They've now dealt with the 2 easy beat teams. Coach says everything
fine, building momentum, blah blah. Getting over the jet lag from the 3
hours flight from Sydney blah blah.
    So, watch out Crusaders eh!

    Where's Dylan?
They need some mongrel. Got only one yellow card last night.

    Indeed.

I wonder what the odds would have been 3 months ago of Allan Dell,
Kristian Dacey, Tomas Francis, Cory Hill, Gareth Davies and Finn
Russell being selected in a Lions team (even if only on the bench). I
don't even know which positions Dacey or Hill play in.

All concentration on the Saturday games now, which is the point of the
    exercise of course.

What a shame all the games are in the evening with good live audiences
    but poor playing conditions.

Interesting that Tipuric and Lawes are starting midweek so not likely
to be in the test squad. Sinckler rested presumably for the test bench
is more of a worry. Perhaps he will be more responsible -- Itoje seems
to have responded well to a word in his ear.

Could be a fun series. Gatland has the players for his preferred plan.
A shame they haven't had much time to gel behind or to maximise the
    pack performance.

Big pack, attach tight to the breakdown with a big inside centre
(Jamie Roberts type), kick to large wingers, generally kick a lot.

The advantage compared with how he did it with Wales is the pack plus replacements are as good as he'll get his hands on. The plan isn't
hard. A lot will depend on the forwards of course, and how effective
the fast defence is. It worked well in the Saturday games against good backlines. Against the ABs? That is what they are on tour to find out
    :)

It isn't really a Warrenball backline despite Te'o being 12.

I don't have many complaints at all. I'm not sure about Sinckler on
the bench owing to his discipline, apart from that looks good. Four
England backs a bit of a surprise.

    Let the fun begin!

Lions team: L Williams (Wales); A Watson (England), J Davies (Wales),
    B Te'o (England), E Daly (England); O Farrell (England), C Murray
(Ireland); M Vunipola (England), J George (England), T Furlong
(Ireland); AW Jones (Wales), G Kruis (England); P O'Mahony (capt,
    Ireland), S O'Brien (Ireland), T Faletau (Wales).

Replacements: K Owens (Wales), J McGrath (Ireland), K Sinckler
(England), M Itoje (England), S Warburton (Wales), R Webb (Wales), J
    Sexton (Ireland), L Halfpenny (Wales).

Good test. Both teams not working to full potential.
Lions supporters went real quiet early on, offered nothing to the team.
Great try; Williams-Daly-Davies finished by O'Brien.
Alun Wyn Jones and Sam Warburton both look well passed their use-by date.
Fatso Furlong spent a lot of time flopped on the deck like a beached
whale; couldn't keep up, trying to slow the game down.
