No it's something he does. It never happens with you.

For me, it happens when I copy-paste from Wikipedia for example.

If it's text only, nothing happens, but if I mark perhaps too much outside of text and select tables, even partially, problem occurs even in my own post.

This whole thread post my wiki quote is messed up because we're quoting it.

I'm now convinced it's one of his signatures that's causing this issue. Since it's not always and he changes them periodically.

He copy-pasted and he used tab paragraph in one his signatures and is it's being quoted it's causing issues.

I never adresssed this issue. And even now, I'm saying he can do as he wishes.

But now that we discovered the root cause and fixing it doesn't require much effort, certainly not " to change his behaviour", he may do it to accommodate us, removing line or paragraph in one his signatures (not sure which one) will solve it.

That's why I said, we can continue and wait until it happens.

Look everything is fine for me it's only occasionally that one of his signatures probably creates this problem.

I'm not suggesting he should stop using them. Removing a troublesome linebreak would suffice. If he chooses to.

OK. If you see the issue generated in relation to a particular signature or signatures, let me know. The files, themselves, as ascii files, and T-Bird will attach either a sig that you enter and save on the setup tab, or it will go to a file that you've
listed on that same set up tab. You choose which. Yes. If it turns out to be an easy fix at this end, why not?

I've found 3 posts, I replied those. It seems to be just one sig.

    He already did.

I note your own post contained long lines in the body, the very thing you're complaining about.

    Longlines?
I don't complain about long lines.
    Look.

I've learned to live with it.

But generally the presence of just one tab paragraph (his one sig or copying tables from wiki etc) causes whole text to be nonwrapable in this app and thus you can't really read it on this app as you can't scroll right. You can only scroll down.

So the only way to read such post is to press reply button but then you know what happens, it's always difficult to quote and fight the text. Generally in order to answer someone's post I need to read it first, get the idea, and then press reply button
    and fight the text.

It's difficult to fight the text without reading the post first.

If you have to press reply button without reading it first, it's like 5 times more difficult to answer as you have to dissect one sentence by one.

So I tended to answer really short in such cases.

I'm sacrificing a lot with this app. I gained something but I lost a lot too. --

But that's a problem that only affects you, and is easily remedied byusing a different newsreader. But by *replying* with that newsreader you are affecting everyone else. When you or Pete reply in threads it irrevocably turns the quotedmessage history
into a jumbled pile of garbled text. It affects theentire descendant branch of your reply, not just direct replies to yourpost. The result is that one can no longer write inline replies effectively.Instead, one has to switch context and hunt through the
thread itself tosee who wrote a particular ancestor message. So, by using that newsreader to post you guys are bringing down thelevel of discourse here. I've accepted that you and Pete have decidedto put your own convenience above everyone else. OK, no
problem, it'san unmoderated forum and I'm happy with that. But gosh, it seems likethe height of narcissism to then turn around and ask others who *are*following proper protocol to compromise themselves to furtherconvenience you and reward you for using
    a faulty client.

But you are having same trouble quoting as us, it's no different. I have to manually correct the text, for this to work. You could do it too.

OTOH, with that paragraph thing, we don't have just trouble quoting, we have trouble reading.

So it's much more for us.

You can read these posts just fine?
