• Joe Biden's mental state

From TT@21:1/5 to All on Wed Mar 6 22:48:48 2024
Looks pretty bad currently. The decline seems to be quite rapid.

Here he's meeting king of Jordan:
    https://youtu.be/kd3hSSRVDso?t=200

...Not sure if funny or sad.

Biden & poll numbers (he's currently losing):
    https://youtu.be/WiRhPkYgiOY?t=13

    Here he seems utterly confused:
    https://youtu.be/xb_6z8tYpgc

...Did he say that he better not answer questions or he'll get in trouble?

Here he keeps calling Gaza Ukraine:
    https://youtu.be/F02ZG_b0Hz4

I don't think that's really a gaffe, seems that he doesn't even realize
    what he's speaking.

Seems to me that Biden is not even currently fit to be president, not to mention for next 5 years. Sad.

    And the Mexican president Sisi.

Yeah. Maybe he's so relieved on getting the name right that any old
country will do after that. Worse option is that he doesn't connect name
    with location any more.

    It's all good, and beautiful.

Who can really blame him... so many countries and even more leaders.

Obama is illegally running the country in a third term. Biden is just

Clinton is an alpha male and doesn't have to rape anyone, or pay to porn actresses.

That's kinda the idea when asking for links.

No need for external interpretations or evaluations.

Well... unlikely that I'm gonna watch that thing in its entirety.
Watched couple short commentaries on it and it seems that Joe did what

Your OP wasn't about his message.

I'm less worried about who wins between Trump and Biden, than I am
about what happens if/when Harris succeeds Biden if he wins.

Do you have any thoughts on that, j?

There's something not very likeable about her. But that doesn't
necessarily mean she'd make a poor president.

Yes, there is an immediate surface unlikeability, like with the actor
Richard Dreyfus (but for different reasons). But during the debates for
the 2020 nomination, she was 'way too willing to play the race card. In
the context of the time, it was irresponsible, in my opinion.

Love the comparison to Dreyfuss. :)
You're right, there's something irritating about him as well. Although
still has quite a few good films.

Does that mean that Americans don't mind when their regime ignites wars and causes tragedies around the world?

So I'm straying too far in my own thread?

But isn't Biden's politics - his ability to be a president - the real
    beef here...

I don't know what your beef is.  You complain about policies which
wouldn't matter to anyone not living here.

Dude, we're having DEI consultants here. Some people kneeling for
George Floyd. Gender Studies and Intersectional Feminism are taught in
Helsinki University, there's a doctoral programme. It all came from
California and spread like wildfire all over the world.

This illustrates the difference between the west and the east better
    than anything.

This was embraced with open arms in most western industrial countries,
but in places like Russia, they simply beat and intimidate proponents of woke, is what I think.

Something like that. "all over the world" was probably incorrect...
"western word" would have been more accurate.

I don't think woke has spread to East, Africa... don't really know about Latin-/South America?

although this does exist to an extent, for sure), it's based in the public abandonment of traditional gender roles.I think in many traditional cultures social labor and duties were parceled out based on traditional assignment by gender: men did certain

can tolerate variation from this, it requires effort. And I know now that I'll never accommodate deviations as the norm.So I think the ground-level, gut level opposition by Slavic societies to homo/trans/feminism is anxiety over the abandonment of needed

and in some vague way, it's an existential threat to the culture."Now whether this is right or wrong, accurate or inaccurate, this discussion is not concerned with that; it's concerned with the central objection to these practices by eastern, and
specifically Slavic, culture. What do you think?

    I'm not sure.

Yes, it makes sense the way you describe it, but would it not be arrogant to claim only Slavs have common sense?

Or that this is somehow ingrained in them and others lack it. I do not think it is.

Imo you can wreck any nation and destroy people's souls. For Slavs it just did not happen yet, they've been shielded from western democracy until 1990s but after 30 years you already see the gains.

Correction. Many nations have already succumbed and are on path to hell.

This war is primarily about Russia's effort to defend its world, other Slavs are unsalvageable.

But how do we stay normal?
    Violence is imo the key.

Once they establish that man can not touch a woman or punish her under any circumstances or for no reason, women get empowered and death spiral of entire society begins.

That's why CIA probably killed Navalny to have him replaced with his wife and another group of women.

    https://www.politico.eu/article/meet-the-russian-women-taking-on-putin/

That's also why Russia decriminalised domestic violence.

If a man slaps a woman, it's between them, state should not interfere.

sometimes hostile physical environment. But what I'm postulating is that for whatever reason Slavic culture is more resistant to changing this, and to me it suggests that Slavic cultures may have been under more duress until only recently, relative to the
developed western acquisitive cultures.Once there's greater cultural wealth and security, roles become less important, and you can afford to have a couple of your sons be pussy-boys and your daughters pretend to be men and join the military, whereas
under duress *everyone* must execute their traditionally assigned (evolved) roles. The external indicator of cultures that can tolerate more social deviation from traditional norms is probably GDP per capita.>>> Imo you can wreck any nation and destroy

greater wealth and security form a sort of buffer that can shield marginal behaviors. You can afford to get away with poor judgement, duty-shirking, etc. Instead of getting three strikes, as you would one hundred years ago in the west, you now get 7
strikes--maybe more. That's exactly the case for the street homeless here in the US. They struck out long ago, but the general society lacks the stomach to handle them by suspending some of their civil rights and applying force in lieu of their failed
willpower. Workcamps, anyone? Up until maybe 15 years ago, at most, this thought would never have crossed my mind, but then I had not seen the logical result of expanding civil liberties with no requirement for conformity to approved social norms--and by
this I mean simple local laws. And that's been direction of the west for quite a long time now.Same path is undercutting Japanese culture--extra wealth/security buffers an entire generation of non-reproductive nerds.>>> This war is primarily about Russia'

so much as why Slavic culture has been markedly more resistant to decadent aberrations than all of western Europe and the European-influenced western hemisphere. In this sense the Slavic culture is closer to mainstream Islam.>>>>> But how do we stay

But Japan is interesting. It's likewise a wealthy society and demographically collapsing, they're nerds and disfunctional and so on, yet you don't get to have "empowered" women in the same sense as in the west.
