There's something not very likeable about her. But that doesn't
necessarily mean she'd make a poor president.

Yes, there is an immediate surface unlikeability, like with the actor
Richard Dreyfus (but for different reasons). But during the debates for
the 2020 nomination, she was 'way too willing to play the race card. In
the context of the time, it was irresponsible, in my opinion.

Imo you can wreck any nation and destroy people's souls. For Slavs it just did not happen yet, they've been shielded from western democracy until 1990s but after 30 years you already see the gains.

greater wealth and security form a sort of buffer that can shield marginal behaviors. You can afford to get away with poor judgement, duty-shirking, etc. Instead of getting three strikes, as you would one hundred years ago in the west, you now get 7
strikes--maybe more. That's exactly the case for the street homeless here in the US. They struck out long ago, but the general society lacks the stomach to handle them by suspending some of their civil rights and applying force in lieu of their failed

But Japan is interesting. It's likewise a wealthy society and demographically collapsing, they're nerds and disfunctional and so on, yet you don't get to have "empowered" women in the same sense as in the west.
