Didn't Andy Murray have the same record at the AO? Medvedev will probably have an Andy Murray type of career when all is said and done. I'd take it. Medvedev has won close to $40 million in prize money alone. I'm sure that will help console him. That's
more important.
I don't think money has real importance at that point. Surely Meds is
now playing for titles not money.
Medvedev played his heart out at the AO 2024 final. What more can you ask? It's good Sinner won IMO. We need a few players capable of winning slams and capable of beating Djokovic at the slams. Right now, it's a pretty good mix of players who
can potentially do that(Medvedev, Zverev on a good day, Sinner, Alcaraz, etc.)
Yep. Meds gave it his all, the legs & power just weren't there in the
end. No shame in that.
And yes, it's good that Sinner won, one more potential slam winner makes
the tour more exciting for sure. Nobody wants to watch Djoke beating
same teens forever and ever.
