Hello there!
I did not see the match but at least according
to the score board, Taylor Fritz fought well
during the first two sets. The first set he
lost was a tiebreak set and the second set
he managed to win 6-4. Then back came Djoker
and finished the match by winning the following
sets 6-2 6-3.
So Djoker is through to the semifinals and
extends his head-to-head stats against Fritz to
a devastating 9-0 lead.
Sinner just beat Rublev. I missed the beginning
of the match, but joined during the middle part
of the second set. Rublev lead the second set
tiebreak 5-1, but Sinner did not give in. Instead
he won six points in a row and won the tiebreak
7-5. I laughed so hard when that happened and
shouted:"VAMOS!". I think the third set was
6-3 and the match was over. Rublev had at least
8 break points during the match, but Sinner
saved all of them!
This means that Djoker vs Sinner semifinal
should happen. Let's hope that both players
stay healthy and are able to compete at their
highest level.
br,
KK
Before watching these 2 matches I had Sinner as
fave to beat Novak. I found Sinner very
unconvincing in his win over Rublev so now am back
trekking and have to once again have Novak as the fave.
Djokovic vs Sinner: Four sets for Djokovic
to win that match. I mean, come on! Nadal
and Federer couldn't even beat Djokovic at
the AO(I think Federer did it only once?) so
we're expecting ball-basher Sinner to do it?
I don't see it. I would love to be incorrect.

So it's Sinner to win AO & Wimbledon this year, Carlos FO, and Carlos or Sinner at USO. Olympic gold also to Carlos, he should be at his best on clay.

Yippy!!!! Good job, Sinner! It's been so long since somebody beat Djokoturd at the AO! So, Alcaraz did it at Wimbledon and now Sinner at the AO! Finally, two younger players with some cojones and enough skill to do it!
It's funny, Djokovic has every important record but still he'll never really have the love and adoration to the degree Nadal and especially Federer had. You really can't have it all it seems. Pipe Cleaner and his fans will have to accept that. It's a

Flip flop? No, I just factor into my analysis when new facts are in.
Like eg I put Federer in 3rd place when he is beaten by 2 guys. I am

you mean Alcaraz, not Zverev? But yes it's possible that Nadal is
done. But if he isn't then RG title wouldn't be a stretch.Alkie
impressed me at Wimbledon last year, I think he's kinda natural on
the surface, fits well for his versatility & improvisation. Then
again, that doesn't mean he's gonna win it again.
No, I think Zverev is more steady and fit to do well on clay. I
think Alcaraz will go through a year or two to tighten his game
and find the right mix of his tools to consistently
win.
We'll see, but I think players can't hurt Carlos as much on clay, slows
the shots down a bit. I felt like he was going to beat Novak last FO
but then the cramps hit.
