• Djoker now in a blistering form

From Kalevi Kolttonen@21:1/5 to All on Sun Jan 21 20:15:09 2024
    Hello!

I cannot believe that Djoker beat Mannarino
6-0, 6-0, 6-3. I did not see the match, but
according to the eye-witness reports, Djoker
was in a blistering form. Wow what a devastating
score line and this was a fourth round match!

Elsewhere Taylor Fritz beat Stefanos Tsitsipas
in four sets and that means we will a have a
Djoker vs Fritz quarter final. Djoker
    has 8-0 head-to-head record against
Taylor Fritz, so he is a firm favourite to
win, but they had a close five set match
    in Melbourne in 2021.

Djoker's win is very likely, but not
100% certain if Fritz can play to the best
of this capability and Djoker will have
    a not-so-great day.

What is more, speaking of records, this
quarter final is Djoker's #58 in Grand
Slam tournaments. He is now tied with
    Roger Federer concerning this record.

Unless Djoker hurts himself in a really
horrible way and has to quit tennis altogether,
I am absolutely sure that Djoker will reach
another Grand Slam quarter final and then the
    record will be his only.

    KK

Djoker vs Sinner semifinal is really a match that many
fans would like to see. Sinner, too, is in a great
shape and it seems that he is ready to win his first
    Grand Slam title.

Who cares about a QF grand slam record?
That's a meaningless record. Djokovic the nutter has
surpassed Federer on every pertinent record already
    so what's another pointless one?

It is far from pointless. It proves that you have
played at a very high level for a long time.

Calendar Grand Slam is a pointless record based
    just on superstition.

LOL! Good luck with that! 😂 I'll be shocked if Sinner
beats Djokovic here. I'd love to be wrong.

If I remember right, the three latest matches between
    Djoker and Sinner are:

Sinner won in the ATP Finals
Djoker won in the ATP Finals (the final match)
Sinner won in the Davis Cup

So Jannik Sinner has shown that he is capable of beating
    Djoker, but you never know.

you said Taylor Fritz has a chance!

If Fritz serves extremely well and Djoker
has an off-day, he could win. However, the
odds of that happening are admittedly low.

Given 8-0 head-to-head, Djoker must feel
super confident going into the match.
