don't support either, both are total criminals from what can see :

Hamas - just want power and don't care how many Palestinians who are stupid enough to still support them get killed. People seem to be missing if Israel do take over Gaza, the Hamas leaders will just go to Afghanistan, Syria, Libya or Europe and lead
terrorist groups there instead, they'll have "we took out over 1000 Jews" on their CV, they'll get terrorist jobs asap.

Israel - cutting off water for 2 million people and demanding 1.1million just up and leave the area they live in as you're going to bomb them must be considered a war crime. Also they can't keep rocketting places, blowing up churches as collatoral damage,
killing 50 randoms at a time and saying "oh there was a terrorist HQ next door". What if us Brits had done that in Ireland?

PWL glad to see that woman standing up to CNN but where are you videos about Israeli kids who had their parents killed? the big thing is Hamas started all this by deciding to go kidnap/shoot 1000 Jews, for what purpose, exactly??

    Pretty much.

I do sympathize with Israel more though, tough to live in that neck of
    woods. Besides they're God's chosen people. :)

Then they'll come to Finland as refugee, forgot their papers, have
different name, forgot their CV too but are definitely all engineers.

Or like the Iranian "refugee" who murdered his Norwegian wife and had
removed his fingerprints. Anyway has now Finnish wife and living happily
    here. Welcome.

Yes, cutting off water is war crime.
I understand it as extra incentive to move the fuck away from Gaza (to
    where?)

PWL glad to see that woman standing up to CNN but where are you videos about Israeli kids who had their parents killed? the big thing is Hamas started all this by deciding to go kidnap/shoot 1000 Jews, for what purpose, exactly??

Don't know if true but they also killed a handicapped kid in wheelchair.
Real enemy of the state, that one. Hard to find that depraved people in
    the west, including Israel.

CNN's Clarissa Ward is awesome war reporter. She really puts herself and
her crew in the line around the world from conflict to conflict.

Also Anderson Cooper got some points recently for staying cool as a
cucumber on camera in Israel when rockets were coming to the city.
All approaching Hamas' rockets in the background were intercepted by
Iron Dome though, that's quite a sight... google "Iron dome in action"
    or such...

There is a lot more room in the West Bank, especially if Israel stops with the settlements.

You are saying it should be fair to keep hammering civilians and kick them out to live almost in concentration camps.

    It was never fair unfortunately.

The land grab never stopped while they pretend to be a peaceful nation, getting settlers to take place Palestinian citizens and keep building fences to protect new land gains.

This is how fair it has been

It all dates back to when the 2 state solution was set up by Britain and the allies. The pieces of the pie were pretty evenly distributed.

The Arabs rejected it and attacked Israel. The rest is history.

Anyway, during Ottoman rule from 1516 to 1917 :

"The area had a relatively sparse population. Throughout their rule, the Ottomans encouraged #Muslim migration to #Palestine, primarily from
#Egypt and #Sudan. This is, in fact, the origin of many of today's Palestinians, as indicated by the surnames of major clans."

"The area had a relatively sparse population. Throughout their rule, the Ottomans encouraged #Muslim migration to #Palestine, primarily from
#Egypt and #Sudan. This is, in fact, the origin of many of today's Palestinians, as indicated by the surnames of major clans."

no, it never "officially" existed. There were thousands of Jews there, as said the Jews mass-immigrated and took over the place, it was classic full-scale Kalergi, keep asking Pelle surely the Arabs should've weclomed them in?

    You stole it from Russia.
Finnskies do have a somewhat Palestinian history. Centuries of being
second class citizens on own soil might explain a thing or two you see
now. Including why Finland is the most racist country in Europe. Like
LBJ says, a deplorable needs someone to turn the tables on:

Civil society was worried. Young men of noble birth were not interested
in social affairs, let alone in the cultivation of land inherited, but
in the fashions and amusements of the capital. At the same time, women's freedoms increased, leading to a decline in the birth rate of the upper
    class.

It was painfully clear that the white race was losing its strength. It
would fall inexorably at the feet of others—peoples who were essentially
more barbaric than whites: more stupid, more violent, and more sexual.
That's why they also fertilize more vigorously.

Worst of all, the elite of this northern land was besieged by alien
races. The lower social classes belonged to the eastern or Mongolian
race, whose representatives' innate inferiority was evident from their
ugly appearance, such as high cheekbones and ignoble, upright noses. In addition, they spoke an incomprehensible non-European language, Finnish.

Still, universal and equal voting rights had been demanded for them -
and now the Finnish language was being pushed for an equal status
alongside the noble Germanic Swedish! The course of development would inevitably lead to the final decline of society or at least to a decline
    in the level of art.

This is what the teacher Richard Malmberg alias Gustav Alm implied in
1907 in his satire Höstdagar. Contemporary writer Ture Janson painted
even darker visions of Almiak. The lonely Finno-Swedish protagonists of
his novels felt that they were left at the feet of the "black Finnish
mass", and Western high culture trampled along with them.

    Too cold for civilization

At the beginning of the 20th century, the squinting of Finnish speakers
was by no means exceptional - or new. Already in the 17th century, the intelligentsia of the Kingdom of Sweden had noted that the Finnish
language was not related to Sweden or most other European languages.
They speculate about Finns' kinship with Mongols and Huns, but also with Hebrews and Scythians, the ancient people of the Eurasian steppes.
However, the attitude was still neutral or slightly positive.

Systematic theories about human races began to take shape in the 18th
century. The racial classifications of that time mainly represented the stereotyping of people's basic characteristics and appearance. The
differences were often explained by environmental factors, such as
climate: in Africa, the hot sun roasted people's skin black.

The French naturalist Georges Leclerc de Buffon (1707–1788) thought that
only in the temperate zone, i.e. in Europe, a high culture could arise.
The region of too cold for civilization started in Stockholm and Turku
and continued up north. On the same lines as De Buffon were such great
names of the Enlightenment as Immanuel Kant, Adam Smith and Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

In 1795, the German anthropologist Johann Friedrich Blumenbach divided
humanity into five races. The first and original race was European, i.e.
white, or Caucasian, from which the other races had degenerated due to
the influence of the environment. In Blumenbach's opinion, the Caucasian
race was the most beautiful of the races - the ancient marble statue was
for him the universal human ideal.

The other four races were Ethiopian, or black, and Mongolian, American,
and Malay. According to Blumenbach, North Africans and "inhabitants of
Eastern Asia" belonged to the Caucasian race, while Finns belonged to
    the Mongolian race.

The alienation of Finns intensified at the beginning of the 19th
century, when Sweden lost the territory of Finland to Russia. The change
of power "moved" Finland to the east in the minds of Western Europeans,
and the Swedes' feeling of alienation towards the people of the north
who speak a strange language grew stronger.

    Born to be a subject

In the 1840s, the German anthropologist Gustav Klemm classified humanity
into "masculine and active" and "feminine and passive" races. The former
sought power, traded and created art, examples being the Arabs,
Persians, Greeks, Romans and Germans. The Finns' place, on the other
hand, was among the feminine and passive races, along with the Mongols
    and "negroes".

The definition of a highly developed and highly civilized person was
clear: he was intelligent, active, disciplined, capable of creating art
and science, and lived in an organized state. In appearance, the tops of
the racial hierarchy were assumed to be tall, stocky, and fair.

Already Blumenbach had outlined craniology, i.e. the doctrine that human characteristics could also be deduced from the shape of the skull. The
theory was developed to its peak by the Swedish anatomy professor Anders Retzius (1796–1860). He created an index to determine the proportions of skulls: the maximum width of the skull was multiplied by one hundred and
this was divided by the maximum length of the skull.

According to Retzius, long-skulls, or dolichocephals, represented all
the virtues of a high-quality human being. Brachycephals, on the other
hand, were not capable of independent thinking. Their biological destiny
was to obey their master—“an instinct common to brachycephals and dogs,” as the French anthropologist Georges Vacher de Lapouge (1854–1936)
    crudely put it.

According to the skull index of Retzius, the skulls of the Swedes and
other peoples speaking Germanic languages were long. Finns, on the other
hand, were classified as short-headed - as were Slavs and Turks.
However, according to Retzius, the mentioned peoples were not Mongols,
but descendants of the so-called Turanians.

The Turanians were believed to have been the original inhabitants of
Europe, who had been left at the feet of the Indo-Germanic, or Aryan, conquerors and had been their subjects ever since.

    Beautiful and honorable

The theory of the Aryans, an ancient superior conquering nation of
Indian origin and later migrated to Europe, was born at the beginning of
the 19th century. It was fueled by the observation of the kinship of the
    Latin and Sanskrit languages.

Aryanism and racial fervor were taken to the extreme by the Frenchman
Joseph Arthur de Gobineau in his work Essai sur l'inegalité des Races
humaines (Essay on the Inequality of Human Races) published in 1853.
Gobineau outlined three races of humanity: the whites, or Aryans, the
Mongols, and the blacks, or Negroes.

According to Gobineau, the Aryans were tall, fair, slender and beautiful
and "strong and skilled rulers of others". All high culture was
basically created by the Aryans. The word "Aryan" meant the same as
"noble" (Sanskrit arya) or "honor" (German Ehre).

An aristocrat – or at least he considered himself one – Gobineau was concerned about both the mixing of races and the loosening of the social hierarchy. He idealized his image of ancient Sweden: at the top were the
noble "earls", in other words, pure Aryans, next were the mixed-race
peasants, or "karls", and the most basic were the slaves consisting of
    Finns.

In Gobineau's opinion, the Finns belonged to the Mongols: a practical
and comfort-seeking race that was not able to independently create any
higher civilization or to control itself. According to Gobineau, the
Finns' history included, among other things, cannibalism.

The racialization of social hierarchies was not Gobineau's invention,
but was an old practice in his native France. Already in the 16th
century, the country's nobility had "justified" their status by
declaring themselves Germanic Franks, while the people, according to
them, descended from the Celtic Gauls. According to race theorists, the
Celts were indeed European, but at a lower level than the Germanic and
Romanic peoples. Many equated mullets with Finns.

Several contemporaries, such as Charles Darwin, the father of the theory
of evolution, considered Gobineau an unscientific hobbyist. In the newly
united German Empire (1871–1918), on the other hand, for example, the composer Richard Wagner and his circle of acquaintances made Gobineau's
ideas known; In Finland, pro-Swedish people were especially enthusiastic
about them, who opposed efforts to improve the status of Finnish and its speakers.

These so-called Svekomans were led by Professor Axel Olof Freudenthal
(1836 –1911). His supporters did not come exclusively or even mainly
from the upper class, but from the Finno-Swedish communities of small
    coastal towns.

The Svekomans declared that two separate peoples lived in Finland:
Swedes and Finns. The former represented the last bastion of Western civilization in the East. The Finns, on the other hand, were "Zudians",
Asian wild people who, without the influence of the Swedes, would never
have been able to become civilized.

According to the Swedes, the Finnish language was ugly and unsuitable
for the language of higher civilization. Finnish folk poetry was also of
low quality and its heroes were laughable compared to the gallant
Scandinavian folklore: for example, Väinämöinen cried every now and then.

Interest in Finns also grew elsewhere in the 1870s, when Europe was
shaken by the so-called Finnenfrage, i.e. the Finnish question. After
the Franco-Prussian war, the French anthropologist Armand de Quatrefages
vented his bitterness towards the Prussians by declaring them to be a
barbaric race. These were not real Europeans, but mixed with Finns and
    Slavs through Estonians.

The Swedish anthropologist Gustaf Retzius, son of Anders Retzius,
started to take a stand on this dispute. In 1873, the expedition led by
him toured Hämet and Karelia, photographed and drew local people and
measured their skulls. Retzius wrote in his notes that the typical Finn
was "uncouth and slow, heavy-set and clumsy in his body movements, very
    old in every way".

However, according to historian Juho Pekkarinen, Retzius' perceptions of
Finns were "relatively objective and positive compared to the prevailing contemporary views".

    Civilization is inherited

At the end of the 19th century, the theory of evolution became the
dominant understanding of the development of life. The theory of
evolution gained acceptance among naturalists quickly after Charles
Darwin introduced it in his book On the Origin of Species in 1859.

According to Darwin, evolution is a "blind watchmaker" that has no real
goal. Darwin's compatriot, the English natural philosopher Herbert
Spencer (1820–1903), on the other hand, believed that natural selection always strives towards perfection. According to him, this led to the
fact that some creatures are innately more developed than others,
    including humans.

Spencer's ideas gave rise to so-called social Darwinism, which explained
the social and cultural differences between people with natural
selection. Vacher de Lapouge used it to justify the class division in
Finland as follows: since the Swedish speakers were socially in a better position than the Finnish speakers, the mental abilities of the Finnish speakers must naturally be lower than the Swedish speakers.

For many, the biologically based concept of man meant that a person was
a prisoner of his "blood", i.e. his inheritance, a mechanism carrying
out the orders of his innate instincts. Literary scholar Päivi Molarius
says in the article collection Uusi uljas inmins that a popular subject
in Finnish literature at the beginning of the 20th century was the Finnish-speaking high school student with a peasant background who could
never become "really" civilized - not to the extent of the sophisticated Finnos-Swedes.

The highly-educated Finnish-speaker was often an overconfident, somewhat ridiculous "half-lord" to the upper class. "Culture is not learned, it
is inherited", declares a Finno-Swedish character named Albert Hagen in
Toivo Tarvaksen's novel From Different Levels, published in 1911.

As the position of Finnish speakers improved, the concern of
Finno-Swedes for their own and Finland's future deepened. In 1911, the so-called Florin Committee started its activities in Finland, which
encouraged the Finno-Swedes to have as many healthy children as possible
in order to preserve their culture - the bastion of Westernism - in Finland.

Ten years later, the world's first racial biology institute was
established in Uppsala to map the heritage of the Swedish people. The
director of the institute, Herman Lundborg, was horrified by Finns'
    immigration and mixing with Swedes.

The civil war of 1918 proved to many pro-Swedes what Gobineau,
Freudenthal and others had declared: the Finns were innately prone to
mass hysteria and crime, and they needed a Germanic leader to keep them
    in check.

According to this interpretation, the civil war was about the
unrestrained rebellion of the red Finns against the law brought by the
Swedes. The interpretation completely ignored the fact that there were
plenty of Finnish speakers on the white side as well.

In the 1920s, the Finns were once again lumped into a race partly
descended from the Mongols. According to the German anthropologist Hans Günther, this "Eastern Baltic" race was diligent in physical work, but
passive in spirit. Once again, the Finn was a creature that could only
reach its peak of civilization under the patronage of superior races.

A new immigration law, the so-called Johnson-Reed Act, was introduced in
the United States in 1924. It has also been called the Asian Exclusion
Act, as it practically prevented the immigration of residents of Asian countries to the United States and also severely limited the entry of
    Eastern and Southern Europeans.

The law, lobbied by eugenicists, favored the immigration of people from countries of "higher intelligence", i.e. Western and Northern Europe.
The citizens of newly independent Finland were not included among the
Northern Europeans, but Eastern Europeans. The Asian Exclusion Act was
    only repealed in 1965.

Mongolianness is a matter of honor

The Finns themselves have contradictory reactions to claims about their
racial nature. For example, Johan Vilhelm Snellman (1806–1881) did not
flinch at insinuations of inferiority. He believed that man could
transcend his race through conscious effort and free will. It would even
have been great for him if the Finns got the honor of being "the first
    highly civilized Mongolian nation".

Elias Lönnrot, not only a collector of folk poetry but also a
naturalist, on the other hand denied the Mongolianness of Finns after
traveling in Eastern Finland in the 19th century. For him, the Finns
were either Europeans or a mixture between Mongolian and Germanic - the
latter opinion was by no means exceptional even among European scholars.

Fennoman Yrjö Sakari Yrjö-Koskinen, on the other hand, romanticized
Mongols and Huns in his writings and saw kinship with them as a matter
of honor. The linguist Jooseppi Julius Mikkola evaluated the
Mongolianness of Finns in his 1907 work Oma maa like this: "We shouldn't
be ashamed of this, because the Japanese who belong to the Mongolian
race have shown clearly enough what the Mongolian race is capable of, unfortunately the characteristics just don't match in the first place."

    Barbarius lived a long time

Blumenbach, from whom the claim that the Finns were Mongols originated,
had actually seen no more than three skulls of the Finns. According to historian Aira Kemiläinen, a similar narrowness of research material and ethnocentric thought biases – prejudice in favor of one's own people – plagued race science throughout the 19th century. Also Anders Retzius
had once consciously selected his collection of Swedish skulls in such a
way that he had excluded skulls that looked too "foreign".

Studies from the beginning of the 20th century found that there was no significant physical difference between Finns and Finno-Swedes. However,
the concept of Finns' barbarism lived for a long time in the
Scandinavian and German popular imagination and encyclopedias. In race
maps, Finland was the area of the "yellow race".

Back in the 1950s, a German professor of ethnology spoke seriously to
Aira Kemläinen about the "creepy and bad nature of the Eastern Baltic
people", and in the 1960s, a professor of physical anthropology at
Uppsala University lectured students on the differences between long-
    and short-skull peoples.

The age-old barbaric imagery still lived on when in Sweden in 1975,
Swedes' images of Swedish Finns were mapped: they were violent, drunk
and sexually capable. Finns were even believed to grow potatoes in
apartment buildings. As late as 2011, the Swedish film Jägarna 2
featured a scruffy knife-wielding villain - who, of course, cursed in
    Finnish.

I hadn't heard of this potato thing, but whatta you know! Google gives
tons of advice on how to turn anything from buckets to balconies into
    potato patches!

rockets at Israel since 2007, they're mentally disturbed and power-obsessed, that's why Egypt also blockaded and sanctioned goods to Gaza too, remember?

My sympathy towards Palestineans is a sympathy towards occupied people. Only for that.

It's unheard of in history of the world that someone is occupied for this long.

It's a message to everyone, how we would all end up if Jews gain absolute power.

Other that that, I realize Egypt and other Arabs are using Palestineans to fight the Jews. Arabs too are blocking Palestineans from leaving Palestine as they know if Palestineans leave, Jews will annex the occupied land devoid of Palestineans.

I'm really no fan of Islam, and I'm not a fan of Arab empire, I wish we (Romans) won the battle of Yarmouk and had we done it, the whole Mediterranean would have remained Christian.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Yarmuk

    Date 15–20 August 636

The Battle of the Yarmuk (also spelled Yarmouk) was a major battle between the army of the Byzantine Empire and the Arab Muslim forces of the Rashidun Caliphate. The battle consisted of a series of engagements that lasted for six days in August 636, near
the Yarmouk River (also called Hieromyces River), along what are now the borders of Syria–Jordan and Syria-Israel, southeast of the Sea of Galilee.

The result of the battle was a complete Muslim victory that ended Byzantine rule in Syria. The Battle of the Yarmuk is regarded as one of the most decisive battles in military history, and it marked the first great wave of early Muslim conquests after
the death of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, heralding the rapid advance of Islam into the then-Christian Levant.

    But.

Moslems are less dangerous than the Jews. They have lower IQ and they're unable to infiltrate Europe in the same vein Jews are able to.

And Moslems even though are wrong, as Jesus is Son of God, but they respect Jesus as they have him as a prophet ranked bellow their main prophet Mohamad. Their religion tells them to respect Jesus, and you know how blindly they follow their religion so
if they're properly educated in Islam, they won't desecrate sites related to Jesus.

Mohamad or Jesus insulting cartoons are both an offense to them.

Jews otoh spit on Jesus. It's what Judaism is all about, negation of Christ.

    So the choice is clear.

Russia is doing this pivot to historical reconciliation and an agreement on sphere of influence between orthodox Christianity and Islam.

Basically, Huntington clash of civilisations map, you'll get orthodox Christianity, Islam and China as a single block against the Jewish West.

    https://www.stratfor.com/sites/default/files/styles/stratfor_large__s_/public/main/images/clash-civilizations.png?itok=cGgRzieJ

If western people reclaim their nations, depose Jews who rule over them, then we could all get along.

In that case the world war won't happen.

Civil society was worried. Young men of noble birth were not interested

and now the Finnish language was being pushed for an equal status
alongside the noble Germanic Swedish!

Systematic theories about human races began to take shape in the 18th century. The racial classifications of that time mainly represented the stereotyping of people's basic characteristics and appearance. The differences were often explained by environmental factors, such as
climate: in Africa, the hot sun roasted people's skin black.

The French naturalist Georges Leclerc de Buffon (1707–1788) thought that only in the temperate zone, i.e. in Europe, a high culture could arise.
The region of too cold for civilization started in Stockholm and Turku
and continued up north. On the same lines as De Buffon were such great
names of the Enlightenment as Immanuel Kant, Adam Smith and Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

In 1795, the German anthropologist Johann Friedrich Blumenbach divided humanity into five races. The first and original race was European, i.e. white, or Caucasian, from which the other races had degenerated due to
the influence of the environment. In Blumenbach's opinion, the Caucasian
race was the most beautiful of the races - the ancient marble statue was
for him the universal human ideal.

The other four races were Ethiopian, or black, and Mongolian, American,
and Malay. According to Blumenbach, North Africans and "inhabitants of Eastern Asia" belonged to the Caucasian race, while Finns belonged to
    the Mongolian race.

The former sought power, traded and created art, examples being the Arabs,
Persians, Greeks, Romans and Germans.

Their biological destiny
was to obey their master—“an instinct common to brachycephals and dogs,”
as the French anthropologist Georges Vacher de Lapouge (1854–1936)
    crudely put it.

According to the skull index of Retzius, the skulls of the Swedes and
other peoples speaking Germanic languages were long. Finns, on the other hand, were classified as short-headed - as were Slavs and Turks.

It was fueled by the observation of the kinship of the Latin and Sanskrit languages.

Aryanism and racial fervor were taken to the extreme by the Frenchman
Joseph Arthur de Gobineau in his work Essai sur l'inegalité des Races humaines (Essay on the Inequality of Human Races) published in 1853.
Gobineau outlined three races of humanity: the whites, or Aryans, the Mongols, and the blacks, or Negroes.

He idealized his image of ancient Sweden: at the top were the noble "earls", in other words, pure Aryans, next were the mixed-race peasants, or "karls", and the most basic were the slaves consisting of

According to race theorists, the
Celts were indeed European, but at a lower level than the Germanic and Romanic peoples. Many equated mullets with Finns.

Several contemporaries, such as Charles Darwin, the father of the theory
of evolution, considered Gobineau an unscientific hobbyist. In the newly united German Empire (1871–1918), on the other hand, for example, the composer Richard Wagner and his circle of acquaintances made Gobineau's
ideas known; In Finland, pro-Swedish people were especially enthusiastic about them, who opposed efforts to improve the status of Finnish and its speakers.

Finnish folk poetry was also of
low quality and its heroes were laughable compared to the gallant Scandinavian folklore: for example, Väinämöinen cried every now and then.

Interest in Finns also grew elsewhere in the 1870s, when Europe was
shaken by the so-called Finnenfrage, i.e. the Finnish question. After
the Franco-Prussian war, the French anthropologist Armand de Quatrefages vented his bitterness towards the Prussians by declaring them to be a barbaric race. These were not real Europeans, but mixed with Finns and
    Slavs through Estonians.

The Swedish anthropologist Gustaf Retzius, son of Anders Retzius,
started to take a stand on this dispute. In 1873, the expedition led by
him toured Hämet and Karelia, photographed and drew local people and measured their skulls. Retzius wrote in his notes that the typical Finn
was "uncouth and slow, heavy-set and clumsy in his body movements, very
    old in every way".

However, according to historian Juho Pekkarinen, Retzius' perceptions of Finns were "relatively objective and positive compared to the prevailing contemporary views".

Literary scholar Päivi Molarius
says in the article collection Uusi uljas inmins that a popular subject
in Finnish literature at the beginning of the 20th century was the Finnish-speaking high school student with a peasant background who could never become "really" civilized - not to the extent of the sophisticated Finnos-Swedes.

In 1911, the so-called Florin Committee started its activities in Finland, which encouraged the Finno-Swedes to have as many healthy children as possible
in order to preserve their culture - the bastion of Westernism - in
    Finland.

Ten years later, the world's first racial biology institute was
established in Uppsala to map the heritage of the Swedish people. The director of the institute, Herman Lundborg, was horrified by Finns' immigration and mixing with Swedes.

The civil war of 1918 proved to many pro-Swedes what Gobineau,
Freudenthal and others had declared: the Finns were innately prone to
mass hysteria and crime, and they needed a Germanic leader to keep them
    in check.

According to this interpretation, the civil war was about the
unrestrained rebellion of the red Finns against the law brought by the Swedes. The interpretation completely ignored the fact that there were
plenty of Finnish speakers on the white side as well.

In the 1920s, the Finns were once again lumped into a race partly
descended from the Mongols. According to the German anthropologist Hans Günther, this "Eastern Baltic" race was diligent in physical work, but passive in spirit.

The citizens of newly independent Finland were not included among the Northern Europeans, but Eastern Europeans. The Asian Exclusion Act was
    only repealed in 1965.

Mongolianness is a matter of honor

The Finns themselves have contradictory reactions to claims about their racial nature. For example, Johan Vilhelm Snellman (1806–1881) did not flinch at insinuations of inferiority. He believed that man could
transcend his race through conscious effort and free will. It would even
have been great for him if the Finns got the honor of being "the first
    highly civilized Mongolian nation".

Elias Lönnrot, not only a collector of folk poetry but also a
naturalist, on the other hand denied the Mongolianness of Finns after traveling in Eastern Finland in the 19th century. For him, the Finns
were either Europeans or a mixture between Mongolian and Germanic - the latter opinion was by no means exceptional even among European scholars.

Back in the 1950s, a German professor of ethnology spoke seriously to
Aira Kemläinen about the "creepy and bad nature of the Eastern Baltic people", and in the 1960s, a professor of physical anthropology at
Uppsala University lectured students on the differences between long-
    and short-skull peoples.

The age-old barbaric imagery still lived on when in Sweden in 1975,
Swedes' images of Swedish Finns were mapped: they were violent, drunk
and sexually capable. Finns were even believed to grow potatoes in
apartment buildings. As late as 2011, the Swedish film Jägarna 2
featured a scruffy knife-wielding villain - who, of course, cursed in Finnish.

physical difference between Finns and Finno-Swedes. However, the concept of Finns' barbarism lived for a long time in the Scandinavian and German popular imagination and encyclopedias. In race maps, Finland was the area of the "yellow race".Back in the
1950s, a German professor of ethnology spoke seriously to Aira Kemläinen about the "creepy and bad nature of the Eastern Baltic people", and in the 1960s, a professor of physical anthropology at Uppsala University lectured students on the differences
between long- and short-skull peoples. The age-old barbaric imagery still lived on when in Sweden in 1975, Swedes' images of Swedish Finns were mapped: they were violent, drunk and sexually capable. Finns were even believed to grow potatoes in apartment
buildings. As late as 2011, the Swedish film Jägarna 2 featured a scruffy knife-wielding villain - who, of course, cursed in Finnish.https://www.hs.fi/tiede/art-2000009767934.htmlI hadn't heard of this potato thing, but whatta you know! Google gives

At the same time, women's freedoms increased, leading to a decline in the birth rate of the upper class.

It was painfully clear that the white race was losing its strength. It
would fall inexorably at the feet of others—peoples who were essentially more barbaric than whites: more stupid, more violent, and more sexual.

In Blumenbach's opinion, the Caucasian race was the most beautiful of the races - the ancient marble statue was
for him the universal human ideal.

The other four races were Ethiopian, or black, and Mongolian, American,
and Malay. According to Blumenbach, North Africans and "inhabitants of Eastern Asia" belonged to the Caucasian race, while Finns belonged to
    the Mongolian race.

In the 1840s, the German anthropologist Gustav Klemm classified humanity into "masculine and active" and "feminine and passive" races. The former sought power, traded and created art, examples being the Arabs,
Persians, Greeks, Romans and Germans.

The theory was developed to its peak by the Swedish anatomy professor Anders Retzius (1796–1860). He created an index to determine the proportions of skulls: the maximum width of the skull was multiplied by one hundred and this was divided by the maximum length of the skull.

According to Retzius, long-skulls, or dolichocephals, represented all
the virtues of a high-quality human being. Brachycephals, on the other
hand, were not capable of independent thinking. Their biological destiny
was to obey their master—“an instinct common to brachycephals and dogs,”
as the French anthropologist Georges Vacher de Lapouge (1854–1936)
    crudely put it.

According to the skull index of Retzius, the skulls of the Swedes and
other peoples speaking Germanic languages were long. Finns, on the other hand, were classified as short-headed - as were Slavs and Turks.

He idealized his image of ancient Sweden: at the top were the noble "earls", in other words, pure Aryans, next were the mixed-race peasants, or "karls", and the most basic were the slaves consisting of Finns.

In Gobineau's opinion, the Finns belonged to the Mongols: a practical
and comfort-seeking race that was not able to independently create any higher civilization or to control itself.

According to race theorists, the Celts were indeed European, but at a lower level than the Germanic and Romanic peoples. Many equated mullets with Finns.

Several contemporaries, such as Charles Darwin, the father of the theory
of evolution, considered Gobineau an unscientific hobbyist. In the newly united German Empire (1871–1918), on the other hand, for example, the composer Richard Wagner and his circle of acquaintances made Gobineau's ideas known; In Finland, pro-Swedish people were especially enthusiastic about them, who opposed efforts to improve the status of Finnish and its speakers.

These so-called Svekomans were led by Professor Axel Olof Freudenthal
(1836 –1911). His supporters did not come exclusively or even mainly
from the upper class, but from the Finno-Swedish communities of small coastal towns.

The Svekomans declared that two separate peoples lived in Finland:
Swedes and Finns. The former represented the last bastion of Western civilization in the East. The Finns, on the other hand, were "Zudians", Asian wild people who, without the influence of the Swedes, would never
have been able to become civilized.

According to the Swedes, the Finnish language was ugly and unsuitable
for the language of higher civilization. Finnish folk poetry was also of
low quality and its heroes were laughable compared to the gallant Scandinavian folklore: for example, Väinämöinen cried every now and then.

Retzius wrote in his notes that the typical Finn
was "uncouth and slow, heavy-set and clumsy in his body movements, very
    old in every way".

why don't you leave such a terrible racist place then and go and live in a less racist place like Africa or the Middle East? or are you saying they are really more racist and you couldn't cope with that, you've travelled to other foreign countries, so
you don't have any excuses for not leaving.

so the reason you want to remove all Jews from the planet is cos your Arabic people have more right to the land of Israel cos they lived in the area for centuries before 1948 and cos there's a mysterious "legitmacy of wanting things", we need more info

yes the whole problem with them is they're warmongers, they want the whole of Israel, no compromise cos they know that's impossible and they'll just be on-going fighting. Much like that criminal war-mongers Zelensky and Biden who say they want the whole
of Ukraine including Crimea even though the people there are happy being part of Russia cos they know that won't happen, it'll just be years and years of suffering and weapons $$$ sales.

    false, false, and false
    August 2022:
"But for the record, I think the Israeli abuse of Palestinians is horrendous." - bmoore

    May have said that.

    Oct 2023:
"I hate Hamas they want to kill all Jews, Israel has a right to defend itself and take all Palestinian land" - bmoore

    Didn't say that.
