"Six COVID-19 relief laws enacted in 2020 and 2021 provided about $4.6
trillion of funding for pandemic response and recovery"

Covid spending in 2021 was 1.9 trillion. So obviously 2022 deficit would
    be smaller...

Now it's time for US economy to collapse. First give everyone free
money, then raise rates, then have recession. Great planning. Europe is
equally fucked up, with likely even stickier inflation.

Student loan interest rates are again running, but one can kick the can
for a year before having to pay.

I wonder if it'll be better, still, when the student loan payments
resume next month for the first time since March 2020.

    One would think so.

The most fiscally sound budgets I can recall were under B. Clinton.

isn't Biden saying the students who did gender studies etc. don't have to pay back the loans?

Not that I've heard. So far as I know, it's for borrowers who will go
    into certain public service fields.

    "Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

PSLF allows qualifying federal student loans to be forgiven after 120 qualifying payments (10 years), while working for a qualifying public
    service employer.

If you work or have worked in public service such as government
(federal, U.S. Military, state, local, or tribal) or certain non-profit organizations, you might be eligible for the PSLF Program."

Well, everyone here knows that that's the only proper criteria, so as to
    atone for past wrongs.
