I don't know how I should feel about this. I used to like her, and even if she cleared her name which I doubt she can, I won't be very convinced.

she said it was in her system due to a contamination, why aren't you convinced by that? agree it sounds perhaps like Sharapova which was plain laziness with the procedure, but not sure she's guilty of doing a Lance Armstrong.

That's true but if anybody dug deeper(and really you don't have to go that far) they'd find things on the other top players too. It doesn't compute for me why people can't grasp it.

?! you been on the red wine during the week again?! far as can remember Sharapova tested positive cos she didn't bother reading the doping emails for one random drug, which had only just been banned, it was laziness on her behalf and poor management from
her team, was quite different than Cilic stories etc. Halep sounds quite similar, she's even said she's going to sue the drug company cos of the contamination.

yeah we're meant to believe that Lance Armstrong the biggest name in USA sport and Maria Sharapova the biggest name in women's sport get busted, yet somehow Djoker/Nadal/Fed have all been secretly let off by the doping guys! say this and had no problem
with Lance Armstrong, everyone else in cycling doped for decades, remember being told this in the 90's that was how it was yet nobody cared and the journos never said anything either, be interesting to ask Patrick and see if he admits that.

But all top star of major sports use every advantage known for their purpose.

In tennis we already know caught cases and self-confessed cases like Mac''s horsedope or Agassi's meth or Becker's sleeping pills)

I made list of potential tennis super-dope users 15y+ ago?

    1 Capriati
    2 Muster
    3 ?

I also think that Robin Soderling sudden retirement of sport was due doping fail, rather than his excuse (he left tour completely after winning a tournament and a great 1st half of a season)

Note: similar sudden retirement happened with Nicolas Escude.

Djokovic is mentally ill and a very stupid man, but
when it comes to tennis, he is the GOAT.

Of course he uses doping just like everyone else.
Djoker is genious or mentally ill or clever or stupid.

Sweden invented blood doping late 60:ies (1st Olympic Gold- Lundbäck Sapporo 1972) but Finnish progressed it soon way further. (instead of using 3rd party blood, you use own frozen blood taken from when in high altitude)

This was super-sure "you will not get busted" method". But 1988/1989 came EPO which did same but way easier and better - but this was soon trackable by tests.... but traditional "Finnish way" was no more.

Death was 2002 when this Finnish blood dope method was able to to track, but as like 1988/1989, better methods were already rampart.

Why wouldn't they announce that Soderling failed doping test while they did it for Halep that won 2-3 slams?

    Different times?

See Carl Lewis failed doping test 1988 case. Or Agassi's hidden result (which he revealed his his book, that they asked him first how to go with this)

So does this mean we are in the times in which that they reveal failing dope tests now?
Then great, not all of them dope as you said :)

Let me add you are contradicting yourself, on the assumption that Soderling quit because of doping and Agassi had whatever, this means athletes get tested and get confronted when found to be doping and actions are taken.
This translates to the opposite of what you said, and it can't mean by anyways that all of them dope.

If Söderling indeed doped, he interfered in sports in an unthinkable way, stopping Nadal from winning e.g. 9 straight FOs?

You can't really pay back Nadal enough ever again, so best to keep it under the carpet I guess and retire Söderling.

But like most said, I too believe it's all who dope or no one.

Ančić suffered from mono and had to retire, it's plausible that Söderling suffered the same fate.

To be noted: why Nadal's camp has not made any issue. Nadal had 200x Balco connection which was revealed as a "dope lab".

But Nadal camp did not to response any of this because no-one dared to make any further conclusions (my 1st theory : too big to fall). But here I hope my 1st theory is false and whole thing was just a co-incident.

I don't know how I should feel about this. I used to like her, and even if she cleared her name which I doubt she can, I won't be very convinced.

Imagine what they could find on Djoker if they really dug deeper. Dude went from forfeiting every tougher match in bad conditions, to
outlasting 20 year younger dudes in the same conditions. In recent interview, he attributes it to divine intervention - god and guardian angles...mhm

Djokovic is mentally ill and a very stupid man,

He's not mentally ill. That's a pretty extreme claim. He's also most definitely not stupid. He speaks multiple languages, reads books, is well-spoken, has a very high tennis IQ, etc. He's a person who has some very offbeat views. His parents told him he
was special/a God so he's likely an egomaniac.

    but
when it comes to tennis, he is the GOAT.

I'm not sure if he's the GOAT as we didn't see all of these great players play in the same time frame but he's the most accomplished and the best of his era and the greatest of the Big Three for sure.

Of course he uses doping just like everyone else.

Without a shadow of a doubt. That gluten story he pedalled around 2011 after transforming from a player who retired all the time to Superman was a bunch of BS IMO. But, I think all top players take PEDS.

There's nothing that annoys me more than fans of one of the Big Three players throwing stones at the other two rival Big Three players by claiming they're doping while uttering with a straight face that their favorite Big Three Player is a Saint. It's so
completely delusional IMO and is what makes me detest fanatics.

Yes, you are *mentally ill* if you think that "god and

Why wouldn't they announce that Soderling failed doping test while they did it for Halep that won 2-3 slams?
    Different times?

See Carl Lewis failed doping test 1988 case. Or Agassi's hidden result (which he revealed his his book, that they asked him first how to go with this)

    .mikko
Let me add you are contradicting yourself, on the assumption that Soderling quit because of doping and Agassi had whatever, this means athletes get tested and get confronted when found to be doping and actions are taken.
This translates to the opposite of what you said, and it can't mean by anyways that all of them dope.

yes we're meant to believe these days after Lance Armstrong and Maria Sharapova were busted they're hiding others.

You can't really pay back Nadal enough ever again, so best to keep it under the carpet I guess and retire Söderling.

Nadal camp couldn't just accuse Soderling of doping or even Djoker, they'd get sued YUGELY!

    Let's check him in MPOAT?

    #35 Tsonga, 22 pts, 0%
    #40 Stich, 21 pts, 24%

    #40 Tanner, 21 pts, 24%

    #42 Kuerten, 20 pts, 75%
    #42 Thiem, 20 pts, 25%

    https://www.docdroid.net/dWQ2BP0/mpoat-2023-arwu-pdf

So he's still in top 40 of most prominent tennisers in era. Cool.

I thought he was ranked lower.
