  • Medved regrets not adjusting his return position

    The return position is terrible. I think Djok won umpteen to 1 points
    served out wide to the deuce court. The volleys Djok had to made in
    those points were ridiculous too.

    Meds also made two bad mistakes in the TB that gave the minibreak back
    and then the lead to Djok. But that's tennis. Just give the behemoth on
    the ropes a glimmer of hope, and he's like a new behemoth. Amazing, really.

    Still, Djok hit some good volleys.

    Also, I think volleying sitters is harder than it looks (esp. on the FH side). Which is why we have the swinging volley.

    Balls were really super slow, which made passing shots difficult.
    Medvedev took mightly swings to the balls, but they did not go anywhere,
    and Djokovic angled them easily for volley winners.

    he was not ready...celebrating semifinals and 2nd place check, before
    thinking of taking down djoker...
