• The future of nuclear electric power production

This is a simple short article that gives a high-level view of the state
of nuclear energy production in the world.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/30/how-china-became-king-of-new-nuclear-power-how-us-could-catch-up.html

I'm reading this as a tacit recognition that in the mid-term, at least,
there will not be enough green energy sources--and no, fellow sufferers,
I would not consider nuclear as "green" energy--to come close to meeting increased demand for electricity, world wide.

Personally, I think this makes a lot of sense, especially given global
warming mandates we'll have to accommodate in the US (and elsewhere?),
and all we have to do, to chug forward and still retain integrity, is to
admit up front that we're kicking the nuclear waste problem down the
road, for a future generation to solve.

    But yep, that's fine.

Or, we can simply face up to global warming/climate change as a done
deal, and get ready to transition to subterranean Morlocks, a la Wells.
