I hear a lot about Rune, and it is beginning to remind me of what Ali
said about Frazier right after Ali was allowed to fight again after his brouhaha with the draft.
"I keep hearin' 'bout Joe Frazier this, and Joe Frazier that.
"I'n tahred of hearin' 'bout Joe Frazier."
I've seen Rune maybe three times. He is a very good athlete, with decent size, and very good mechanics. I have never seen him in a long match so
I don't know about stamina, but his mobility is good. I'm not sure that
he has as much talent overall as Zverev, but maybe.
What I *did* notice was that in a recent match--maybe the tournament
just before Cinnci--he really contested the first set very hard, very
tough, but lost it.
He them threw in the towel, mentally. Basically played but was no longer
in the match. Lost in straight sets.
I've also watched Sinner--more than Rune--and I've noticed that Sinner--similarly talented--has trouble closing out matches. This could
be stamina, or it might be mental. But one thing for sure: Sinner
appears to stay focused and engaged in the match. No foot-dragging and
moping like Rune that day.
So I see that Sinner's results are not equal to his apparent talent, but cannot pinpoint what, exactly, the problem is, but it does not appear to
be lack of desire or lack of focus.
So Rune has to prove that he can compete strongly even in the face of intermediate disappointment. Else he is something like Kyrgios.

intermediate disappointment. Else he is something like Kyrgios.
both of his wins were two sets to one.

Sinner's whole problem is he has no clue about winning a slam, he needs a slam winning coach to help him. Rune just needs a bit more focus and toughness.

Rune's game is far more reliable and consistent than serve bot Nick.
I never thought Nick would win a slam but am confident Rune will win 3
or more.

Only had 2 bets in my life, for fun.
Rune is a notch better version of Sinner/Ruud.
But as like early Murray, current Tsitsi, maybe Nadal 2010->, he is handicapped because his family interaction?
