Here's how I think of a lot of things...would it have mattered to my
life in any substantive way if I had never even heard about this? If the answer is "no, I don't see how" unless I've already got a tangential interest in it, I usually deep-six it.
Not suggesting that this is satisfactory for everyone, by a long shot.
But it demonstrates the counterpoint to people who read everything and
feel that they need to express an opinion on it, no matter what.
To me, that is indistinguishable from a sort of ego show--the mating cry
of the warbling narcissist.
