    No doubt.
And father-son act would be repulsive after shirt rips etc.

But speaking of Hoad... serious question... Alkie made some WOW touch
volleys in the match - is he better volleyer than Sampras/Mac?
Or perhaps best / to-become-best volleyer of modern players?

It is scary to think, but there is no aspect of the *physical* game that
I'm aware of that he does not have mastery over.

Yes. His only downfall seems to be somewhat *too* creative shot
    selection at times.

No he isn't a better volleyer, but he has amazing deft touch around the
net and on his drop shots. The greatest volleyers lived at the net and
had to make great volleys or they were toast. Carlos' volleying skills
are very different to say Edberg/Roche. Those guys were technically
perfect, hitting angle volley winners Carlos doesn't have. Carlos still
wins points with volleys, but they are more drop volleys and using
surprise rather than technical brilliance. I'm glad Carlos is not just
camping at the baseline and is really mixing it up. We all thought this
was impossible in modern game but really it just takes great players to
emerge and shake things up. Are there any Carlos haters out there?
Almost none from what I've seen. Even Djoker fans really respect the
    kid big time.

I think Tiny used to hate him. While the rest of us where gushing over Alcatraz, he was complaining about the fist pumping and downplaying his
talent. Alcatraz was destined for great things the moment I saw him
play. You just have to be able to recognise talent and potential.

Almost none from what I've seen.  Even Djoker fans really respect the

Djok and Alcatraz seem to have a great relationship too. It's good to
have new faces. We just need more of them. In ten years, after Alcatraz
has won 28 slams, I predict some of us will start yawning and ogling at
    other bandwagons.

I'm just glad Carlos is a walking highlights reel and not a backboard
type. I want to see a guy win a calendar slam one day and he looks the
most obvious bet. Novak had a golden opportunity 2 years ago but nerves
got him in the end. It's best to win calendar slam when you're very
young like Graf and Laver, that's when pressure is lowest as you have a
long career ahead of you. When you're older you realize how much it
means and it's just too much pressure (eg Serena 2015). I'm stunned
Novak came as close as he did. If Carlos wins calendar slam next yr we
can say Novak won't add to his slam tally, will be too old after that.
