    Somebody ought to sponsor a pro tournament, where
    everyone has to use a wood racket. The organizers
    would specify a few models, and the players would
    choose from that list.

    How would that go? Would we see the same faces at
    the top? Invite Borg, Mac, and Laver?

    Then again a bit later/same time Connors/Lendl/Mecir played with racket which was doomed to be bad.

    Borg managed to tune thanks to his staff his rackets beyond specs too.

    ATP Newport is a place for that and they're not doing it. But they should.


    1. It's post Wimbledon and therefore irrelevant as a grass tune up you can do there whatever you like.

    2. It's fitting, it's place of tennis hall of fame, and previously US championshis? So why not do it there.

    Mini-champions tour with retired legends. 8 tournaments with wooden rackets.

    3 hc, 2 clay 1 grass 2 indoor?

    Just to test things out (rackets more than players): then newport/similar 250p event for real pros?
