That's strange. But ok, great for her.

It seems a bit unfair, Ons Jabeur seems to have laboured a lot more, beating some real candidates I mean bigger names, but the draw is what the draw is.

Czech girls are doing great at Wimbledon?

Navratilova, Novotna, Kvitova, now Vondrousova. Anyone else?

Was there a choke involved, like last year's final?

Hana Mandlikova made it to the Wimbledon singles
final twice. Those were in 1981 and 1986, but she
    lost both times.

Whether you consider that as "doing great" is up
to you to decide. She did win the other three Grand
Slam singles and was a Top Ten player, so at least
    generally speaking she was great.

Novotna reached the Wimbledon finals three times. Third time lucky in
her case. Her doubles career was much more successful.

Yep, she can only beat the players on the other side of the court. She
beat the number 12, 20, 32, and 4 seeds along the way.

Was there a choke involved, like last year's final?

Absolutely. An obvious, and classic choke job. She broke to lead 4-2
in 1st set, but lost her serve to love and 5 games in a row, looking
like a scared dear in the headlights the whole match.

Yep, she moved very well on the court, that was the key. A lot of Jabeur
shots looked like winners but she got them all back, nice to see. Also
Jabeur is a classic choker. I could tell she would lose from the fear
    on her face walking out.

She's always had the talent, made FO final at 19 but very nervous v
Barty. Since then she's had lots of in juries, didn't play Wimbledon
