Did you see his post match interview? Hilarious lol : )

He started with the excuse of too many pills etc and the reporters just
ignored him, asked him what he thought about Djoker v Alcaraz. He
thinks anyone is surprised he lost? lol

Papa Tsi needs to step up. This is a fork in son's road. It's either a
two handed BH or more pills, booze, wayward women, and eventually ... crime.

If Tsi leaves RG with that ballgirl's hand in his, it could already be
    too late.

Honestly, I am not surprised by his reaction. For some reason, right away in the beginning of his career, I remember feeling a kind of smugness about him. I felt that that would be a block for his progress.

The best thing he could do now for his career is get a proper coach. Tsitsipas may be smug, but we should enjoy him whilst he lasts. There will never be another one hander in the top 5 again…

Musetti is still 21y and is ranked #18.... maybe? (though he has relatively stalled for a year?).

Musetti isn’t good enough to make top 5. Neither is shapavalov. Wawrinka and Thiem are long past their bests. Double hander is pretty much universal in juniors. That just leaves, Tsitsipas - the last of the one handers. They will make a movie about it
    one day…

Yeah. I like to watch him play. The unpredictability adds to the charm.
He should get Fed to coach him.

Without some major retooling of his game particularly his serve and backhand, and his attitude, I think the windows of him winning a grand slam is just getting smaller and smaller.

I'd say he's a good chance to win 1 maybe 2 FO over his career if he
applies himself. He's a bit like Bruguera, non-factor off clay.

Even on his best surface he has shown a talent for snatching defeat from

He makes for some nice background musetti, though. A good foot soldier.
A good looking guy bleeding to his death in a Caravaggio scene from the battlefield.

Except he is nowhere near as good as Bruguera. Musetti is not a slam champion on any surface. If you want to watch a single hander lift a slam trophy again, Tsitsipas is the only game in town.
Alcaraz won't win every FO like Rafa, so there will be good chances for Musetti imo. Unless he gets lazy and loses interest like eg Gasquet I
think he'll win at least 1 FO.

It’s not just Alcaraz standing in Musetti’s way on clay. Ruud, Rune, Tsitsipas, Zverev, Sinner - all have more chance of lifting an FO in my opinion. Musetti hasn’t even made a masters semi final on clay, has he?

His peak level on clay is right up there though. He beat Djoker in Monte
Carlo a few weeks ago and also led 2 sets to 0 at FO a couple yrs ago,
and beat Alcaraz in Hamburg last year. Of course he'll never be a
threat to peak Alcaraz, but who is? Alcaraz already seems to be playing
boat level tennis already and he's only going to get better. He's the
1st guy I've seen who looks better than 50/50 of winning a calendar
slam, good chance it'll happen in next few years.

Goat level players reach a very high level of skill and are always
accused of killing competition. It's a positive imo, doesn't happen
often. And of course anything can happen on any given day, eg cramps
out of nowhere today, saved mp v Sinner last USO etc. We watch for the
skill level and nothing is 100% certain.
