We are in the mid-second week of French Open and almost no one is interested in talking actual tennis. Zippo talk on women's tennis. And one or two stray threads on men's tennis.

    SAD!

    Hi Raja & gang...

Not watching much tennis these days, since Federer & some other players
    quit. :(

Mainly some random highlights stumbled across at YT. Alcaraz seems to be
in fierce form... Great play against Tsitsi. I assume he faces Djok in
semis because no one picked Alkie vs Djok final here.

Only full match I've watched so far was Leylah's 2nd round match which
she lost to damn Tauson. Tauson seems terrible imo, unattractive game
and looks, perennial ball basher. Pulls of great shots a lot though.
Leylah didn't play badly at all but her serve toss was WAY off... so she
    lost lots of serves.
She's becoming an all-court player nowadays, wondered lots to the net.
Also has learnt to use drop shots better. Still some work to be done
with smashes and serve, although her serve at its best looks quite
good... but recently she has had some toss/yips with it... seems to appear/disappear a lot, even during a match.
She also made some wrong tactical decisions every now and then... I
assume that will improve some once she gets used to her new all-court
    game.

Also watched today second set of Fernandez/Tauson vs. Chan/Chan doubles
QF. Team Leylah won 6-3, 6-3. Next team in the semis is Gauff/Pegula, to
whom team L lost in straights at Miami final this year.

That's about it, tennis wise. Rooting for Alkie on mens', I guess.

AMAZING femme final with IgaS outlasting Muchova; best women's final on clay in - can't think of any off hand... Iga stamping her dominance having racked up her 3rd (2020, 2022, 2023)... I'll be interested to see how many RG titles she will go on to win..

Congrats to both players! It would have been easy for Muchova to fold

Sorry, I know you don't want to hear this and I feel bad that I have to mention it again because I'm all for women and their betterment. But I HATE the current state of women's tennis. There isn't one player that I want to watch. It has to be the worst
WTA lineup that I've ever seen.

I"d rather watch Big Beak's past matches 100 times over than watch any of these current players! That tells you how bad I think it is now! 😂.
