Montreal wrestling legend Jaques Rougeau Sr. passed away on Monday at the
age of 89. The Rougeau family released the following statement:

    Rawdon, July 2, 2019

Official Press Release of the rougeau family

It is with sadness and a lot of sorrow that we announce the death of Mr
Jacques Rougeau, yesterday, on July 1, 2019, at the age of 89 He has been fighting for a while with pulmonary fibrosis, but he is still part gently, surrounded by his family that he loved so much.

This love is also shared with the public, while he has been a professional wrestler for many years. In the company of his brother Jean, he made the
rain and the good weather in the four corners of Quebec, particularly in
the 60 s and 70. S who dont remember his battles with the sheik, Abdullah
the butcher, Hans Schmidt or Maurice Vachon?

He has been part of the Quebec landscape for several years and it was
important for us to share the news with all those who followed him,
appreciated and loved in his public career. He has worn a name that
resonates so much in this middle and mainly in Quebec that these three
sons, Raymond, Jacques and Armand, one of his daughters, Joanne, as well as three of his grandson walked in his steps, working all in The middle of the struggle at one time or another.

But if for you he was a popular wrestler, for us, he was a husband, a
father, a grandfather and a great and esteemed great-grandfather. He was
the quiet force of our family and his departure is and will be very painful.

Media friends and fans of wrestling, we thank you for the love you have
given him over the years and be assured that this feeling was shared.

Former-WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Karl Anderson took to Twitter to warn
people that the handcuffs are off now that he has reunited with his Club brothers AJ Styles & Luke Gallows. The reunion took place on this past
Mondays edition of RAW, when Anderson & Gallows helped Styles beat up WWE United States Champion Ricochet.

The team was last together on WWE TV on July 24th, 2016, where they lost a six-man tag match to John Cena, Enzo Amore & Big Cass.

Seth Rollins Publicly Apologies to Will Ospreay for Recent Comments; "I Can
    & Will Do Better"

    Posted: 02 Jul 2019 11:19 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/seth-rollins-publicly-apologies-to-will-ospreay-for-recent-comments-i-can-will-do-better/

Seth Rollins has apologized for a series of Tweets he recently sent to New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Will Ospreay.

Last week, the Universal Champion and the reigning IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion got into it over social media after the so-called Kingslayer challenged fans to, Find anyone else alive who does what I do as well as I
do it as often as I do it.

Ospreay simply responded with, Im alive.

And thats when things started to break down.

Fans were understandably worked into a frenzy over the exchange, as its not very often two top stars from different promotions especially not two of
the three biggest promotions in the world get to mix it up. While WWE fans largely rushed behind their champ, and NJPW fans started pulling out star ratings and statistics left and right.

Where Rollins got himself into trouble was bringing up his paycheck,
boasting about how much money he makes in comparison to the UK star, and mocking him for his size. He also claimed WWE had a “better version” of Ospreay in Ricochet, who had just won the U.S. Championship from Samoa Joe.

Today Rollins took to Twitter once again, but this time, it was to
    apologize for his controversial remarks.

After a few days to sit on it, I’d like to apologize to @WillOspreay for
the tweet I sent his way about comparing bank accounts. It was dumb of me &
not in line with my values. The moment I pressed the send button I knew it
was trash, but I’m too stubborn for my own good.

    - Seth Rollins (@WWERollins) July 2, 2019

I stand firm in my sentiments that @WWE is the best pro wrestling on the
planet and that I’m the best of the best doing it right now. After a
helluva week of travel, our crew didn’t waver for a second. Top level
humans busting their asses for the love of the game.

    - Seth Rollins (@WWERollins) July 2, 2019

I couldn’t be more proud to be a champion with this company and represent @WWE and the entire industry in the way it deserves. No more garbage
tweets. I can and will be better.

Matt Jackson Lauds Private Party, Teams Set To Face In House of Glory

    Posted: 02 Jul 2019 11:11 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/matt-jackson-lauds-private-party-teams-set-to-face-in-house-of-glory/

Matt Jackson took to Twitter today to praise Mark Quen & Isaiah Kassidy,
better known as Private Party. After the two men had a star making match at Saturdays Fyter Fest, Matt and his brother Nick reportedly offered the team
a contract with All Elite Wrestling.

Matt then announced that he and his brother would be facing Private Party
on August 9th, in a match he said would likely be one of The Young Bucks
    final independent matches.

Literally right when Private Party stepped back through the curtain after
their match at #FyterFest, Nick & I offered them full time contracts. Star making performances like that deserve to be rewarded.

Now we get to wrestle them in their home company, for what could possibly
be our final independent wrestling appearance.

    WWN issued the following

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    July 2nd, 2019

Port Richey, FL- The second WWN Recruitment Camp will take place on August 16th-18th in Port Richey, FL. This will expand on the education and
opportunity of the very successful first WWN Recruitment Camp last April. Interested participants can fill out an application in the WWNLive.com Seminar/Tryout section.

    The Opportunity
Standout participants will receive an invitation to the WWE Performance
Center (PC) for a 3-day WWE tryout! You can be included in one of the semi-annual WWE tryouts, which have seen numerous athletes awarded WWE contracts.

Standout participants will also be awarded an opportunity to sign WWN contracts, which leads to full time bookings in EVOLVE.

Several participants will be selected to be booked on upcoming WWN Family events, including EVOLVE, SHINE, FIP, Style Battle, ACW and other brands.

Stephen Wolf and referee Stephon Smith were selected for full time
positions in EVOLVE from the first WWN Recruitment Camp. They are now going
to perform live on the WWE Network on the EVOLVE 10th Anniversary
Celebration on July 13th. They are also going to get tryouts with WWE. This
is as real as it gets when it comes to opportunity.

    The Education

The WWN Recruitment Camp will feature a variety of coaches and producers
from the WWE Performance Center. The selection of coaches and producers is designed to give each participant a well rounded education on what it takes
to be successful in all aspects of the sports entertainment. Over the
course of three days you will learn from and be scouted by:

at the WWE PC. Heres what the WWN Recruitment Camp will entail:

-Mr. Regal will share his decades of experience. His lecture will include advice on what it takes to get hired by WWE, in-ring techniques and out-of-the-ring etiquette. A simple write up cannot do justice to the
knowledge you will get from Mr. Regal during this extensive seminar.

Zealand and Japan. Coach Jacko gained his reputation as Australias top
trainer and now teaches the beginner classes at the WWE Performance Center. Coach Jacko will show you the in ring drills you need to make it to WWE.

-Sean Hayes is one of the foremost strength and conditioning coaches in the United States. He came to the WWE PC from the Houston Texans. Hayes will
teach techniques for training on the road, as well as how to properly warm
    up for a match.

-Shayna Baszler is the current NXT Womens Champion. The former MMA fighter
is one of the most technically sound wrestlers in the WWE system. Baszler
will show her techniques with an in-ring seminar.

-Eddie Orengo is a top referee at NXT. He will teach the invaluable lessons
of how performers should work with a referee. In addition, Orengo will give special attention to the referee participants. Orengo will teach how to
work with and become a WWE/NXT referee.

-WWE PC Staff will be on hand to conduct promo, character development and social media classes. These are the same people who teach these cant miss lessons at the WWE PC.

and offer advice on numerous other aspects of presenting your character.

-Sal Hamaoui, Matt Sydal and Francisco Ciatso will be there to give
    additional pointers and advice.

-Each participant will get a tryout match, which will be filmed in HD. The tryout matches will air live on the WWNLive Facebook and then go on Club
WWN. This will be exposure. Each participant will be sent the footage of
the tryout matches to use any way they want. These will air live on the
    WWNLive Facebook.

-The WWN Recruitment Camp will close with a pay-per-view type event booked
by Sapolsky. All participants will get a spot on the card. This will build
like a real PPV with promos and angles. This will air on Club WWN and the WWNLive Facebook page. Each participant will be sent the footage of their
spot to use any way they want.

-We will assist you with hotel deals as well as room sharing at your own preference.

-We will provide transportation to and from the airport.

-All of the results will be reported to WWE for potential opportunities
with their 3 day tryout camp and other opportunities.

-There will be many more aspects to this invaluable learning experience!

    Conclusion:

There will be limited spots for the WWN Recruitment Camp. The first WWN Recruitment Camp sold out well ahead of time. Many applicants were turned
away due to it being sold out. Please fill out the application at WWNLive.com to see if you are accepted. This is an opportunity to learn, grow and advance your career!

It was announced this week that Hangman Page and Kip Sabian will be
competing at AEWs Fight For The Fallen, and both men have commented on the match.

Sabian and Hangman are both undefeated in AEW so far, with AEW deciding to
put the two men against each other in Jacksonville later this month
following Hangmans victory at Fyter Fest.

Hangman Page kept his comments about the match fairly simply, stating he is very excited for the match as he put over Kip, stating he is real good.

very excited for this one, kip is real good https://t.co/ZyAy1umZp3

    - HANGMAN PAGE (@theAdamPage) July 1, 2019

Kip Sabian also commented on the announcement, going into slightly more
detail stating that this is the most important match of his career and that getting the win counts. He continued by claiming that if he wins, the title contention is real.

May 25th, first ever singles win in @AEWrestling history.

Yet this is my most important match in my career, against arguably one of
the best of our generation. Where getting the win counts.
