From One List To Another. Injured NXT Star Makes Return To The Ring.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 08:32 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/one-list-another-injured-nxt-star-makes-return-ring/

Welcome back. Wrestling is a dangerous sport and all of the injuries that
can take place in it are all the proof that you need. You never know when
you might see someone get injured with the damage being anywhere from minor
to career threatening. On the other hand though, you can also see someone
come back from an injury better than ever. That may be the case with a
    current NXT star.

According to Sportskeeda.com, Chelsea Green made her return to the ring
over the weekend at an NXT house show in Venice, Florida. Green has been
out of action since March when she broke her wrist during a match, which
she managed to finish. The return match saw Green team with Deonna
Purrazzo in a losing effort against Lacey Lane and Kacy Catanzaro. Green
has yet to debut on NXT TV.

Green has an interesting background in wrestling. Check out some of her
time on Tough Enough with NXT North American Champion the Velveteen Dream: [This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: That’s a good thing to see as Green is someone with some potential down in NXT. She hasn’t had the chance to show what she can do down there
as the injury took place in her biggest match in the promotion. Hopefully
she can find her stride and do well in NXT, as she was quite the hit in
Impact Wrestling. Thankfully the injury was a broken bone, which should be
a pretty clean recovery that shouldn’t change much about her performances.

What have you thought of Green? Can she become a star in NXT? Let us know
    in the comments below.

VIDEO: The Things They Are A Changing. Update On Levels Of Violence In AEW.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 08:30 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/things-changing-update-levels-violence-aew/

It’s a different world out there. Over the weekend, AEW presented its
second event with Fyter Fest. The show was a rather different presentation than Double Or Nothing, with a smaller card and almost an entire focus on actual. However, there were some similarities, including some rather
violent ones. This is all before the weekly AEW shows begin. So how much violence can we expect there?

During Fyter Fest, Cody was attacked by Shawn Spears, who hit Cody in the
head with an unprotected chair shot. This is a kind of attack that has
been banned in WWE. After the show was over, AEW President Tony Khan said
that such a thing will not be happening when the company’s weekly show
debuts on TNT. While such actions are not going to take place on
television, last night’s show was streamed online instead.

There is a lot here. Check out Khan’s post show interview:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that does not need to happen in
wrestling. We have firmly established that these shots to the head are dangerous and seeing another one last night just made me cringe. There are dozens of other ways to do something like this and none of them involve
someone taking an unprotected chair shot to the head. It doesn’t need to happen and no one benefited from the shot. Don’t do this again.

What did you think of the shot? How bad did this look? Let us know in the comments below.

Well Pencil You In. WWE Title Match Set For.Eventually.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 08:24 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/well-pencil-wwe-title-match-set-eventually/

That’s one more for some card. WWE is full of talent and there are several names to help fill out all of the shows that they have. At the same time though, WWE is often viewed as having some underwhelming and repetitive creative, which has caused one set of problems after another. Now though,
we have a new match being announced, but even then it’s going to be a rematch.

According to 411mania.com, the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane)
defeated the IIconics in a match at a WWE Live event in Tokyo over the
weekend. The non-title match guarantees them a future title shot against
the IIconics at a date to be announced later. The IIconics won the titles
at WrestleMania 35 and have only defended them twice since then.

The Warriors could have a chance. Check out one of their earlier matches: [This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world and there is a good chance that they are going to win the titles when they get the chance. It wouldn’t shock me to see the match take place at Extreme Rules on July 14, which is a perfect place to see what they can do. If nothing else, it
might allow the Warriors to do something for a change, as much like the Iiconics, they haven’t had much going on.

Will the Warriors win the titles? When do you think the match will take
place? Let us know in the comments below.

Jumping Ship. Former WWE Personality Appears At Fyter Fest.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 08:19 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/jumping-ship-former-wwe-personality-appears-fyter-fest/

Hello again. Fyter Fest has come and gone and as was the case with Double
Or Nothing, AEW continues to be the talk of the wrestling world. The show
had a variety of controversial moments, both good and bad, with some nice action up and down the card. As it turns out though, there was one little cameo which took place later in the show that you might not have caught.

According to WrestlingInc, former WWE interviewer Dasha Fuentes was
ringside for Fyter Fest as she accompanied ring announcer Justin Roberts to
the ring and seemed to serve as timekeeper. Fuentes can be seen on the broadcast several times, including during the six man tag, though she was
not acknowledged. She appeared for WWE from 2014 until 2019, working as a wrestler in NXT and then a backstage interviewer on the main roster.

It appears that Dasha Fuentes is in the house for AEW #FyterFest. She accompanied Justin Roberts to the ring when he came out before the
    pre-show. pic.twitter.com/W0XIDPpnyh

Fuentes did a lot for WWE. Check out an on site report:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest signing in the world but it is something
that could provide a few benefits at a low risk. Fuentes was released from
WWE due to a mistake during a promo so it’s not like she has a bad track record. Hopefully she can go somewhere with AEW as she was a talented performer in her role, so maybe this can be a nice new start for her.

What did you think of Fuentes? Will she be an asset to AEW? Let us know
    in the comments below.

RUMOR KILLER: One Legend For Another. Ric Flair On What Was Supposed To
    Happen At Double Or Nothing.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 08:14 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/rumor-killer-one-legend-another-ric-flair-supposed-happen-double-nothing/

Not so fast? Over the weekend, AEW presented its second event with Fyter
Fest. The show was both a stand alone show as well as a followup to Double
Or Nothing, which was treated as a much bigger deal. That’s not a bad
thing, as Fyter Fest had a different vibe in general. This includes a lack
of surprise appearances, which brings us to a story about Double Or Nothing.

Ric Flair was recently interviewed by Wrestlinginc.com and was asked about
the rumor of him being the original plan to unveil the World Title. Flair
said that the story was not true and he was never approached about the
spot. The rumor had said Flair was the original choice to unveil the title
but he was forced to be removed due to health issues. Bret Hart unveiled
    the title instead.

It was a nice moment regardless. Check out Hart bringing out the title:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: Fair enough. The idea of Flair being the one to unveil the title
is hardly a stretch so it was a rather easy story to believe. It’s not
like having Hart as the former World Champion was any kind of a
disappointment as he’s more than qualified for the role. If nothing else, the best part about this is Flair being healthy enough to give an interview after his latest health scare.

Did you like Hart’s cameo? Who else could have fit the role? Let us know
    in the comments below.
