New NWA National Heavyweight Champion Crowned at ROH TV Taping

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 07:30 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/new-nwa-national-heavyweight-champion-crowned-at-roh-tv-taping/

There is a new NWA National Heavyweight Champion coming out of Saturday
nights Ring of Honor television taping at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia,
    PA.

The Cowboy James Storm defeated Colt Cabana in a quick match this weekend
to steal the title, after appearing at Friday nights ROH Best in the World pay-per-view, where he sat in on commentary and mixed it up with another
new member of the National Wrestling Alliance (and another former Impact
    World Champion) Eli Drake!

This is an interesting situation as Cabana was just getting started in his reign as National Champion, which was brought back from the dead last
October. The beloved Chicago star won the title from Willie Mack at the Crockett Cup at the end of April, but in recent weeks was taken out of
    action with an injury.

Well I know @nwa isn’t a fan of mine and won’t post this as they do for ALL the others so. AND NEW James Mother F ing Storm pic.twitter.com/1AuaiCqXOP

First Time Ever Tag Team Match Announced for This Weeks WWE Raw

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 06:00 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/first-time-ever-tag-team-match-announced-for-this-weeks-wwe-raw/

The Wild Card rule has struck again!

For the first time ever, two members from The New Day will take on former
NXT Tag Team Champions, The Viking Raiders! As of now, it has not been announced which members of the group will compete, so its totally possible
we could see WWE Champion Kofi Kingston in action; its also possible that
with the new no wrestling during commercials gimmick, itll end up turning
into some kind of six-man tag team match regardless.

For the record, Im not sure why were still talking about the Wild Card rule like there isnt just a never-ended, unfiltered supply of stars swapping
brands each week without rhyme or reason, but thats what WWE is still
    calling it, so

For the FIRST-TIME EVER, #TheNewDay & The #VikingRaiders will collide in
tag team action this Monday on #RAW! https://t.co/Yuaqatv6XX

Medical Update on Cody Rhodes Following Controversial Fyter Fest Chair Shot

    Posted: 30 Jun 2019 05:20 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/medical-update-on-cody-rhodes-following-controversial-fyter-fest-chair-shot/

Cody Rhodes suffered a nasty looking injury at Saturday nights AEW Fyter
Fest event, after taking a controversial, unprotected steel chair shot to
the head. The top of the chair somehow caught on the back of his head,
creating a large gash that caused the American Nightmare to unexpectedly
    bleed quite a bit.

In an update to that situation, All Elite Wrestling has announced that Cody received 12 staples following his match with Darby Allin, and the
post-match angle with Shawn Spears. He was examined, and thankfully
exhibited no signs of suffering a concussion from the chair shot.

Kenny Omega Attacks Jon Moxley in Closing Moments of AEW Fyter Fest

    Posted: 29 Jun 2019 06:30 PM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/kenny-omega-attacks-jon-moxley-in-closing-moments-of-aew-fyter-fest/

    Receipt returned.

The main event of Saturday nights AEW Fyter Fest event in Daytona Beach, FL
was a nasty affair that saw former WWE world champion Jon Moxley defeat the
Bad Boy Joey Janela in a brawl so violent, the company itself refused to sanction it. Well, that was the story anyways

While Moxley was literally tortured with barbed wire, thumbtacks, steel
chairs, ladders, tables and more throughout the battle, it wasnt the match itself that finally ended up taking him down.

After scoring the victory, he was immediately attacked by AEW Executive
Vice President Kenny Omega, who also won his own match earlier in the night when The Elite defeated Pentagon Jr., Rey Fenix and Laredo Kid in an
    exciting, non-stop tag team scuffle.

Omega returned to attack Moxley multiple times, first driving him through a table with a nasty-looking piledriver, before smashing a bass guitar across
his back. Before the night was over, though, the Best Bout Machine came
back one more time to bludgeon Mox with a trash can, before dropping him
with his own finishing move once called the Dirty Deeds, now called the
Death Rider in NJPW and the Paradigm Shift in AEW.

This whole thing goes back to last months AEW Double or Nothing
pay-per-view in Las Vegas, when Moxley shocked the world by invading the
show in its closing moments, attacking Omega and throwing him off the top
of a giant stack of novelty poker chips, actually breaking the stage on
    impact.

Kenny Omega will face Jon Moxley on Saturday, August 31st at AEW ALL OUT.

    Message sent. #FyterFest

Watch Some of the Most Violent Moments from Jon Moxley & Joey Janelas
    Bloody, Unsanctioned Fight

    Posted: 29 Jun 2019 06:00 PM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/the-most-violent-moments-from-jon-moxley-joey-janelas-unsanctioned-fight/

Jon Moxley returned to action for All Elite Wrestling this Saturday night
in Daytona Beach, in something of a return-to-form for the once hardcore
    indie icon.

The former world champion faced off against the Bad Boy Joey Janela in a
match that many fans have been clamoring for ever since Mox announced his departure from WWE earlier this year. In order to push the hardcore
stipulation for the bout, AEW announced that it would be so extreme that management wanted nothing to do with it, instead saving for the end of the night as an lights out, unsanctioned brawl.

You can watch the entire AEW Fyter Fest replay completely free on B/R Live.

Some poor fan literally doesnt have a leg to stand on.

Janela using an actual prosthetic leg is the first weapons spot of the
match! I think Mox is already bleeding somehow. #FyterFest pic.twitter.com/goeAvKcB3G

During this wild and blood match fans saw everything from a legitimate prosthetic leg that emerged from the crowd, to a steel chair tightly
    wrapped in barbed wire

Moxley would ultimately win the violent battle after a wild toss through a
pool of thumbtacks, a bare-footed attack into the tacks, several stomps to
the head, even more thumbtacks, and one last Paradigm Shift (the new move
for his finisher, formerly known as Dirty Deeds).
