Killer Kross Was NOT Killed Off on Impact Wrestling, First Blood at Slammiversary

    Posted: 28 Jun 2019 04:50 PM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/killer-kross-was-not-killed-off-on-impact-wrestling-first-blood-set-for-slammiversary/

    Killer Kross lives!

Last week on Impact Wrestling, tensions between him and Eddie Edwards hit
an all-time high over the course of multiple segments that included ECW
legend The Sandman being waterboarded, and a complete psychotic break that
saw Edwards brutally torture a masochistic Kross, biting his face off and stomping him out.

With Kross girlfriend Scarlett Bordeaux recently receiving her release from
the promotion, the segment obviously led to speculation that he may be following her out the door.

Well, the bad guy lives, and hell be returning to action in less than two
weeks time at Slammiversary, where hell face off against Eddie Edwards in a First Blood Match.

    Impact Wrestling Results

    June 28, 2019

Were back at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, NY this week for the second
to last episode of Impact before the annual Slammiversary PPV.

The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander) def. The Deaners // Alexander got
cut open within the first few minutes of the match. A good back and forth opening match, maybe the best from the Deaners so far.

Rosemary invited Taya Valkyrie into her weird dungeon lair to go over strategy for tonights tag team match. Taya is super creeped out, and
Rosemary makes her promise to uphold her end of the deal. I guess the deal
is, Taya promised her a shot at the title in exchange for protection.

Its officially announced that Killer Kross will return to face Eddie
Edwards at Slammiversary in a First Blood Match, so it looks like Kross
wasnt murdered when he had his face ripped off.

Rosemary & Taya Valkyrie def. Jessicka Havok & Su Yung via DQ // Taya and Rosemary had trouble getting on the same page early on, but it didnt take
long for things to break down between Havok and Su as well. Yung got DQd
after attacking Rosemary with a steel chair, and things turned into an
all-out brawl. More chairs were involved. Thumbtacks everywhere. Yung and
Havok nearly went at it, but James Mitchell managed to keep them from
    killing one another.

Ace Austin is interviewed and blamed his first loss in Impact on TJP
because there was no way to prepare for an opponent who wasnt even in the company. TJP ended up interrupting him and announced a match between the
two for next week, so that Ace will have all the time he needs to get ready.

Eddie Edwards is in a confessional booth. He talks about having lost literally everyone and everything in his life, but he doesnt really care because hes listening to the voice in his head now, and it keeps telling
him to do bad things. Killer Kross shows up, but the two agree not to fight inside a church. Someones going to bleed at Slammiversary.

Sami Callihan def. Fallah Bahh //

The Rascalz def. LAX & Laredo Kid //

Its announced that next week, all three members of The Rascalz will face
off in a friendly triple threat competition. Whoever loses that match will
sit it out at Slammiversary when they face LAX for the tag team titles.

Madison Rayne admitted that her win over Jordynne Grace was tainted by interference from Keira Hogan, and offers her another shot if she wants it. Hogan shows up and trashes the Knockouts division, calling all the women selfish bitches, and the only difference between them is that shes willing
    to admit it.

Impact World Champion Brian Cage came out and called down Michael Elgin.
He said it took him 14 years to finally win the world title and in his
greatest moment, Elgin ruined everything and sent him to the hospital. At Slammiversary hell see Elgin coming, and hell be ready this time. Some guy claiming to be the Impact doctor came out and said that Cage wasnt
medically cleared to compete, so the champ gave him an F5.

Elgin attacked from behind and hit him with the Buckle Bomb and the Elgin
Bomb, but Cage kept getting back up so he hit him with a second Elgin Bomb.
He set up a table on the outside of the ring, and somehow powerbombed the
big man over the top rope, through the table. Wow! At this point Don Callis rushed the ring and screamed at him to stop. Elgin hit him with a spinning backfist, and threatened to powerbomb him, but Cage got up from a
stretcher, ripped a neck brace off, and got back into the ring. The show
    closed with the two brawling.

NWA Announces the Signing of Former Impact World Champion Eli Drake

    Posted: 28 Jun 2019 04:14 PM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/nwa-announces-the-signing-of-former-impact-world-champion-eli-drake/

Let me talk to ya, dummies!

Former Impact World Champion Eli Drake made a surprise appearance at this Friday nights ROH Best in the World pay-per-view, filling in for Colt
Cabana as the tag team partner of NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick
    Aldis.

The two fought valiantly, defending the honor of the National Wrestling Alliance against The Briscoes in a wild brawl that ultimately ended in an unexpected referee stoppage, with Mr. Drake fighting through the crowd and mixing it up with another surprise appearance none other than The Cowboy
    James Storm!

Following the match, the NWA announced the following:

We are proud to announce the signing of this man to the National Wrestling Alliance. ELI DRAKE!

We are proud to announce the signing of this man to the National Wrestling Alliance ELI DRAKE! pic.twitter.com/HwyLgN6vxb

    - NWA (@nwa) June 29, 2019

Drake, 36, has been wrestling for around 17 years and actually worked some
of his very first matches for the NWA Wildside promotion in Georgia. He
spent his early years working with the Heartland promotion in Ohio, and
later for Mach One in California, where he won the NWA Heritage Tag Team Championships twice with Brian Cage.

In 2013 Drake signed a developmental deal with WWE and got as far as being
a jobber to guys like Mason Ryan and Mojo Rawley during dark matches and
NXT Live events, but ended up leaving the company due to issues with former head trainer Bill DeMott.

He finally got his first run on television after signing with Impact
Wrestling in 2015, and was immediately put into a short-lived group with
Drew McIntyre and Tanga Loa. Drake got his first shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship a year after debuting, losing to McIntyre, but won
the TNA King of the Mountain Championship just two days later.

In August 2017, Drake won a 20-man gauntlet match for the vacant Impact Wrestling World Championship to win the title for the very first time. He
would hold the belt through the end of the year scoring victories against
Matt Sydal, Johnny Impact and Alberto el Patron, before dropping it to
    Austin Aries.

In 2018 he won the Impact World Tag Team Championships with Scott Steiner,
and worked a program with various hardcore stars, leading to a Monsters
Ball with Abyss at Impact Homecoming. In early June, Drake announced on
Twitter that he was a free agent.

Nick Aldis Finds a Surprise Tag Team Partner for ROH Best in the World

The battle between Ring of Honors Briscoe Brothers and the National
Wrestling Alliance has been raging for quite awhile now, picking up steam
when the record-setting tag team veterans caused a scene and brutally
assaulted several people at the Crockett Cup earlier this year.

A tag team match pitting The Briscoes against NWA Worlds Heavyweight
Champion Nick Aldis and NWA National Champion Colt Cabana was originally scheduled for tonights ROH Best in the World pay-per-view, but an
unfortunate injury took Boom Boom Cabana out of action, requiring a fill-in
to be named during the pre-show.

We can now officially confirm that Aldis partner for tonights big tag team match will be none other former Impact Wrestling World Champion Eli Drake! Dummy, yeah!

Drake made a surprise visit to the ring during the Best in the World
pre-show, revealing that he is the newest NWA acquisition. The Cowboy James Storm was also involved in the segment, but as of now is not advertised to appear on the PPV.

Ring of Honor: Best in the World

Ring of Honor returns to the UMBC Event Center in Baltimore this evening

    DRAGON LEE vs. DALTON CASTLE

Lee immediately hit a huge shotgun dropkick sending Castle into the corner, then followed up with a series of three consecutive running dropkicks to
the face, scoring an incredibly close early nearfall. He went for a dive
over the ropes to the outside, but Castle caught him out of the air and destroyed his back with a powerbomb on the apron!

Castle spent the next few minutes brutally smashing his opponent into the barricade, over and over again, twice so hard that Lee actually flipped
into the fans in the front row. He returned to the ring to begin applying submissions, slowing things down while also clawing away at the lucha sensations mask. Eventually Lee comes back with a dropkick sending Castle
to the floor, then launched himself through the ropes with a tope suicide headbutt, rocking the former world champion.

The two fought back into the ring and Castle tried to throw strikes, but
Lee caught him with a knee strike into a Reverse Rana for two-and-a-half.
He climbed the ropes looking to put things away, Castle caught him and set
up for the Bang-a-Rang, but Lee spun him around into a Tornado DDT! He hits
the ropes but gets turned inside out by a huge lariat! Another lariat connects. He hits the Bang-a-Rang and covers for the 12 Castle refuses to
    end the match.

He has it won, but instead throws his opponent into the corner hard. He
does a little peacock taunt, runs across the ring and hits a nasty shotgun dropkick to the face. This time he makes the cover for real, and scores the win.

    Winner: Dalton Castle

Falls Count Anywhere Match Set for Monday Night Raw

    Posted: 28 Jun 2019 12:02 PM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/falls-count-anywhere-match-set-for-monday-night-raw/

    Well that escalated quickly

First it was an arm wrestling match. Then it was a good, old fashioned tug-of-war. What delightful sporting contest will the Monster Among Men
Braun Strowman and The Almighty Bobby Lashley engage in next?

HOW ABOUT A FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH!

WWE has officially confirmed that the two super heavyweight juggernauts
will compete in a Falls Count Anywhere brawl this upcoming Monday night on Raw.

One would think that the curiously hardcore stipulation would play itself
out at the aptly named Extreme Rules pay-per-view on July 14th, but with
two weeks left before the show, perhaps WWE has even bigger plans for
Strowman and Lashley at the annual event.

You know, like a Light Tube, Barbed Wire Hell in a Cell on the Moon Death Match, maybe. Or a game of checkers.
