Another Potential WWE Star Being Squandered. Backstage News On Why EC3
Might Have Been Depushed.

It wasn’t his fault. There has been a lot of turnover in WWE as of late, with names coming and going from the main roster at a rapid pace. Some of these things might seem to be more important than others, though some are downright confusing. As it turns out, one of the names that has been
moving around might not be having as much of a push as others for a reason.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, EC3 is being
punished for the lack of a crowd reaction to his matches with Dean Ambrose
(Jon Moxley) before Ambrose left WWE. The two traded wins back in February
and EC3 has not won a match on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live since.
Moxley suggested that this was the case during his recent appearance on
Talk Is Jericho.

Opinion: I really hope this isn’t the case. After all of the bad reactions that so many other things have had, they decide to take EC3’s chance away because one of their multiple bad ideas failed? EC3 has almost everything
that you could want in a prospect but because a short match he had against someone not sticking around didn’t go over well, he’s banished to Main Event? If that’s the case, egads.

(VIDEO): Ric Flair Cuts A Promo On His Illness And Makes A Vague Threat

That’s so good to hear. There are very few legends in wrestling on par
with Ric Flair. He has long since been established as one of the greatest
of all time and WWE makes sure you know about his greatness at any chance
they can. However, a lot of recent news about Flair hasn’t been the best
as he has been undergoing some health issues. Since it’s Flair though, he’s back and has something to say.

Only Flair could pull this off. Check out Flair’s crazed promo about being back:

Flair has released a video on his health in the form of an old school
promo, talking about how he was in the hospital with a tube down his throat
for four days. He calls the whole thing a $1.8 million tune up and lists
off his friends who were reaching out to him while he was in the hospital, including Steve Austin, Triple H, Hulk Hogan and Charles Barkley among
others. Flair also mentions that he knows who doesn’t reach out of him.
He wraps it up by saying that he is never going to grow up because he wants
to be himself.

Opinion: This man is insane. I don’t know how else to say it but Flair
seems to be completely insane a lot of the time. The guy just will not
stay down and while I’ve never been a huge fan, there is something to be
said about seeing him getting back up and fighting every single time.
Flair is one of a kind and it’s great to see him hanging in there even longer.

(WATCH): This Might Be WWEs Next Big Storyline

Here she comes again. The WWE television ratings and audience are not at
their strongest right now. There are several reasons for this to be the
case, but a lot of it has to do with the lack of star power. A lot of the people being showcased on their television shows are not seen as big names
and that isn’t something that can be solved overnight. It can however be remedied.

WWE has posted a new video showing Stephanie McMahon angry over Brock
Lesnar and Paul Heyman’s actions this week on Monday Night Raw. Lesnar and Heyman seemed ready to cash in the Money In The Bank briefcase but Lesnar
was informed that he had a year to make his decision. Lesnar then left
without making a decision, in addition to holding the briefcase like a boom box. McMahon has called this disrespectful and promises to take action
against the two of them. There is no word on if McMahon will be appearing
on television this week.

Opinion: Ignoring all of the plot holes in this video (various wrestlers customizing briefcases, WWE producing a Brock Party shirt featuring the
boom box, Lesnar and Heyman not breaking any rules etc), there is the likelihood that this is going to lead to more McMahons on television. In
case you weren’t getting enough Shane McMahon in there, you might be
getting just a bit more not. I’m not sure who we’re supposed to cheer for in this story, but I have a feeling the McMahons will let us know.

Nice To See You. WWE Announces A Legend Making Their SmackDown Debut.

There’s a first time for everything. Next week, WWE will be presenting
their third event in Saudi Arabia. These shows have not been the most
popular among regular wrestling fans but at the same time, the card
features some major matches that have never been seen before. That is the
case again with Super ShowDown and there will be some first time hype for
it next week.

WWE has announced that Goldberg will be making his first ever appearance on SmackDown Live this coming Tuesday to talk about his upcoming match with Undertaker at Super ShowDown. Goldberg has never appeared on the show
before as all of his appearances in the company have come on Monday Night
Raw. This comes after Undertaker was announced as appearing on next week’s Monday Night Raw. There is no word on if Goldberg will be appearing again after Super ShowDown.

Opinion: That’s quite the cool moment as Goldberg still feels like a major star in wrestling. Having him make his SmackDown Live debut is something
that is going to be a special deal. Goldberg is a star in wrestling and someone who can draw in some extra fans, which should at least help things
out a bit. If nothing else, Goldberg vs. Undertaker is going to feel like
a huge match, which is exactly the point.

Here He Comes Again. Injured WWE Superstar Cleared To Return To The Ring.

Welcome back. One of the true wildcards in wrestling is the injury. You
never know when one is going to strike and that can change plans in a
hurry, often in a very bad way. If someone goes onto the injured list, it
can mess up a lot of things for a lot of people. It’s even worse for a tag team, though in this case, the injured member of the team is now ready to
get back in the ring.

According to Post Wrestling, Akam is cleared to return to the ring and
should be back soon. Akam has been out of action with a knee injury since
the beginning of the year, with his most recent match taking place on the January 4 Monday Night Raw house show. His AOP partner has Rezar has been wrestling the occasional singles match in his absence. There is no word on what Akam will be back.

Opinion: That’s quite the good news, though having the Viking Raiders on Monday Night Raw might take away some of AOP’s impact. That being said, SmackDown Live could use a power team like them so there are different
options for them. They’re the kind of a team who can work a good power
match so this is certainly some good news for both of the tag team
divisions.

Whos On First? Jon Moxleys First AEW Opponent Revealed.

You have to start somewhere. The big moment at the end of Double Or
Nothing was the debut of Jon Moxley, who has become one of the biggest
names in the company by definition. Moxley is someone who can become a top star in a hurry and it is clear that there are plans for him as he attacked both Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho to end the show. Now we know his first match.

As announced on All Elite Wrestlings website, Moxley’s first official match for the company will take place at Fyter Fest when he faces Joey Janela.
The event will take place on June 29 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Moxley appeared at Double Or Nothing in a post main event surprise while Janela participated in the Casino Battle Royal on the pre-show. Moxley’s most recent match was on April 21 at the Shield’s Final Chapter.

Opinion: this works as well as anything else as Moxley has to debut against someone and Janela is a pretty strong name. Both guys can be established
from this match and hopefully both of them benefit well enough. Janela is someone who has had success almost everywhere he has been and Moxley is a
top level star from his time in WWE. This is a smart match and hopefully it’s also a good one.
