Its A Defensive Issue. Heres What Started The Heat Between Matt Riddle And Goldberg.

    Posted: 16 Jun 2019 08:22 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/defensive-issue-heres-started-heat-matt-riddle-goldberg/

That’s an explanation. You never can tell when a wrestling feud is staged and when there is something actually going on. I know it seems fine on
paper most of the time, but sometimes there are feuds that take things a
little more seriously. Other times, the heat between the wrestlers doesn’t even play out in a match, which can be very interesting in its own right.
That seems to be the case this time and now we know why.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, the heat between Goldberg and Matt Riddle stems from Riddle not liking Goldberg’s technique when using mixed martial arts style offense in professional wrestling
matches. Riddle considers Goldberg’s work sloppy in that area and called Goldberg out as a way of defending mixed martial arts. During and after Goldbergs match against Undertaker at Super ShowDown, Riddle mocked
Goldbergs technique and abilities in the ring. There is no word on any potential match between the two.

That makes more sense. Check out some of Riddle’s comments:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I’ll certainly give Riddle credit for defending what he loves, though it might not have been the best way of presenting his issues.
Goldberg is a veteran who has drawn a lot of money in wrestling while
Riddle is still a rookie on the big stage. I can understand Riddle’s
issues with what Goldberg does, but he might have been better off by not bringing them up.

What did you think of Riddle’s comments? Should he have brought them up in public? Let us know in the comments below.

(WATCH): Lucha Bros vs. Young Bucks In A Double Or Nothing Rematch.

    Posted: 16 Jun 2019 08:12 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/watch-lucha-bros-vs-young-bucks-double-nothing-rematch/

It worked before. The Double Or Nothing card was one of the better in
recent wrestling history. Everyone was working as hard as they could to
tear the house down and there wasn’t a bad match on the card. Some of the matches were better than others though and that made for a heck of a night
of wrestling. Less than a month later though, a rematch has taken place
    and something has changed.

On Sunday at AAA’s Verano de Escalando, the Lucha Bros defeated the Young Bucks to regain the AAA Tag Team Titles. The Bucks had defeated the Bros
for the titles earlier this year and successfully defended them in a
rematch at Double Or Nothing. Both teams are signed to exclusive contracts with AEW, though the deal only applies to appearances in the United States.

They did it in style. Check out how the Lucha Bros got the titles back:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world and there’s nothing wrong with that. Considering their first match took place after the Lucha
Bros had already wrestled once that night, it makes more sense to have this basically even the series. You could do another match if necessary and
that would be quite good as well. The teams have chemistry together and hopefully we get to see them together again one day.

Which of these teams is better? Who will be the first AEW Tag Team
Champions? Let us know in the comments below.

(VIDEO): Thats A Surprise. Jon Moxley Answers Open Challenge And Faces Big Cass With Enzo Amore.

    Posted: 16 Jun 2019 07:00 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/video-jon-moxley-answers-open-challenge-faces-big-cass-enzo-amore/

Now this is a random one. While WWE is the undisputed king of professional wrestling, there is a completely different world of wrestling outside of
its walls. This is the world of independent wrestling, where you never
know what you’re going to get. There are a lot of ex WWE names on independent shows and over the weekend, one of the biggest names in
wrestling today took on a pretty unique opponent.

That’s quite the way to answer. Check out Moxley coming out for an open challenge:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Earlier this week, Jon Moxley answered an open challenge from CazXL (better known as Big Cass) and nZo (better known as Enzo Amore) at the Northeast Wrestling Six Flags Great Adventure show in Jackson New Jersey. Moxley was
a surprise on the show and went on to defeat CazXL in the match, along with hitting Dirty Deeds on nZo as a bonus. This was their first singles match against each other.

And that’s how you finish it. Check out Moxley laying out both guys:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you can only get in independent wrestling and that’s a great thing. Just watch the fans go nuts when they see Moxley come into the arena. It’s a cool moment and the kind of thing
you don’t get to see in a major show. Throwing in a surprise like that is going to make the fans want to come back and for an independent company, that’s hard to accomplish.

How great is Moxley at the moment? Who do you want to see him face? Let
us know in the comments below.

So Long. Former WWE Wrestler Wrestles Retirement Match.

    Posted: 16 Jun 2019 06:56 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/long-former-wwe-wrestler-wrestles-retirement-match/

It’s time to hang it up. A wrestling retirement is a strange thing. No matter who you are, at some point you have to finish your career and
wrestle your last match. Sometimes you don’t know when it’s coming and other times you get to plan it out in advance, but it’s going to happen someday. For a former WWE wrestler, it was the latter of the two choices
and that came earlier this week.

Adam Rose wrestled his retirement match on Friday night at a the Star
Spangled Slammer Atomic Wrestling event in Cocoa, Florida. Rose was
defeated by Bull Dempsey in the match when Dempsey made him tap out.
Counting his time in developmental, Rose wrestled in WWE from 2010-2016
with his most well known run being his time as the life of the party
character, which debuted on the main roster in 2014.

at @WrestlingAtomic tonight. Great match by both guys. #thankyouadam pic.twitter.com/6X84uoe3Tp

Get the party started. Check out one of Rose’s rather awesome parties:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I wasn’t the biggest Rose fan (though a lot of his failures were
on WWE instead of him) but it’s cool to see someone get to leave on their
own terms. Rose was in developmental forever and it was good to see him finally get a chance to show what he could do on the main roster.
Hopefully he’s happy in retirement and gets to do what he wants, wherever
    he wants to do it.

What did you think of Rose? How much better count the party character have been? Let us know in the comments below.

In His Own Words. CM Punk Has A Good Laugh At Fans Who Think Hes AEW Bound.

    Posted: 16 Jun 2019 05:13 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/words-cm-punk-good-laugh-fans-think-hes-aew-bound/

Well, he did answer. Ever since the announcement of AEW, the one major
name on a lot of fans’ minds has been CM Punk. While Punk has not wrestled since 2014, fans have talked about the possibility of him returning to the
ring for AEW as one of their top stars. Punk has responded so some of the fans’ comments on Twitter and that is the case again this time, in a more amusing way.

Earlier this week, Punk was asked on Twitter about whether he would appear
at All Out on August 31. The event will be held in Punk’s hometown of Chicago and a fan got in on the sarcasm by asking if Punk would disappoint
his fans by not showing up. Punk replied with a simple “yes”, followed by responding to some more tweets about returning to the ring and his attitude towards wrestling now that he is retired.

    Yes. https://t.co/GQxNG2YqlO

    - CM Puck? (@CMPunk) June 13, 2019

Wrong. Not resentful at all. Appreciative of everything that’s happened on
my journey. We are all fleeting things. Enjoy it.

    - CM Puck? (@CMPunk) June 13, 2019

No. If you set out for revenge, dig two graves. I’ve evolved and moved on. Long ago.

    - CM Puck? (@CMPunk) June 13, 2019

Punk has certainly been around. Check out another dream confrontation from back in the day:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I don’t think Punk is going to show up in AEW, but it would be
quite the get if he did. Punk is one of the great what if’s left in wrestling and AEW managing to get him to appear, even if it is just for a single match, would make them look like an even bigger deal. Having him
show up is a different story though, and while I can’t imagine it
happening, it’s certainly fun to think about.

Do you think Punk will ever wrestle again? Do you want him to? Let us
    know in the comments below.

Thats A Surprise.Maybe? Report: The Number Of WWE Stars Who Have Talked To
    AEW "Would Blow Your Mind."

    Posted: 16 Jun 2019 05:10 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/thats-surprise-maybe-report-number-wwe-stars-talked-aew-blow-mind/

I’m almost worried about the actual number. The wrestling landscape has changed dramatically in the last few months, with the emergence of AEW
offering a legitimate alternative for several wrestlers. That has caused
WWE to be faced with competition for the first time in a long time. With
that comes some choices for the WWE roster and as it turns out, some of
    them are interested.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, a high amount of
people on the WWE roster have contacted AEW, to the point where it would “blow your mind”. WWE is offering quite a bit of money to keep the talent but some of them are turning it down. Names such as Dustin Rhodes and
Shawn Spears have left, though others have re-signed, such as the Usos and
    Mike and Maria Kanellis.

This is the kind of thing they seem to want to do. Check out Cody’s
symbolic attack on WWE from Double Or Nothing:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I can’t say I’m entirely surprised by this as there are so many people on the WWE roster that they can’t possibly accommodate everyone.
What matters most though is who wants out. There are some people in WWE
who aren’t likely to become major stars elsewhere, though there are some hidden gems in there as well. This could get interesting in a hurry, and
that has not been the case for a long time now.

Who do you think wants out of WWE? Who will actually wind up in AEW? Let
us know in the comments below.
