Not Happening. Big WWE Name Slams Door On Going To AEW Or Returning To The Ring.

That’s quite the turnaround. Batista is certainly a big name in WWE, but he’s becoming a bigger name in Hollywood as well. After playing Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is moving on to some
different kinds of roles going forward. Earlier this year he got back in
the ring for one more match, but would he get in the ring again for one
    more one more match?

Batista was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet and discussed his retirement from wrestling. He made it very clear that he was done with
having matches, though he would be open to returning to the company in
another role, such as being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Batista also
made it clear that he would not go and work for another wrestling company, including AEW.

He has more to say about it than just that. Check out the full interview
    here:

Opinion: I can’t say I blame Batista for not wanting to wrestle again. Factoring in his age (50) and the way the match was received, maybe he just does not want to do it again. He has a legitimate career in Hollywood at
the moment and maybe he doesn’t want to have to deal with the street of another match. His career more than speaks for itself and he’s guaranteed
a Hall of Fame spot. There’s nothing wrong with wrapping it up on your own terms.

What did you think of Batista’s career? When will he be inducted into the Hall of Fame? Let us know in the comments below.

Was Once Enough? Update On Blood And Swearing In AEW.

    Posted: 15 Jun 2019 11:36 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/enough-update-blood-swearing-aew/

You have to draw the line somewhere. Whether you’re a fan of AEW or not,
it is hard to argue that Double Or Nothing worked quite well. The show
seemed to draw a nice audience and the show received a fair bit of praise
from most critics. However, there is more to AEW than one pay per view,
which means things that worked there might not work out as well in the
future. That is something that one of their stars has addressed.

According to Fightful.com by way of Ringsidenews.com, Jimmy Havoc has said
that AEW will have less blood and swearing going forward. This comes after Dustin Rhodes’ heavy amount of blood loss at Double Or Nothing. There is
no word on whether or not bleeding will be banned, or if this will be the
case on both pay per views or the upcoming television show on TNT.

Havoc loves to fight. Check him out in Monster’s Ball in Impact Wrestling: [This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: You had to know something like this was coming. The Rhodes blade
job at Double Or Nothing may have been entertaining, but it’s not going to fly on national television. I’m not sure if this rule is going to apply
for pay per view, but a network like TNT is not going to let something that gory air when the show is being presented as a sport. I get why fans want
to see it, though that doesn’t mean it’s in a place where it should be seen.

Do you want more blood and violence? Will it take place on pay per view?

The Roster Grows Again. Two WWE Stars Back On The Road After An Absence.

    Posted: 15 Jun 2019 11:26 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/roster-grows-two-wwe-stars-back-road-absence/

Welcome back. You never know what kind of things might happen in wrestling
to take someone off television. There might be an injury, there might be a storyline issue or it might be a personal matter that keeps talent out of
the ring. Unfortunately it was the latter recently that took two big WWE
stars off the road, but that hiatus already seems to be coming to an end.

According to Ringsidenews.com, Andrade and Charlotte are back on the road
after a brief absence to deal with the death of Andrade’s mother, who
passed away on June 7. The two missed this week’s SmackDown Live but Charlotte is scheduled for the live event in Denver on Saturday night and
both are scheduled for the Sunday night show in Salt Lake City. Only
Charlotte is scheduled for Tuesday’s SmackDown Live and it is not clear
when Andrade will be back on television.

Andrade was ready to go before the bad news broke. Check him out before
    Super ShowDown:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This is one of those situations where all that matters is how long Andrade needed to be away from the ring. If he is ready to come back
already then fine, and if he isn’t ready to come back yet, that’s fine
too. The whole thing happened less than eight days ago and that isn’t the kind of tragedy you just get over in such a short amount of time. It’s
nice that WWE let Charlotte be with him as he probably needed all the
    support that he could get.

What is next for Charlotte? When will Andrade win his first title? Let us know in the comments below.

They Keep Expanding. Interesting Note On Upcoming AEW Fyter Fest Event.

    Posted: 15 Jun 2019 11:08 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/keep-expanding-interesting-note-upcoming-aew-fyter-fest-event/

They’re trying to be a global company. AEW has hit the ground running like almost no one else in professional wrestling. Their debut event Double Or Nothing was a smash hit and now their second pay per view, All Out, has
sold out in about fifteen minutes. There are other shows in between those
two major events though and we now have an update on one of them.

On Saturday, FiteTV announced that Fyter Fest would be available outside
the United States. This comes after the B/R Live App announced that they
would be airing the event in the United States for free. Double Or Nothing
had previously aired on FiteTV outside the United States with both
traditional pay per view and B/R Live airing the show in the United
States. There is no word on how future shows will be aired.

?UPDATE?#FyterFest WILL be available on #FITETV for fans OUTSIDE the United States!??

??United States fans can watch on @brlive

??Stay tuned for further information regarding, this massive event from @AEWrestling !

    ?June 29

?? Who else is excited for this? pic.twitter.com/z39qCMZ876

There’s already a nice card announced. Check out one of the biggest
    matches on the show:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: That’s quite the good idea as the most important thing for a promotion this young is to make the product available for as many people as possible. Yeah the first show had a lot of hype, but it also cost $50 in
the United States. Offering the follow up at a much cheaper price is a
good idea and if they do something similar going forward, they could be in
for some positive results in the future.

Do you like this plan? Will you be watching Fyter Fest? Let us know in

Theyre Off The List. Two WWE Stars Re-Sign With The Company.

    Posted: 15 Jun 2019 10:38 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/theyre-off-list-two-wwe-stars-re-sign-company/

Glad to see you’re sticking around. One of the more interesting things
over the course of the year has been all of the wrestlers trying to get out
of WWE. While the company is the ultimate goal for a lot of talent, that doesn’t seem to be the case for everyone at the moment. Some people have managed to get out, but some of them are staying, with a few getting big contracts.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Mike and Maria Kanellis have re-signed
with WWE to five year contracts. Last month, Maria mentioned that their
then current deals expired in three weeks and suggested that they might be leaving. The new deals come at the end of the two year contracts the pair signed when they came to WWE in the first place. Both currently perform on
    205 Live.

Mike has an upside. Check out his awesome No DQ match against Akira Tozawa from last month:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I’m assuming this is designed to keep the two of them away from
AEW, but at the same time it’s not like they’re doing anything in WWE. That’s part of the problem with WWE: the roster is so big and bloated that
a lot of people don’t have time to be on television whatsoever. It doesn’t seem like WWE is interested in pushing either of them, yet they’re going to be around for a long time anyway. Is that really the best idea?

Do you want to see the Kanellises in WWE? How big of an impact could they
make in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
