Hello And Hello Again. Two Interesting Dark Matches Take Place At
    SmackDown Live.

    Posted: 28 May 2019 10:49 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/hello-hello-two-interesting-dark-matches-take-place-smackdown-live/

Start well and end well. The last few months have not been kind to WWE at
the moment and things don’t seem to be getting much better. The creative direction of the company has been all over the place, but the wrestling
itself has been going fairly well. That makes something like a dark match
a little easier to watch, which is where WWE might be able to have some success.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, there were two dark matches at this week’s SmackDown Live taping with one taking place before the show and another
taking place after 205 Live went off the air. Before the show, Ali
defeated Buddy Murphy in Murphy’s first match at a SmackDown taping since being moved up to the show from 205 Live. After the show was over, Bayley successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Title against Charlotte.
Bayley had already defeated Lacey Evans earlier in the night.

She worked hard tonight. Check out Bayley’s first match from SmackDown
    Live:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: It’s interesting that things are being changed around a bit with these dark matches. The World Title is rarely defended after the show
anymore, which either says a lot about the women’s division or very little about the World Title situation. On the other hand, I’m still not sure
what the point was in bringing Murphy up if they won’t just put him on television already. WWE has a bad tendency with this and it doesn’t seem
    to be getting any better.

Which of these matches interest you more? When will Murphy debut? Let us
    know in the comments below.

I Dont Know What To Say. Big E. Makes A Bizarre Request For Firefly Fun HouseAnd Bray Wyatt Agrees.

    Posted: 28 May 2019 10:39 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/dont-know-say-big-e-makes-bizarre-request-firefly-fun-house-bray-wyatt-agrees/

Yowie….WHAT? The Firefly Fun House is one of the more intriguing things
that WWE has produced in a good while. Bray Wyatt’s delivery has been unmatched and the segments have become a highlight of the shows. While
we’re still waiting on Wyatt to make his in-ring return, it turns out that some wrestlers are fans of a few of the characters and….the rest needs to
    be seen to be appreciated.

On Tuesday, Wyatt continued his apologies to various names on the WWE
roster, this time apologizing to the New Day for his issues with the team
over the years. However, Big E. responded this time around, seemingly accepting the apology but also making a request. Big E. said that he
wanted to see a sex scandal between the Abby the Witch and Mercy the
Buzzard on the next episode. Wyatt responded, saying that Big E. wanted to have a slumber party at the Fun House, which they could make happen.

@XavierWoodsPhD @WWEBigE @TrueKofi I forgive you guys for attempting to vandalize my home and making fun of me and my brothers.

I can be a real jerk sometimes ?
I’m sorry!! Can you forgive me?

Also Kofi is a great champ!

    - Bray Wyatt (@WWEBrayWyatt) May 29, 2019

    Bless you, friend.

P.S. I’d like to see a sex scandal involving the witch and the buzzard next episode.

    - Florida Man (@WWEBigE) May 29, 2019

    Yikes!!

Are you saying you wanna have a slumber party at the FunHouse???

Say no more let’s do it!!!!! pic.twitter.com/9bmnBNaPHq

    - Bray Wyatt (@WWEBrayWyatt) May 29, 2019

These two certainly have a history. Check out the New Day going to the
    Wyatt Family compound:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: Iwhat do you even say to that? I’m not sure which is the more interesting part here: Big E.’s suggestion or Wyatt seemingly accepting the offer. You don’t see these kind of things from wrestlers very often and there is a good chance that WWE would shut down such discussions because it would be considered going too far or something like that. As it is, it’s a funny exchange and that’s better than a lot of what WWE is doing at the moment.

Which of these two is funnier? What do you want to see Wyatt do when he
gets back in the ring? Let us know in the comments below.

A Special One. New Match Scheduled For Super ShowDown.

    Posted: 28 May 2019 10:22 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/special-one-new-match-scheduled-super-showdown/

You need some special attractions. We’re about a week and a half away from the next Saudi Arabian show with Super ShowDown. These shows are rather controversial due to a variety of international issues, but those reasons
have never stopped WWE from promoting a big card with some special
attractions. One such match was added to the card on this week’s TV.

This week on SmackDown Live, a handicap match between Lars Sullivan and the Lucha House Party was announced for Super ShowDown. The two sides have
been feuding in recent weeks with Sullivan attacking the team and the three
of them ganging up on him to have a fighting chance. This will be
Sullivan’s official in-ring debut on the main roster after he first
    appeared in early April.

Sullivan smash? Check out some of the build that went into the match:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: They have to get Sullivan in the ring at some point and that’s
what they’ve done here. Sullivan will likely destroy the Lucha House Party and then move on to something more substantial. It can make him look good
and it’s not like the House Party is going to be destroyed by one loss to a monster. Sullivan has some serious potential and under the right circumstances, he could be a heck of a monster.

How do you see this match going? Who will Sullivan face next? Let us know
    in the comments below.

Thats A Big One. WWE Confirms A Major Legend Appearing On Monday Night Raw.

    Posted: 28 May 2019 07:26 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/thats-big-one-wwe-confirms-major-legend-appearing-monday-night-raw/

The legend walks among us. Monday Night Raw is not in the best of places
at the moment, with all kinds of problems plaguing it at once. What it all boils down to though is the fans just are not interested in what WWE is presenting to them. WWE has tried a few ways to make the fans care, and
now they are going to use one of the few big weapons they have left.

WWE has announced that the Undertaker will be appearing on next week’s
Monday Night Raw. This will be Undertaker’s first appearance since the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 35 last month. Undertaker is scheduled
to face Goldberg at next week’s Super ShowDown and the appearance will be used to hype up the match, which has yet to receive anything more than a mention in an ad for the show.

The Phenom will return to #Raw NEXT WEEK. #SDLive #undertaker pic.twitter.com/rvVGiPoaXy

    - WWE Network (@WWENetwork) May 29, 2019

He hasn’t been gone that long. Check out Undertaker’s most recent appearance:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: That’s quite the move for WWE and something that seems to be a
long time overdue. Goldberg vs. Undertaker isn’t the kind of match that needs a lot of hype though and having Undertaker face the myth of Goldberg
is a better way to go than to have Goldberg show up and say YOU’RE NEXT again. It’s not like there is any reason for them to hate each other so something like this is as good of an idea as they have.

Are you interested in the match? Who do you think will win? Let us know

Really? A Surprising Name Has Turned Down An Offer From AEW.

    Posted: 28 May 2019 05:56 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/really-surprising-name-turned-offer-aew/

They can’t have everyone. Over the weekend, AEW jumped into the wrestling world with a huge splash called Double Or Nothing. Wrestling fans and wrestlers as well have been talking about the event and that changes all
kinds of things in the wrestling industry. There are a variety of
wrestlers coming into the company, but it turns out that AEW isn’t the
    right place for everyone.

According to SoCal Uncensored, Joey Ryan has turned down an offer to work
for AEW. Ryan has a history with the group running the promotion,
including appearing on Being The Elite and making an appearance at last year’s All In event. There is a slight chance that Ryan could be signing with WWE, who may have offered him a chance to work for the company in an attempt to keep him from AEW. Ryan is scheduled to make an announcement on
his wrestling future on Thursday May 30 at a Bar Wrestling event.

This Thursday, May 30th in SoCal, Joey Ryan will announce his future plans, contract status and the future of #BarWrestling.

The All In appearance is a little questionable so we’ll go with something else. Check out Ryan in Lucha Underground:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This is quite the surprise as Ryan seems to be the perfect fit for AEW. I’d be surprised if he actually winds up in WWE as he’s the least appropriate fit for the company ever. I’m surprised that he turned down
the offer, but Ryan is said to be a very successful independent wrestler so maybe he wants to just be his own boss and go wherever he wants. If that’s something he can do, good for him as he certainly doesn’t need to sign with
a big company if he can pull that off.

Are you surprised Ryan didn’t sign? Where do you think he will wind up?

(WATCH): Bray Wyatt Shows Off His Split Personality In The Firefly Fun House

    Posted: 28 May 2019 05:52 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/video-bray-wyatt-shows-off-split-personality-firefly-fun-house/

The monster can dance. Bray Wyatt has become one of the most interesting things about Monday Night Raw in recent weeks. With his rather insane
antics in the Firefly Fun House, Wyatt has gone from just creepy at times
to downright disturbing, with things getting weirder and weirder by the
week. That was the case again with this week’s edition, as Wyatt’s antics continued.

WWE has posted the latest edition of the Firefly Fun House, featuring Wyatt talking about his alter ego, which he refers to as The Fiend. Abby called
him out on his past and Wyatt turned the entire thing into a limbo
competition with a bit of a surprise ending. Wyatt has yet to return to
the ring since beginning the Firefly Fun House and there is no word on when
    he will be wrestling again.

This one is a little weird in a variety of ways. Check out the latest Fun House:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This is one of those things that is just….weird. I’m not sure what to make of Wyatt at the moment, though I’m curious to see how this
goes when he gets in the ring. Wyatt can work a perfectly fine match and
maybe he’ll have a split personality between the ring and backstage. This
is a new character for him and that was exactly what he has been needing
for a long time now. Hopefully it lives up to the potential.

What do you think of the latest episode? When will Wyatt get back in the
ring? Let us know in the comments below.

(WATCH): Real Life WWE Couple Share A Moment After Last Nights Monday Night
    Raw

    Posted: 28 May 2019 05:47 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/watch-real-life-wwe-couple-share-moment-last-nights-monday-night-raw/

Wink wink nudge nudge. Relationships in wrestling are a hard thing to pull off. With everyone going all over the place and so many things to deal
with, having a personal life isn’t the easiest thing in the world. It can help if the person you’re with happens to be a wrestler as well, which is
the case with a certain top two stars in WWE at the moment. The fans got a quick glimpse of that this week.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch ran into each
other on the ramp after last night’s Monday Night Raw went off the air. Rollins was heading to the back after his main event match while Lynch was coming to the ring to defend the Raw Women’s Title in the post show dark match. Their relationship has been made public online in recent weeks.
Lynch successfully defended the title against Lacey Evans with the
    Disarm-Her.

You can feel the love. Check out Rollins and Lynch’s stare, with Rollins’ subtle nod to the camera as a bonus:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: That’s the kind of thing you can get away with in small doses and there’s nothing wrong with that. It wasn’t taking place on the actual show and there is a good chance that a lot of the fans don’t know what is going
on there. Still though, it’s a nice little moment that looked cool with
two popular stars having a quick exchange. Seeing the two of them together
on television might happen someday, but for now it’s fine to settle for
    this.

Which of these two will hold their title longer? Will their relationship
ever be fully acknowledged on television? Let us know in the comments

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results - May 28, 2019

    Posted: 28 May 2019 05:02 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/smackdown-live-coverage-results-may-28-2019/

    Smackdown

    Date: May 28, 2019

    Location: BOK Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Commentators: Tom Phillips, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton

We’re finishing the month tonight with another night of pumping up Super ShowDown, which may in fact be better than (or equal to) Wrestlemania.
Whatever is presented tonight almost has to be better than last night’s
show, but WWE has shown an incredible ability to lower the bar before.
    Let’s get to it.

We open with a recap of Dolph Ziggler returning last week and destroying
    Kofi Kingston.

Here’s Kevin Owens for a match but he has something to say. Before he gets
to talk, we see a long video on Owens joining and then turning on New Day,
plus attacking Big E.’s knee last week. Back in the arena, Owens talks
about how he wanted to do a Kevin Owens Show here but Oklahoma doesn’t deserve him. He’s been accused of attacking Big E. but he had nothing to do with that. Owens likes the idea of Dolph Ziggler winning the WWE
Championship because it will be due to what Owens has done. Cue Owens’ opponent to cut him off.
    Kofi Kingston vs. Kevin Owens

Non-title. Hang on again though as Kofi grabs the mic and says he doesn’t believe Owens didn’t attack Big E. Owens lied about wanting to be part of
the New Day because he is a liar. Kofi says tonight, Owens is going to pay
for what he did to Big E.’s knee and attacking Woods week in and week out. Kofi dropkicks him at the bell but Owens drops him on the back of his head
to take over as we hit an early break.

Back with Kofi in trouble but managing to fight out of a chinlock. Owens
pulls him right back down and send Kofi head first into the mat. For some reason Owens goes for Kofi’s feet but gets kicked to the floor, setting up the big dive over the top to drop Owens again. We take another break and
come back again with Kofi fighting out of another chinlock. Owens sends him outside again though and hits a frog splash off the apron to crush the ribs
    all over again.

That’s good for a nine count, followed by another frog splash for two back inside. Owens goes up top but this time Kofi is there to forearm away. A headbutt knocks Kofi down and the Swanton gets two as these kickouts are becoming way too much to take. The Pop Up powerbomb is countered and a
quick Trouble in Paradise gives Kofi the pin at 16:48.

Result: Kofi Kingston b. Kevin Owens Trouble in Paradise (16:48)

R-Truth and Carmella run from everyone with Truth saying how hard it is to defend the European Title. He has to run all the time, even at the
dentist’s office. Do you know how hard it is to get a cavity filled when
you have to kick out of pins? They run off and evade Drake Maverick, who
    has the wanted posters again.

Here are Daniel Bryan and Rowan for a chat. Bryan calls the Smackdown tag
team division a joke. Rowan even makes a knock knock joke to make it clear
how bad the division really is. They’re no joke though because they have
big plans. While fat, ignorant humans ate the beautiful creatures over
Memorial Day, such as an intelligent pig named Wiggles or a cow named
Wilbur, they didn’t realize that those creatures had names.

Oklahoma is worse than anyone else, with their fracking and oil well
drilling, which brings them earthquakes. The fans cheer for that but the intimidated Kayla Braxton says that there are some teams who want to
challenge them. Cue Heavy Machinery with Otis hitting the gyrations. They
want a title shot right now and here’s a referee. Bryan and Rowan accept
the challenge, but not in a fracking state like this.

Sonya Deville is proud of Mandy Rose being on the cover of Muscle and
Fitness Hers Magazine and the two hand out copies to some people. They run
into Ember Moon, who is sitting around reading Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of
all things. Sonya gives her all the magazines because she needs them to be
    a star.
    Carmella vs. Mandy Rose

Mandy gets half an entrance and armdrags Carmella down to start. She shows
off the magazine, which Carmella kicks away. A Thesz press has Mandy in
trouble but she sends Carmella face first into the middle buckle. The
chinlock goes on for a bit, followed by a jumping knee to the face.
Carmella sends her into the corner for a quick Bronco Buster but has to superkick Sonya down. That’s enough for Mandy to get a rollup pin at 3:10.

Result: Mandy Rose b. Carmella Rollup (3:10)

Jinder Mahal jumps Truth but gets thrown outside for his efforts. Truth
hides in a well placed photo booth, which allows the mob to run past him.
Drake Maverick FINALLY runs into him and the chase is on again.

Aleister Black says he gets it. Everyone is waiting for Black to throw out
a name and pick a fight with someone. There lies the conundrum though. He
is sitting here waiting patiently for someone, anyone, to pick a fight with him.

Here are Shane McMahon, Elias and Drew McIntyre for Shane McMahon
Appreciation Night. Shane says he doesn’t do what he does night in and
night out for a trophy or adulation. He just enjoys his life and being out
here in front of these people. Shane came back home to help run a family business and the greatest praise he can have is the company’s success.

We see a Shane highlight package, showing how awesome Shane has been over
the years. Back in the arena, Shane praises Kevin Dunn for the video
(Shane: “Don’t boo Kevin Dunn.”) and says it was for Roman Reigns. A few weeks ago, Reigns punched Vince McMahon and that was biting the hand that
feeds him. At Super ShowDown, Shane is going to beat some respect into him. Elias sings about how Shane is the best in the world and how Texas is
better than Oklahoma….and here are R-Truth and Drake Maverick.

Truth hits a gordbuster and pins Maverick but Shane isn’t happy with the dancing. The beatdown is on with Elias hitting Drift Away and McIntyre
adding the Claymore….so Elias can win the title. Shane is out of breath
from that thirty seconds of action but still manages to make Elias/McIntyre
vs. Truth/Reigns. The 24/7 rules are suspended until the end of the match
    so Elias can focus.

Charlotte and Lacey Evans are having tea and rip on Becky Lynch and Bayley
for being rude. Now that Becky has lost her title, it’s time to send Bayley back to the kiddie pool.

Lars Sullivan vs. Lucha House Party is set for Super ShowDown.
    Bayley vs. Lacey Evans

Non-title with Charlotte on commentary. Bayley starts fast with a rollup
but gets sent into the corner. Lacey walks into a knee to the face but
she’s fine enough to send Bayley outside where Charlotte stands up as we
take a break. Back with Bayley hitting a crossbody for two until Lacey
sends her into the corner again. Lacey pulls out the wipe for some
annoyance but Bayley grabs the Stunner over the ropes. It’s time to head outside with Charlotte getting involved again, earning herself a shove from Bayley. Charlotte charges in and the distraction lets Bayley get a rollup
to put Evans away at 7:17.

Result: Bayley b. Lacey Evans Rollup (7:17)

Post match Bayley leaves and Lacey goes after Charlotte, earning herself a
    big foot to the face.

Video on HHH vs. Randy Orton.

We see a promo from last week where Finn Balor said he was banged up in
Money in the Bank. That’s why he didn’t get to perform last week and he’s not happy about it.

Andrade says he powerbombed Balor on the ladder and it’s going to be worse
    at Super ShowDown.

Here’s this week’s Firefly Fun House.
    Roman Reigns/R-Truth vs. Elias/Drew McIntyre

Truth is banged up and the 24/7 Rules are suspended. Hang on as Elias,
McIntyre and Shane jump Truth during his entrance. Reigns helps beat up
Elias and McIntyre as Shane gets stared up the ramp. The bell rings and
Shane offers a distraction so Elias can hammer away on Reigns in the
corner. The neck crank has Reigns in early trouble until a Samoan drop
breaks things up. Truth actually comes in so it’s a Glasgow Kiss to cut him off in a hurry. Drew whips him into the barricade and we take a break.

Back with Truth still in trouble as Elias and McIntyre take turns beating
on him. Truth manages to send Drew outside though and the diving tag brings
in Reigns for a nice reaction. The corner clotheslines and a big boot drop Elias as everything breaks down. The apron boot hits Elias but Reigns has
to punch Shane in the face. Drew misses the Claymore on the distracted
Reigns and it’s a spear to finish Elias at 10:44.

    Result: Roman Reigns/R-Truth b. Elias/Drew McIntyre – Spear to Elias (10:44)

Post match Reigns has an idea and spears Elias again so Truth can win the

    Fusion #59

    Commentators: Rich Bocchini, Jim Cornette

It’s time for a big night around here as the World Title is on the line
with Tom Lawlor defending against Avalanche. They’ve done a very good job
of making these World Title matches feel important as the champ is very
rarely in the arena, yet almost always makes a brief appearance, even in a pre-taped cameo. It’s been working well for me and hopefully that continues here. Let’s get to it.

We open with a recap of Lawlor winning the title and promising to face
anyone from all over the world, including Avalanche from Germany.

    Opening sequence.

We look at Brian Pillman Jr. beating Rich Swann in last week’s main event.

The Dynasty is preparing for Alexander Hammerstone to win the National
Title and all the money that it’s going to bring in. They don’t like the Hart Foundation and Hammerstone has a big arm.
    Ace Romero/Barrington Hughes vs. Contra

That would be Josef Samael/Jacob Fatu for Contra here. The brawl is on in a hurry with Romero and Fatu having an early standoff. Samael busts out his
spike though and knocks Romero cold, leaving Fatu to hit the moonsault for
the pin on Hughes at 1:12.

Result: Contra b. Ace Romero/Barrington Hughes Moonsault to Hughes (1:12)

Post match the beatdown stays on as the announcers talk about the lights flickering, though they don’t seem to be changing that much. The big guys
    are left laying.

Salina de la Renta plays coy about LA Park cashing in his title shot.

Earlier today, Contra attacked the Lucha Bros and Fenix took a fireball to
    the face.

Video on the Von Erichs, who are still coming.

Fenix has been tended to and lost a lot of skin from the fireball.

Video on Contra attacking Tom Lawlor.

Lawlor says he doesn’t get shaken by anything and people should be worried about how to get the title off of him. It doesn’t matter if you’re a bag of bones, guys from an 80s video game or an avalanche from German because he’s ready.
