Jacob Fatu Set To Face Tom Lawlor

MLW issued the following:

World Championship Title Fight signed: Jacob Fatu challenges Tom Lawlor
July 6 in Chicago 

Will CONTRA capture the top championship in MLW?

Tom Lawlor will defend his coveted World Heavyweight Championship at the
scene of the crime where CONTRA Unit first struck: Chicagos Cicero Stadium.
His opponent: the undefeated 300 pound Samoan Smashing Machine Jacob Fatu
of Contra Unit.

MLW today announced World Heavyweight Title Fight: Filthy Tom Lawlor vs. Jacob Fatu (of CONTRA Unit)for MLW: Kings of Colosseum at Cicero
Stadium in Chicago. The event is a TV taping for beIN SPORTS on Saturday
night July 6th with a 7 p.m. bell time.

CONTRA Unit first struck in MLW on March 2nd, hijacking a live broadcast on beIN SPORTS. Locking the steel cage moments after a Lawlor title fight, the trio of outsiders Fatu, Josef Fatu and Simon Gotch would unleash hell en
route to Fatu climbing the steel cage and crushing Lawlor with a massive splash.  In the aftermath, Lawlor would be hospitalized and suffer injuries which would take him out of action for 5 weeks.

CONTRA have continued to terrorize Lawlor and MLW throughout the spring
with planned attacks in New York during the Battle Riot, a post fight press conference and most recently assaulting Tom Lawlor in a Milwaukee parking
lot last week.

CONTRA Unit would continue their campaign of psychological attacks
hijacking the MLW TV truck live television and playing a video featuring a beaten Lawlor being assaulted with the champions hair being ripped out.

As far as Lawlor is concerned, enough is enough.  Lawlor has demanded he
get the very dangerous 300 pounder one-on-one and has acquiesced to a title fight against the undefeated Fatu.

Has Lawlor fallen for the shadowy international cabals tactics? Or, is Fatu entering Lawlors world of pain where the 10 year UFC veteran looks to fight Fatu  in a fair battle with championship gold hanging in the balance?

An institution in fighting for decades, Cicero Stadium is conveniently
located 8 miles from downtown Chicago and very close to the Pink Line. You
can get to it from both Interstate Highways 290 and 55.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From Interstate 290, take the Laramie exit heading South and travel 6

exit and head north until 22nd Street. Take a left and then a right on S. Laramie Ave. Travel three blocks to Cicero Stadium and parking is both

station is located between 54th Avenue and Laramie Avenue, just north of

Ric Flair Reveals Why He Called Out Shawn Michaels

Two-time WWE Hall Of Famer, Ric Flair recently spoke with Busted Open Radio
to address why he called out Shawn Michaels in his recent YouTube video.

For those who dont remember, the Nature Boy took to YouTube shortly after
his most recent surgery to cut a major promo on his health, where he took a shot at both JR and Shawn Michaels about what they said during his 30 For
30.



Flair revealed the reason he did that was that he was hurt by what they
said in the documentary:

What I said was because he hurt my feelings, I was not questioning who he
is, said Flair. I called up Jim Ross (for JRs comments in the documentary) and cussed him out, but Jim was telling the truth. When you open yourself
up (like he did) in that 30 for 30, you take the good with the bad.

I didnt like what my own kids said about me. Anyone who knows me knows, if
I have it in my pocket, its theirs. I can assure you they all lived great lives. Was I there? No. It was a tough schedule and it is now. But you
cannot even compare it to not coming home for three months.

Flair also spoke about why he did the entire video in the first place:

I just said, Hell, Im going to say what I think and what I feel, exclaimed Flair. I had to rest for two days after I made that video. I was just
making a point because I was losing business opportunities, people were thinking maybe he isnt going to come around. So, I had to do something to
show some energy, just wanted to be energized and show people I still had
it.

conversation.

“I think an individual’s career is up to the individual. I think that’s pretty much the way I can describe that. I’ve been having the same conversation with myself – I’m only 42 but it’s something that we’ve gotta
address each day. And that’s individually specific. When those people are ready to stop, they’ll stop.”

Batista Reveals He Tried To Talk The Undertaker Out Of Goldberg Match

During a recent interview with Ryan Satin, WWE Legend, Batista revealed
that he actually tried to talk The Undertaker out of his recent WWE Super ShowDown match.

The match certainly got the WWE universe talking, with numerous major
botches taking place it has opened up the conversation about if the two
legends should now retire.

Batista recently spoke with Ryan Satin and he spoke about how he did try to stop Undertaker from competing in the match, stating:

“I called ‘Taker Friday. I called him Friday and I said, ‘Hey man, is there
any way I can talk you out of this?’ and he just started laughing. He goes, ‘You know, when they talked to me about it a while back it sounded good,
but I’m obligated, so we’re doing it.’”

Update On Cesaro After Being Helped To The Back During WWE Raw

Following his match on WWE Raw last night, Cesaro had to be helped to the
back by WWEs medical staff, after suffering a nasty bump.

Cesaro was on the receiving end of Ricochets 630 splash, who ended up
landing on Cesaros leg, with the Swiss Superman immediately grabbing it
after being ni clear discomfort.

Despite Cesaro being helped to the back, thankfully Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet reported that the Swiss Superman was ok when he got to
the back and that a serious injury was not suffered.

United States Champion, Samoa Joe recently spoke with Sporting News about a range of topics including the chaotic Super ShowDown match.

On the chaotic battle royal at Super ShowDown:

No, I dont think anybody ever has. It was a chaotic scene, let me tell you
that in 101-degree weather and a lot of human body heat. It was quite the inferno in that ring, Joe said.

Thats the kind of heat you dont make adjustments for. You just realize its going to suck really, really bad. Youre going to have to grin and bear it.
With the exception of maybe running sprints in a sauna, I dont think theres anything you can really do to prepare for that.

On being a great promo:

Its really simple. Id love to sit here and say it was some long, miraculous process, but its not that at all, Joe responded. When I go out there and if
Im out in the ring and Im saying something to you, Im out there to pick a fight. Plain and simple. Im out there to push your buttons, to put you off balance, to get you jumping. Thats my intentions and its the effort behind
the words that I say and the things that I do.

People say that it feels a little more real or more authentic. Thats
because thats its intention. Im not out there to tell you a wonderful tale about what I have planned. Im not there to tell you what Im going to do. Im going to ask you what youre going to do about it.
