Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

June 7, 2019

Michael Cole welcomes us live to the King Abdullah International Stadium
in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia alongside Corey Graves and Renee Young, who are
sitting ringside. Universal Champion Seth Rollins makes his way down to the ring, so it looks like were starting with the big title match right off the bat!

WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

SETH ROLLINS (c) vs. BARON CORBIN

The champs ribs are bandaged up after the brutal attack from Brock Lesnar
on Raw, and Corbin of course goes right after them with hard rights and
lefts in the corner. Rollins tries to fight back but is dropped
stomach-first on the ropes, flopping to the mat in pain. It worked so well Corbin did it a second time while mocking the fans and the burn it down
chant, keeping his opponent from gaining any momentum by focussing on the injury.

The challenger slowed things down for several minutes, applying a bear hug before hitting a big back suplex for two. He spent a bit too much time
taunting and Rollins caught him with an enzuigiri, and started fighting
back with desperate chops and wild right hands. He got the boots up in the corner and connected with a Slingblade, then dove through the ropes with a
tope suicida when Corbin tried to escape.

Rollins to the top rope looking to put things away, got caught by the neck,
and reversed a chokeslam into a sunset flip pin for a nearfall. Another enzuigiri connects. He tried to get the crowd going with burn it down
chants, but only a few people did them and he ran right into a monstrous chokeslam from the challenger. Corbin connected with the Deep Six, but it
still wasnt enough, so he went after the referee screaming at him in the corner. He went to the floor and grabbed a steel chair, and once again got
into a screaming match with the referee. Rollins rolled him from behind out
of nowhere, and the ref made a quick count! Its over!

Winner & Still Champion: Seth Rollins

After the match, Corbin laid out Rollins with the End of Days. Here comes
Brock Lesnar, with Paul Heyman and the Money in the Bank briefcase! Heyman,
for some reason, tripped on the ropes and fell on his ass. This distracted Lesnar and the champion was able to once again punch him in the balls.
Rollins got a steel chair and must have hit Brock with it a dozen times,
before delivering a Curb Stomp into the briefcase! Rollins is still the champion!

Rollins walked up the entrance ramp celebrating with fans before eventually taking his leave. Lesnar was slow getting to his feet, and is covered in
cuts and welts from the brutal chair attack. His elbow looks like it got
messed up in the brawl as well.

Womens Match Reportedly NOT Happening At WWE Super Showdown

As previously reported, WWE flew both Alexa Bliss and Natalya out to Saudi Arabia this week with the hopes that they would have a singles match
between the two cleared in time for WWE Super Showdown.

According to Dave Meltzer via F4WOnline.com, that match will not be
happening as it hasnt been cleared by the proper Saudi Arabian government officials.

Originally the plan in building out these shows was that WWE would at some point in their 10-year contract put on the first womens wrestling match in
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, something that WWE could promote as having
made a cultural impact in the controversial region, and creating history.

The reality is that the Saudi Royal Family and General Sports Authority
could have made this happen at any time, and there have been other female athletes and entertainers who have performed in the country on a large
scale in the past.

Still, it was widely reported that the first time WWE put on a show there,
they ran a video package that featured women in their wrestling gear, and
the government had to issue an official apology and condemnation.

While WWE will almost certainly promote it as major, groundbreaking history when/if it does ever happen, you dont get a standing ovation for being the
last country in the world to give women the most basic of human rights.

Its not progressive to put on a wrestling match in a country where WWEs own Sonya Deville who is currently out doing Pride month activities on behalf
of the company, ironically could be publicly executed at the command of
the very person paying WWE to run these shows, simply because of her
sexuality.

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins made a surprise return to
Impact Wrestling at Thursday nights television taping event. In a segment expected to air later this month,

TJP answered the open challenge of up-and-coming star Ace Austin, who
claimed he would win the X-Division Championship (currently held by Rich
Swann) and rename the entire division the Ace Division. The two then
competed in a short singles match.

The following report contains major SPOILERS from night one of the Impact Wrestling television tapings at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York. Credit to PWInsider.com. 

Michael Elgin def. Willie Mack

Elgin and attacked Mack after the match which turned into a brawl
involving Johnny Impact and Rich Swann. The heels got the upper hand, until Elgin laid out Impact with a German suplex and left everybody laying.

The North def. Sabu & Rob Van Dam

Moose attacked Sabu and RVD until Tommy Dreamer made the save. Van Dam
tried to hit Moose with the Van Terminator but the big man narrowly escaped.

Havok def. ???

Father James Mitchell did a promo continuing the story with Su Yung and Rosemary. He unleashed Havok as his kaiju queen to get Su back, and will
now take her to the Knockouts Championship. But first, Havok will have to
go through Rosemary.

Raj Singh def. Cody Deaner

Madison Rayne def. Jordynne Grace

Killer Kross def. The Sandman

Eddie Edwards ran out to save his dad, Sandman, and chased Kross off with
his kendo stick.

Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz def. Trey Miguel in a triple threat match between all three members of The Rascalz. Dez and Wentz both pinned Trey at
the same time so they were both declared the winners.

Tessa Blanchard def. Jake Crist

Sawyer Fulton def. Eddie Edwards because he was apparently distracted by a video on the tron of Killer Kross water boarding The Sandman somewhere backstage Yes, seriously.

Moose def. Tommy Dreamer

Taya Valkyrie (c) def. Su Yung to retain the Knockouts Championship via DQ after interference from Havok. James Mitchell and his crew surround the
ring and Rosemary comes out, but hes not looking for a fight. He announces
that at Slammiversary the first ever Fatal 4-Way Womens Monsters Ball will
take place. Taya will defend the Knockouts title against Su Yung, Rosemary
and Havok!

Ace Austin came out and said that he had transended the company and would
win the X-Division Championship and rename it the Ace Division. TJ PERKINS
came out as the surprise challenger!

TJ Perkins def. Ace Austin

Rich Swann def. Michael Elgin and Johnny Impact in a triple threat match

A brawl broke out to close the night. Johnny used the giant red X to choke out Swann. Brian Cage made his return and murdered John E. Bravo (the
crooked referee) and faced off with Michael Elgin. Cage left him lying to
end the tapings.

WATCH: The New Days Promo on Kofi Kingstons Super ShowDown Opponent Dolph Ziggler

The New Day is the focus of a backstage promo on WWEs YouTube channel. The promo takes place in Saudi Arabia, just one day before Super ShowDown,
where Kofi Kingston will defend his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler.

The promo is ridiculous on every level, but its exactly what WWE fans have
come to expect from The New Day. Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E are entertaining as individuals. But together, they are the funniest act in the company. They have great chemistry together and theyre almost always on
their game.

But as entertaining as The New Day is, many fans have been unhappy with
Kofis continuing participation. Thats because of his run as WWE champion,
which could have elevated him above his spot with Woods and Big E.

Instead, Kingston remains the same carefree Superstar hes always been. But while critics may not care for this, the truth is that Kofi is obviously in
his element with The New Day. The groups supporters know that despite the
way hes been booked since becoming WWE champion, Kofi always rises to the occasion and delivers every time his number is called.

It appears as though Kofis time with The New Day will continue whether hes
WWE champion or not, though thats not guaranteed. Some fans believe that
the trio will eventually turn on each other at some point and that could
very well happen if Ziggler wins the WWE Championship at Super ShowDown.

Dolph Ziggler Criticizes Kofi Kingston Ahead of Super ShowDown

WWE has posted an interview with Dolph Ziggler on YouTube. The video comes
less than 24 hours before Ziggler faces Kofi Kingston for the WWE
Championship at Super ShowDown.

The two Superstars have feuded many times over the years and nearly every
title has been up for grabs between them, except for the WWE Championship. Ziggler acknowledged that Kofi earned the title, but he also pointed out
that the champ has Xavier Woods and Big E backing him up every step of the
way.

Ziggler is his usual confident self of course but when asked about what
makes him different than Kingston, his words echoed the sentiments of many
WWE fans. Those fans feel that Kofi is perhaps not championship material.

When I look into his eyes, I see someone that works hard. I see someone
that works smart. I see someone that wants to do good for the community and the world and the business of professional wrestling and sports
entertainment. But at the end of the day, he is a nice guy. And that is fantastic for shaking hands and kissing babies and doing PR tours around
the world. But if you wanna be WWE champion, you have to be willing to stab someone in the back and Im ready to do that every single day.

Ziggler has been a less than part-time Superstar over the past few months.
WWE is allowing him to take time off to pursue other interests, including standup comedy. Many fans believe that Dolphs absence will eventually lead
to an exit for him and that he will ultimately land with AEW. But that is
pure speculation at this point, as neither side has publicly confirmed any future business together.

Randy Orton Talks Super ShowDown, Teases a Feud with Finn Blor

Randy Ortons interview on WWEs Super ShowDown event has been posted on the companys YouTube channel. This video follows the one featuring Ortons
opponent for the June 7 event, Triple H.

The Viper talked about his history with The Game and pointed out that he
never had a chance to take Hunter down on a big stage.

I never really had the opportunity to beat him in front of a large crowd of people. Batista did, when he was coming up. John Cena has, Roman Reigns
has, I think Seth Rollins has, so I think its my turn to get that notch on my belt that has Triple Hs name on it.

Orton was then asked whats next for him after his match with The Game.
Orton said he missed his family and was anxious to get home. But he also mentioned the possibility of feuding with Finn Bálor on SmackDown Live.

Hes got the I-C strap. Its been a long time since I had that title, the Intercontinental title. I wouldnt mind taking if off Fin, lugging it around the world for couple of weeks, months. Theres all kinds of talent that Id
like to work with I think Finn Bálor would be at the top of that list.

Ortons match with Triple H has had extremely little buildup, but thats been
the case for the majority of matches booked at Super ShowDown. The Saudi
Arabia card also features Kofi Kingston defending the WWE Championship
against Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins defending the Universal title against
Baron Corbin and the dream match of Goldberg versus The Undertaker.
