It Was Him. Bray Wyatt Reveals Who Came Up With The Husky Harris Character
    And Might Want Revenge.

    Posted: 23 Aug 2019 12:03 AM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/bray-wyatt-reveals-came-husky-harris-character-someone-know/

So that’s who to blame. Over the summer, Bray Wyatt’s Fiend character has been one of the most thrilling twists that WWE has presented in a very long time. Wyatt has been displaying a split personality and both characters
are equally fascinating in a way. The new character was necessary to make
up for some of his previous issues, but there is more to his past and now
    we know who to blame.

Wyatt was recently asked on Twitter about his Husky Harris days, which
Wyatt suggested was a Cody Rhodes invention. Wyatt has not wrestled under
the Harris gimmick since April 2012 but has since spoken rather negatively about his time. The response seemed to make it clear that Wyatt was not
happy with his time as Harris and credits it for his rise over the years.
Wyatt has mocked the character on the Firefly Fun House with Huskus The Pig.

    @CodyRhodes did that.

    He was his partner.

    He trusted him.

He was ridiculed in front of the world, for someone else’s failed attempt
    at fame.

    It destroyed him.

And from his ashes a butterfly was born.

    But the memory remains.

    - Bray Wyatt (@WWEBrayWyatt) August 23, 2019

Harris was not the best time for Wyatt. Check out his way to deal with the anger:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I can’t blame Wyatt for not being happy with his time as Harris,
as the character was rather uninteresting and in no way shape or form
showcased his talents either in the ring or on the microphone. It is hard
to imagine that they were even the same person and it is understandable
that the character is a dark mark on his career. Hopefully we never see
Harris again and I can’t imagine we will.

What is your favorite Wyatt character? What is next for him in WWE? Let

You Might Want Popcorn. CM Punk Interested In A Hosting Job On Fox Sports
1 (And Maybe On The WWE Show).

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 11:58 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/might-want-popcorn-cm-punk-may-interested-working-fox-sports-1-maybe-wwe-show/

The crossover could be on. We can’t go more than a few minutes without having something changing in a hurry. It might be due to a new show being added or something being moved to another network, or in some cases, both
at once. That is the case for the WWE as we head towards SmackDown Live
going over to FOX. This includes a new show on Fox Sports 1, which brings
    us to something rather interesting.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, CM Punk’s agent has reached out to FOX Sports 1 about Punk working as an analyst on an upcoming Fox
Sports 1 talk show. While it is not clear if this is the upcoming WWE
studio show, but it is a possibility. If Punk does work on the WWE show,
he would be employed by Fox Sports 1 rather than WWE, though WWE may try to stop Punk from being hired. There is also no word on if FOX is interested
    in bringing Punk in.

I mean, his previous return was quite good. Check out Punk’s return in
    2011:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This doesn’t seem to be something that is likely to happen but my goodness it could be interesting to see. Punk certainly knows wrestling
and knows how to talk, so putting him in this role could be fascinating.
Now that being said, I have a feeling that WWE would put their foot down
here as it might not be worth the headache, even if it could make for some incredibly tense television for a little while.

Do you think Punk will be on the show? Who will be the hosts? Let us know
    in the comments below.

Hes Done It Again. The Rock Achieves A Major Accomplishment.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 11:52 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/hes-done-rock-achieves-major-accomplishment/

Just in case he hasn’t done enough. There are very few stars in wrestling anywhere close to the level of the Rock. He became one of the biggest wrestling stars of all time and then moved on to Hollywood where he has dominated as well. The Rock may be the biggest movie star in the world and now, it turns out that he has some numbers to back up how big of a deal he
    is.

According to Forbes.com, the Rock was the highest paid actor of 2019. The
list looks at the highest paid stars from June 1, 2018 thru June 1, 2019
with the Rock coming in at #1, earning $89.4 million. It should be noted
that these numbers include film, television and royalties from a variety of products he produces or endorses. His margin of victory was quite wide as well, with Chris Hemsworth coming in second at $76.4 million.

The Rock has been in some big movies as of late. Check out him talking
with one of his wrestling co-stars:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by this one as the Rock certainly seems to be the biggest star in the world a lot of the time. Having him actually
top the list is far from surprising but it does show how much he does in addition to starring in films. That tends to be have been the case for a
long time, but in this case you can see how far he has gotten over the
years through all of his hard work.

Does this surprise you? Will Rock’s movie career slow down anytime soon?

Keep Them Growing. Another Big Wrestling Promotion May Be Getting A
    Secondary Show.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 11:46 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/keep-growing-another-big-wrestling-promotion-may-getting-secondary-show/

They’re expanding too? We’re coming up on one of the biggest days in wrestling history with the expansion of NXT to a two hour live event and
the addition of AEW’s weekly television show. Those shows have gotten most of the attention and that is for good reason. However, there is another
show that might be getting its own expansion and that could be interesting.

According to PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling recently held a show in
California called Cali Combat. During the show, Impact Wrestling attempted
to film a backdoor pilot for a second show for the company, which would
likely be a weekly studio show. There is no word on when the show would
air, but it would likely not be until the company moves over to a new television network. The show would probably air on the same network as
    Impact Wrestling.

This is what happens when there is combat in California. Check out a
    preview for the regular version:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: I can appreciate the idea of wanting to expand, but shouldn’t
Impact be worried about growing their audience a bit more before
expanding? It’s not like they have so much going on that they have this
kind of time. Every week features a flashback moment so you’re not even getting the full two hours in the first place. It’s a nice idea but not
the most practical thing at the moment.

Would you watch another Impact Wrestling show? What are they doing well at
the moment? Let us know in the comments below.

Put An Ad In The Paper. WWE Is Looking For A Specific Kind Of Employee.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:44 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/put-ad-paper-wwe-looking-specific-kind-employee/

Call the office. Referees are a part of wrestling that is often
overlooked. They have to do a lot more than call for the bell and count
pins as their job also includes relaying messages to the wrestlers and
keeping track of everything going on. It is a tough job to pull off and
one that very few in WWE get to do. Even fewer women get to do it, though
    that may be changing soon.

According to Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens, WWE is currently
looking for more referees and female referees in particular. The news
comes after Jessika Carr, a female referee who got her start in NXT in
2017, debuted on the main roster earlier this summer and also appeared as
Maria Kanellis’ doctor in a backstage segment. There is no word on if
these referees would debut in NXT or come straight to the main roster.

Unsure if the next WWE tryout is an all performance type thing or just for referees. WWE is actively looking for new referees, specifically female
    ones.

    - Casey Michael (@ifyouseekcasey) August 22, 2019

Carr’s hiring was a big deal. Check out an interview in NXT where fans got to know her:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This is a nice thing to see as there is really no reason to have
all male referees. There is no reason a female referee can’t do everything
a man can do, so why not have some of them? In theory, the referee is
there to enforce the rules so it’s not like they are required to get physical. Carr has been around for about two years now and the fact that
she is a woman is nothing more than a detail, just as it should be. She’s good at her job and other female referees can be good at theirs, if they
    are given a chance.

Who is your favorite referee? Who is the best referee today? Let us know
    in the comments below.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:31 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/derekstoughton/seth-rollins-becky-lynch-announce-engagement/

The power couple lives on. Its been no secret over the past few months that Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have been an item, and their relationship was featured prominently on WWE television in the summer of 2019. However, it
would appear that their relationship is blossoming to the next level.

On her official Instagram account, The Man announced that she was now
engaged to The Architect. You can see the official post below:

    Editors Opinion:

This is awesome! Ive been a fan of both of these two for a long time, and I believe that they will have a long and happy life together. I wouldnt be surprised if they end up with a reality show somewhere down the road, much
like Miz and Mrs. Either way, this is wonderful, and Im very happy for the
    both of them!

The Clock Is Ticking. Jon Moxley Dealing With Injury, Status Update For
    All Out.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:13 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/clock-ticking-jon-moxley-dealing-injury-status-update/

That’s cutting it close. AEW may not be the biggest wrestling company in
the world but it may be the hottest. Ever since they debuted just a few
months back, the company has gone from a hyped up idea to a promotion that keeps selling out every show it runs. They are coming up on their second
major pay per view event in less than ten days and the card is stacked, but something may slow things down a bit.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jon Moxley is dealing with
an elbow injury which may be due to an infection that he suffered while performing in Japan. At the moment there is no word on the severity of the injury, though Moxley was able to wrestle since the injury took place as he faced Pentagon Jr. at North East Wrestling last week. There is no
suggestion that Moxley will be unable to wrestle at All Out on August 31.

Moxley brings the fire to AEW. Check out his debut promo with the company: [This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: Egads that’s a rough one but it seems that Moxley will be able to perform on the show well enough. Hopefully he can be fine in time for All
Out as he and Kenny Omega are scheduled for one of the biggest matches on
the card. Moxley is one of the highest profile names on the show and will likely be one of the biggest stars in the promotion for a long time to come.

What are you expecting to see from Moxley at All Out? When will he be
World Champion? Let us know in the comments below.

Their Latest Endeavor. WWE Starting Its Own Podcasting Network Featuring Superstar Shows.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 05:32 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/latest-endeavor-wwe-starting-podcasting-network-featuring-superstar-shows/

The official version. These days, it seems that everyone in wrestling has
a podcast, even if it isn’t someone that you want to hear from every time. These former, and sometimes current, stars are able to talk about the
goings on in the world of wrestling, or maybe something interesting from
the past. This time around though, it’s a certain promotion getting
involved and it’s going to be big.

As announced on WWE.com, WWE is partnering with Endeavor Audio to create a
WWE podcasting network, including a variety of superstar related podcasts.
At the moment, there is no word on when these shows will debut or who will
be involved with them. Endeavor Audio has already worked with wrestling in
a way, producing the Bella Twins podcast.

WWE has done some podcasts before. Check out a pretty infamous moment on
    the Steve Austin Podcast:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world as you had to expect that WWE was going to get into the podcasting world at some point. WWE
likes to get its hand into everything they can and podcasting is something
that makes sense for them to get involved with. With all of the people
they have around, it isn’t hard to imagine WWE having an army of people
ready to record these things, though it’s going to be interesting to see
    how these things go.

RUMOR: Theyve Got Options. WrestleMania 37 Location Down To Four Cities
And We Know Two Of Them.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 05:28 PM PDT https://wrestlingrumors.net/tommyhall/theyve-got-options-wrestlemania-37-location-four-cities-know-two/

Where oh where can they go? One of the most interesting announcements of
the year is the location of the next WrestleMania. This gives you an idea
of whether you could be taking in the following year’s show, which makes
the announcement quite a bit of fun. Now since Wrestlemania has become
such a big deal for WWE, we get the notification even earlier than before.

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, both Los Angeles and Las
Vegas are possible locations for WrestleMania 37 in 2021. These two cities
are two of the four final options for the show with the other cities not
being known as of yet. Los Angeles is building two new stadiums for NFL
teams while Las Vegas is building a new stadium for the Oakland Raiders,
who will be moving to the city next year.

Along with Los Angeles being a favorite to host WrestleMania 37, a source
tells me Las Vegas is also on the table. The same source states WWE has not made a decision and are considering up to 4 locations as finialists. @ArashMarkazi 1st on the LA tidbit.

    - WrestleVotes (@WrestleVotes) August 22, 2019

WrestleMania has been in Las Vegas before. Check out part of WrestleMania
    9:
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: You had to see something like this coming. If there is one thing
that WWE likes to do, it is get into a stadium early in its lifespan to set
a record that won’t be broken for a long time. WrestleMania goes back and forth across the country so putting it in Los Angeles or Los Angeles again makes some sense. I’m still waiting on another midwestern show but this certainly sounds fun.
