Unexpected Name Reportedly Traveling With WWE Crew To Saudi Arabia

In an unexpected move, former womens champion Natalya is currently with the
WWE crew heading overseas to Saudi Arabia for this Fridays Super Showdown event, according to a new report from PWInsider.
While there is no word officially on what Natalya might be doing at Super Showdown, her involvement is potentially very interesting as WWE has never before brought over a female wrestler for one of the Saudi Arabia shows.
She would be the first to do so, although it is unlikely she will be
wrestling on the show itself, given that during the first Saudi Arabia show
the government freaked out and had to issue public statements because clips
of WWE women in their ring gear were shown during a video package that
aired in the arena. .

Will Ospreay Wins 2019 Best of the Super Juniors Tournament, Ends Shingo Takagis Undefeated Streak

After three weeks of grueling tournament action, Will Ospreay delivered on
his promise to slay the dragon this morning in becoming the 2019 Best of
the Super Juniors Champion!
Ospreay advanced from this years ultra-competitive B Block where he
finished with an impressive 7-2 record, scoring 14 points. While this was clearly a more deadly and focussed Aerial Assassin than ever before, the UK star still faced a mountain of a challenge in the unbeaten Last Dragon of
Los Ingobernables, Shingo Takagi.
While Ospreays record would have been enough to win him a block in any of
the last five Super Juniors tournaments, his accomplishments paled in comparison to Shingo, who finished a flawless 9-9 for an unprecedented 18 points, setting a new all-time tournament record that is unlikely to be
beaten any time soon.
This is Will Ospreays second Super Juniors victory, but his third Finals appearance in the past four years. He won the 2016 tournament as well with
a Finals win over Ryusuke Taguchi, who he defeated in this years B Block
Finals as well.
After the match, the UK sensation informed the fans that he would be moving full-time to Japan soon, and will be able to call New Japan home going
forward. With this win, Ospreay will face Dragon Lee for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship on June 9th at NJPW Dominion.

BREAKING: Jon Moxley Wins IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Title In NJPW Debut
Posted: 05 Jun 2019 06:41 AM PDT
https://www.prowrestling.com/breaking-jon-moxley-wins-iwgp-u-s-heavyweight-title-in-njpw-debut/
Breaking news coming out of this mornings NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Finals, as Jon Moxley has won the IWGP United States Heavyweight
Championship.
In what was his first match since leaving WWE at the end of April, the
artist formerly known as the Lunatic Fringe stepped into the historic
Ryogoku Sumo Hall with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. His opponent? A pissed off Juice Robinson looking to prove that he is anything
but the same developmental talent that Moxley knew years ago, back when the
two first shared the ring in FCW.
Juice showed off a whole new level of aggression during this mornings
match, and actually cut off all of his signature dreadlocks to reveal a matching new look to go along with the personality. While he did his best
to dig down to the dirty, bloody places that Moxley went during throughout their title fight, ultimately it was the newly dubbed Death Rider that
scored the victory, winning the IWGP U.S. title in the process.
This match was doubly important for Moxley to win, as he had everything to
lose after several podcasts broke over the last week sharing his incredibly candid takes, exposing and confirming massive problems with both Vince
McMahon and the modern WWE creative process.
Of course, this sets up an interesting scenario where a top All Elite
Wrestling star coming off a prominent run in WWE, now has possession of a
New Japan singles championship.

NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Finals
Ryogoku Sumo Hall
Tokyo, Japan
June 5, 2019
The following report is by Mike Killam for ProWrestling.com. Follow me on Twitter @MikeKillam and check out our new weekly NJPW podcast The Lion-Gun
Show (@LionGunShow).
SHOTA UMINO, TITAN & DRAGON LEE vs. JONATHAN GRESHAM, BANDIDO & REN NARITA
Dragon Lee came out wearing a Shibata shirt, because hes a gem. Shota drove down Gresham with a big shoulder tackle to get things started, before the
two went back-and-forth with quick pinning combinations. In comes Bandido,
and Titan tags in to meet him. All kinds of great lucha things here with
both guys flipping and flying all around the ring, trading
counter-for-counter until Bandido popped his opponent up into a cutter for
a two-count. Were off and running!
Bandido went for an early 21-Plex but ran into a heavy knee strike, before
the two collided with a Spanish Fly that seemed to take it out of both men. Tags to Narita and Lee, with the Young Lion going crazy with wild rights
and lefts, obviously something to prove against the champion. He managed to hang Lee up in the ropes while Bandido did a diving double foot stomp from
the top, followed by a Shooting Star from Gresham, but Umino made the save
for his team and cleared the ring.
The champions team took out all their agression on Narita for a few
minutes, alternating in with quick tags and punishing the poor boy with
flashy combos. Bandido and Titan ended up flying through the ropes,
crashing into the barricade taking each other out. Narita again lit up the champ with a series of strikes and suplexes, but Lee caught him with a knee strike, then pulled down his kneepad for another, unprotected strike. 123.
Winners: Dragon Lee, Shota Umino & Titan
RYUSUKE TAGUCHI & ROPPONGI 3K vs. ROBBIE EAGLES, EL PHANTASMO & TAIJI
ISHIMORI
Phantasmo is out first, being a huge dick as always. He attacks Taguchi
early on and takes his rugby helmet and punts his ball into the upper deck.
To be fair, it was a good kick. He spent the first portion of the match
working over Coach and spending most of his time taunting the crowd, which seemed to annoying his own Bullet Club partner Robbie Eagles, who has had enough of his constant showboating.
In a total comedy spot the guy guys rally back and Coach has the boys does
a chain of clotheslines on Phantasmo in the corner. He goes up to the top
rope and tells them to send ELP flying into his rear, but Phantasmo stops
up short and gives him the ole thumb-in-the-bum, shades of the great Steve Corino. It took all three Bullet Club members to pull his thumb out of
Taguchis ass, like pulling the mythical sword from the stone. The smell
alone knocks out his partners, and nearly gets him a three-count on Taguchi
as well. Alright then.
ELP does the Undertaker rope walk but walks Taguchi all around the ring, bouncing off the ropes and taking out SHO and YOH whilst somehow never
losing his balance on the ropes. Eventually Eagles tags in but doesnt fair
well as the tag champs double team him with all kinds of quick
combinations. They took out ELP with stereo knee strikes, tried for the 3K
on Eagles, but he blocked it and dropped both guys with DDTs.
SHO popped back up and turned Eagles inside out with a huge lariat, tried
for another one but got caught in the Turbo Backpack for a two-count. He
went to the top and hit the 450 Splash, but ELP made a blind tag his
partner didnt see. Eagles tried to cover him, but Phantasmo yanked him off,
his the CR2 and covered SHO himself to steal the win.
Winners: Bullet Club
After the match Phantasmo paraded around the ring celebrating his great victory, before he and Ishimori stole the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championships
and pretended like they had won them. Eagles shoved him across the ring and
the crowd gasped. The two nearly went at it but Ishimori split them up, and Phantasmo basically said to hell with you and walked off by himself to the back.

R-Truth defended his WWE 24/7 Championship on the June 4 edition of
SmackDown Live. Truth faced Elias in a traditional Lumberjack Match, which
was not contested under the 24/7 rule.
Truth quickly lost to Elias, who was then mauled by the lumberjacks. He
managed to escape under the ring however, where he was followed by Truth.
Truth got the pin on Elias under the ring, making R-Truth the four-time
24/7 champion.
Now WWE has posted the unaired footage from Truths title win. The win comes fast and Truth escaped with his title even faster after the pinfall.
The 24/7 Championship was largely considered a joke in the beginning and
that may very well be the case for many WWE fans now. But no one can deny
that R-Truth continues to entertain every time hes on camera and hes making this the most fun championship on any WWE brand.

LAX Talk WWE Tag Teams, Wrestling The Rock n Roll Express, More
Posted: 04 Jun 2019 07:46 PM PDT
https://www.prowrestling.com/lax-talk-wwe-tag-teams-wrestling-the-rock-n-roll-express-more/
LAX recently appeared on Sirius XMs Busted Open, where they talked about a variety of pro wrestling topics. One of those topics was whether or not the current Impact Wrestling World Tag Team champions follow the WWE product.
More specifically, Ortiz and Santana were asked about whether or not they
kept up with the current crop of tag teams in WWE and the answer was an emphatic yes.
100%. We like to stay up to date with everything and try to peep game on everything. The guys over right now in WWE, like The Usos, The New Day
and Revival, of course, those dudes are shaping tag team wrestling in a whole different light, man. Those dudes have been doing awesome stuff.
The conversation then turned to LAXs match with the legendary Rock n Roll Express. The match in question took place during WrestleMania 35 weekend
and LAX had nothing but positive things to say about their encounter with
the Hall of Fame tag team.
Amazing. The best.
We were a little nervous to meet them, weve never met them before. We go upstairs, we say hello, to them. There was a little bit of a testing out process on their part; they never met us before. But as soon as they seen
we were cool dudes, you know what I mean? We hit it off instantly.
The duo also said that Ricky Morton was more than wiling to take the
infamous Canadian Destroyer and that Morton called the entire match in the ring. LAX was more than happy with the overall match, which they called awesome.
LAX mentioned their bout against The Young Bucks on Chris Jerichos Rock N Wrestling Rager at Sea, which may never be broadcast. Ortiz and Santana
were very complimentary of The Young Bucks. They were also flattered that
Matt and Nick Jackson specifically requested them for a match, which LAX
said was amazing.
