FITE TV Denies Being In Talks With WWE

Despite reports about WWE being in negotiations to buy FITE TV, it appears
that isnt the case as the streaming service has denied all rumors.

It had been claimed that WWE was interested in buying the streaming company which carries the likes of Ring Of Honor, and has streamed AEW shows.
However, FITE TVs Twitter account has denied all of those rumors.

Stephanie McMahon recently spoke with Fortune Magazine where she discussed
the current state of WWE and the company joining FOX.

On the current state of WWE:

Well, first I’m going to start with what hasn’t changed. Its our mission to put smiles on people’s faces all over the world. Whether we do that with
our entertainment or by giving back to the community; that has definitely
not changed. The fundamentals of storytelling have definitely not changed.
Its still protagonist versus antagonist with conflict resolution. That’s no different than any great storytelling platform. The only difference is that
our conflicts are settled inside a 20-by-20-foot ring. What has changed is
that we now have the ability to go, more than ever, direct to consumer.
Whether thats through our WWE Network, through digital and social media,
it’s allowing us to have the one-on-one engagements with our fan base.

What AEW means to WWE:

I think it will ultimately make us all better, I really do.

On WWE joining FOX:

 Strictly from a company standpoint, it more than tripled the value of our content rights. I couldn’t be prouder of that. And we couldn’t be more proud to be a part of the Fox family. Yes, we are an entertainment
franchise, but we deliver like sports. It’s exactly where I think WWE
should be.

Kay Lee Ray On Her Upcoming NXT UK Womens Championship Match

WWE NXT UK Superstar, Kay Lee Ray recently spoke with Give Me Sport where
she spoke about her upcoming NXT UK Womens Championship shot against Toni Storm.

On her upcoming title shot:

Weve had the experience of wrestling each other before, and now weve got
this stage, I can only say that I am going to go for it and Im going to
give everything that Ive got because I want to walk out Womens Champion
that night, she said of the match with Storm.

Possibly facing Becky Lynch:

I would love to just get in the ring with her and see what I can do, she
said. Weve never crossed paths before, shed gone from the scene before I
was introduced to it, and she does have a massive target on her back
obviously. Shes at the top of the company right now so everybodys probably saying her name, but it would definitely have to be Becky Lynch.

On intergender wrestling in WWE:

As a few people already know Ive tried my hand at a few intergender matches over the past few years, so I think progressing to something like that
would be fantastic, she said. I do hope it happens sooner than later and of course the girls are taking stuff just as good as they give so hopefully
that happens soon.

Enes Kanter Set To Have A Front Row Seat For AEW In Boston

After having a back and forth with MJF on social media, Boston Celtics,
Enes Kanter has confirmed he will have a front-row seat for AEW in Boston.

MJF took to Twitter to complain about AEW going to Boston for one of their first TV shows, claiming the city is overhyped, taking a shot at Kanter in
the process for dressing up as Hulk Hogan.

MJF then challenged him to show up at the October 9th event so he can
bounce his ass out, to which the basketball star responded by telling him
to get verified before he can talk sh*t.

Cody Rhodes then got involved, apologizing on MJFs behalf, inviting Kanter

WWE Watch Along Confirmed For WWE SummerSlam; Matt Riddle Set To Appear

WWE has confirmed that the popular YouTube show, WWE Watch Along will once again be returning for this Sundays WWE SummerSlam.

The show, which streams live during WWE SummerSlam, will be hosted by both Cathy Kelley and Pat McAfee and several guests have already been announced.

NXT Champion, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Shayna Baszler, and Santino
Marella have all been confirmed to appear throughout, with other guests expected to pop in throughout the night.

Most interestingly though, Matt Riddle, will also be on the show, which
will certainly make for interesting viewing given his thoughts on both
Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.

Paige Reveals She Needs Another Neck Surgery

Paige has revealed on social media that she needs to have another surgery
on her neck in the future, revealing just how bad her neck is.

Paige had to cancel her planned WWE SummerSlam Meet and Greet appearance as
she had to go and meet with her doctor. When she got out of the meeting she admitted that she needs one more surgery on her neck, working with the same doctor who helped Nikki Bella and Tyson Kidd.

On Instagram, Paige also revealed that she was told by her doctor that she
has the neck of a 60-year-old, showing just how bad her injury was.

neck of a 60 year old. The first fusion healed perfectly. But I developed another hernia above it after my match in Uniondale. It didn’t get better over time.. One more surgery.

WWE Hall Of Famer, Trish Stratus recently spoke with The Toronto Sun to
promote WWE SummerSlam where she revealed why she is returning.

On why she is returning for WWE SummerSlam:

“As you get older, you decide this is it,” she said. “I don’t need to keep
coming back. I’ve had my ride. But this scenario was so special. To face a superstar like Charlotte Flair at this point of my life. In Toronto. At the second biggest pay-per-view of the year (WrestleMania is first). What could
be more right?

“To face the greatest of her generation — and it’s been argued that I was the greatest of my generation — it’s a pretty unique matchup. Everything is aligning for this and with my age — how much longer can I do this or want
to do this? This is the perfect time to do it.”

On being an icon for the current talent:

“It’s humbling and gratifying to hear (that) all your hard work touched someone,” she said. “I didn’t want to be a wrestler when I grew up. I grew
up on Miss Elizabeth. That’s who the women in wrestling were. I wanted to
be a doctor.

“Now little kids come up to me and say, ‘When I grow up, I want to be wrestler.’ It’s pretty crazy to hear that.”
