Lio Rush Says Writing Music Helped With His Mental Health

WWE Superstar Lio Rush recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about his new single, Scenic Lullaby. Rush said that he was in a very dark place during
his teenage years.
“Seven years ago, I was in a suicidal state,” said the 24-year-old Rush. “There was a point in time where I was hospitalized for a few days because
I was in such a bad state. It was really hard to continue, but I made the decision that I wouldn’t give up. I decided to keep pushing forward.”
According to Rush, it was writing music that helped him get through his struggles with mental health. He sees putting his music out for people to
hear as a way to pay it forward and give them something they could feel.
“There was a point when I wanted to give up on my dreams, just give up on everything, I wanted to give up on life,” said Rush. “Writing the lyrics to ‘Scenic Lullaby’ was therapeutic to me. I put my words to music so others could feel my struggle, understand why I am who I am, and feel what I feel
on a daily basis. I wanted to give people something they could feel.”
The video for Rushs single is currently available on YouTube.

Ring of Honor Announces Huge Six Man Main Event For Nashville
Posted: 06 Aug 2019 12:12 PM PDT
https://www.prowrestling.com/ring-of-honor-announces-huge-six-man-main-event-for-nashville/
Ring of Honor has made the following available:
VILLAIN ENTERPRISES, LIFEBLOOD MEET IN SHOWDOWN FOR ROH WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TITLES IN NASHVILLE
Feuding factions will collide when ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions
Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll, PCO and Brody King) defend their titles against LifeBlood (Bandido, Mark Haskins and Tracy Williams) at Honor For
All in Nashville, Tenn., on Aug. 25.
The match was originally scheduled to take place at Mass Hysteria in
Lowell, Mass., a couple weeks ago but had to be postponed due to King
suffering an ankle injury the night before in an eight-man tag match
against LifeBlood and PJ Black at Manhattan Mayhem.
The last time Villain Enterprises and LifeBlood met in a six-man tag match
it was in a Street Fight and the title was not at stake. LifeBlood came out
on top in that brutal battle, which aired on a recent episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling.”
Villain Enterprises had made things personal with LifeBlood at the Best in
the World pay-per-view in June. After successfully defending their titles against Haskins, Williams and PJ Black, Villain Enterprises revealed their fourth member. It was Flip Gordon, who moments earlier had seemingly
accepted Haskins and Williams’ invitation to join LifeBlood.
The double-crossing Gordon attacked Haskins and Williams with a kendo
stick, and Gordon, Scurll, PCO and King proceeded to deliver a four-on-two beatdown. The exclamation point on the assault saw Gordon hit a 450 Splash
to put Williams through a table outside the ring.
Will LifeBlood exact revenge by getting their first taste of gold in ROH?
Or will Villain Enterprises have the last laugh? Join us live in person or streaming for HonorClub to find out!

Fox Executives Not Worried About WWE Ratings

Fox Sports Mark Evans recently spoke with The Big Lead about the future of
the network. During the interview, the conversation steered over to WWE and their current ratings slump.
Despite the downward trend that WWE programming has taken, Evans is
optimistic about WWEs future friday night slot on Fox Sports 1.
“We feel how we’re going to present and how we’re going to promote the WWE
is going to inject it with such a new life,” Evans said. “It’s going to be
a home run for us.”
WWE Smackdown LIVE will begin airing on FS1 in the fall. The program was recently put under the creative stewardship of Eric Bischoff, as Vince
McMahon works to step away from the day-to-day of creative.

Sonya Deville Believes "Fire & Desire" Have Earned Another Title Shot,
Paige Praises The IIconics Run

This weeks edition of Monday Night Raw saw the crowning of brand new WWE
Womens Tag Team Champions, as Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross won a Fatal 4-Way elimination match to take the belts from The IIconics, who were
understandably devastated.
During the match, the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, also known as
Fire & Desire, actually scored a pinfall victory over and eliminated the
former champions. Sonya sent out a tweet stating that because of this, they should get first dibs at challenging Bliss and Cross for the belts.
So we pinned and eliminated the former champs . I think that means we get
first dibs at the new champs #RAW
- Daria Berenato (@SonyaDevilleWWE) August 6, 2019
Paige, who manages the Kabuki Warriors, took a slightly different approach
in addressing the changing of titles on Monday Night Raw. The former womens champion noted that given the actual opportunity, her girls could have had great matches with The IIconics, praising them for being very entertaining champions.
Unfortunately, that wasnt the case as WWE stopped having the womens tag
titles defended on pay-per-view as soon as The IIconics won them at WrestleMania.
What’s all said and done the #IIconics were very entertaining champions. If given the actual opportunity @WWEAsuka @KairiSaneWWE @PeytonRoyceWWE @BillieKayWWE would’ve had killer matches. Congrats to the new champs. @NikkiCrossWWE @AlexaBliss_WWE keep em warm for us ladies

All Elite Wrestling Announces October TV Tapings in Boston & Philadelphia
Posted: 06 Aug 2019 07:00 AM PDT
https://www.prowrestling.com/all-elite-wrestling-announces-october-tv-tapings-in-boston-philadelphia/
As youve probably heard by now, All Elite Wrestling will be making their
debut on primetime television with the TNT network on 10/2 with a live television taping at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
With their first weekly taping now completely sold out (although more
tickets are expected to be added at a later date), the up-and-coming
promotion now has the daunting task of taping two hours of live
professional wrestling every Wednesday for the foreseeable future.
AEW has now officially confirmed the locations of their second and third TV tapings set to take place this October. On 10/9 they will be coming to the Agganis Arena in Boston, Mass and on 10/16 the promotion will come to Philadelphia for the first time ever with a show at the Liacouras Center at Temple University.
Its expected that AEW will have sold ~13,000 tickets for the TNT debut at Capital One Arena. For episode two, the Agganis Arena is not a venue on
WWEs normal rotation, but Impact Wrestling did run it once for
Slammiversary XI in 2013 and drew just under 4,000 fans. The seating chart maxes out at 7,200 seats, but with the whole setup it will likely be significantly less.
The Liacouras Center is another venue previously run by Impact Wrestling, maxing out around 10,000 seats. Their 2009 Lockdown pay-per-view drew an estimated 4,500 and Bound for Glory VII just two years later was reported
at just over 3,500.
