Im Not Sure That Lines Up. Vince McMahon Gives Official Reason For Hiring Executive Directors.

It could take some pressure off. WWE is the biggest wrestling company in
the world and that means there is a lot of work to do. The company is run
by Vince McMahon and that means he is going to be running the majority of things that have to be done. McMahon is one of the hardest working people
in wrestling but he can’t do everything. He has since delegated some jobs and now we might know why.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, during last month’s
quarterly investors call, McMahon talked about the hiring of Paul Heyman
and Eric Bischoff as Executive Directors for Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live respectively. McMahon said that the point of their hirings is to
allow himself to look at the more long term storylines and talent
development. These changes have already taken place.

Opinion: This is a great thing to say to investors, but when you then hear about McMahon insisting that SmackDown Live be rewritten all the way up to
the second hour of the show, it isn’t the most believable thing in the
world. McMahon doesn’t seem capable of handing off any major authority, which is not the biggest surprise in the world. Maybe he is still the best option, but it might not work out that well.

(WATCH): As Advertised. WWE Star Shows Off A Very Different Character.

This one is a little different. Sometimes, wrestlers need to change things
up a little bit. Maybe the character gets stale or maybe they are out of things that they can do. A change can offer something a little different
and offers some fresh stories and feuds. Some of these are a little
smoother than others and one of the latest might be a bit different than
the usual version.

Back in July, Liv Morgan lost a match to Charlotte and snapped, promising a
new Liv Morgan. Earlier this week, a video of Morgan was posted to
Twitter, showing her sitting in her driveway as rain poured down. She was asked if she was ok and said nothing, but later made a post on Twitter,
saying that “rain is cleansing”. It is not clear when Morgan will be returning to TV with her new character, whatever that is. At the same
time, her Twitter profile picture is now blacked out with no photo of
Morgan whatsoever.

Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going and there is a chance that it isn’t going to go anywhere at all, but it’s a different enough way to go somewhere. Morgan is someone who can has all the charisma in the world and
can do a lot of things. She was called up to the main roster far too early
and needs more experience, but maybe a fresh gimmick can help her hide some
of her inexperience.

Not Everything Can Make It. Some Prominent Champions Might Not Make Summerslam.

You have to draw the line somewhere. There are going to be a lot of
matches on the Summerslam card. With about five hours to fill in total,
that is a lot of space to cover but WWE has more than enough talent to make
it work. They also have more than enough championships to make it work,
but they might just have too many titles and that could be an issue.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a chance that the
Raw Tag Team Titles and Intercontinental Titles will not be defended at Summerslam. With just over a week to go before the pay per view, neither
title has been announced for the show, which already has a nine match
card. Neither title is listed on WWE’s internal schedule for the show,
which takes place on August 11. There is always the chance that title
matches could be added to either the show itself or the Kickoff Show.

The Raw Tag Team Titles have been busy lately. Check out the titles

Opinion: I’m not sureon the titles not being on the line at Summerslam, but it wouldn’t be the biggest shock in the world. The problem is that the
card is not going to be as long this year, with the Kickoff Show being
reduced to an hour. That isn’t going to make it easy to fit everything on, though I would rather the card be lighter than trying to cram in everything
for the sake of saying it took place on the show.

RUMOR: Next Up On The List. WWE May Know Which International Star They
Want Next.

The next acquisition? WWE has shown a certainly ability to get their hands
on almost any talent they want, either from the United States or internationally. A combination of the money, exposure and prestige that
comes with working for WWE is hard to turn down for a lot of talents and
that is very understandable. It seems that WWE has their eye on someone
else at the moment.

Voices of Wrestling recently responded to a Tweet about New Japan star
Sanada, saying that he is a free agent at the moment and WWE is interested
in signing him. New Japan has been putting Sanada in higher profile feuds
in an attempt to keep him around, including a feud with Kazuchika Okada.
At the moment, there is no word on whether Sanada is interested in coming
to WWE.

Free agent, period. And the WWE rumblings are happening again.

Opinion: Sanada is certainly someone with a lot of talent and it is no
surprise that WWE has picked up on that talent. His time in Impact was a rather solid run for him and his time in New Japan has been even better.
That being said, I don’t think I can picture him actually coming over here, and that would be fine for him as well. There isn’t a bad answer for him though and hopefully he is happy in whatever he chooses to do.

A Long Night At The Office. New Details On Just How Hectic Vince McMahon
Made Things At This Weeks SmackDown Live.

It was worse than it seemed. One of the best known problems for WWE over
the years has been the last minute changes to their shows, often during the course of the show itself. This presents a major problem as it’s hard to know what you can put on during a show and work the kinks out while writing
the show as it is taking place. That was the case again this week and it
was even worse than it seemed.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon was having
this week’s SmackDown Live rewritten all the way into the second hour of
the two hour show. McMahon felt that the show did not build off of the previous week’s edition and did not help build towards Summerslam. This week’s show ended with a non-title match between AJ Styles and Kofi
Kingston, plus a mystery attacker trying to take out Roman Reigns.

Opinion: I know the big story of the summer has been Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman being hired, but how much good can they be if you have the show
being rewritten almost all the way until the last minute? There isn’t much that can be done under those circumstances and all this does is show you
just how much control McMahon still has over the entire product.

One More? Shinsuke Nakamura Posts Photo Suggesting A Possible New
Direction.

There’s always room for some new gold. Earlier this summer, AJ Styles and the Good Brothers got back together to form the OC, making the return of
one of the more popular stables in WWE. The team has seen some success
along the way as well with Styles holding the US Title and the OC winning
the Raw Tag Team Titles. Now though, there might be another champion
teasing joining up with the team.

On Saturday, Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura posted a picture
to his Twitter account showing him posing with his title along with the OC
and their titles. The caption said that he just ran into the three of them backstage. While there is no word on any plans for Nakamura to join the
team, Nakamura does seem to be teasing something with them down the road.
It should be noted that Nakamura was never part of the Bullet Club during
his time in Japan.

Opinion: I doubt anything comes from this but it’s a cool visual if nothing else. Nakamura is a popular guy still and tying him in with the
established trio could be interesting. It’s not like the Intercontinental Title has had any real value in a long time now so putting it with someone
that feels more important could be a good way to go about things. Odds are
it doesn’t go anywhere, but speculation can be fun.

Oh Dear. Seth Rollins Accused Of Sending Explicit Photos To Then Married Former WWE Star.

This isn’t going to go well whatsoever. Contrary to what you might
believe, wrestlers are real people at the same time as being television
stars. They have lives outside of the ring and off of the camera, which
can interact with each other in a variety of ways. Some of these ways do
not go well, with some people outside of the ring not being happy with some interactions, should they happen or not.

PJ Braun, the ex-husband of former WWE star Kaitlyn recently appeared on
the Delray Misfits podcast and talked about his hatred of Seth Rollins.
Braun claimed that Rollins sent nude photos of himself to Kaitlyn while she
and Braun were married. There is no timetable given for when this took
place, though Braun and Kaitlyn were married on June 20, 2014 and divorced
on September 26, 2017. Neither Rollins nor Kaitlyn have commented on the story, which was published on Thursday.

Opinion: This is just one side of the story and maybe Braun is incorrect
about what he thought happened. If it is true though, and that is
certainly an if, it doesn’t look great on Rollins’ side. Odds are this isn’t going to mean anything though as it was several years ago and Kaitlyn had not seemed to take issue with what happened. Either way, it seems like something that just happened in wrestling, such as when Rollins’ explicit pictures were leaked online a few years back.
