Another One For The Lineup. Former Lucha Underground Champion Heading To
WWE.

You have to keep the shelves stocked. There are a lot of talented
wrestlers all over the world and while there are all kinds of places for
them to work, the best known of them all is WWE. While a lot of wrestlers
may have no interest in going there, it is certainly the place with the
most money to offer and the most prestige in the wrestling world. As it
turns out, they might have a new talent on their hands.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, El Hijo de Fantasma,
possibly best known as King Cuerno from Lucha Underground, will be starting with WWE in September. There has been interest between both sides dating
back to 2016 but he was under contract to Lucha Underground at the time.
Hijo de Fantasma has since been released from his deal and was free to sign with WWE.

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world as WWE is always looking to find Hispanic stars for their roster. King Cuerno is thirty
five years old so he is experienced enough to know what he is doing but not
old enough to be too far gone. He would be a good signing for NXT (where
he would likely go) and it isn’t exactly shocking to see WWE wanting him around.

A Dancing Vince McMahon Throwing Axes. Details On Triple Hs Wild Fiftieth Birthday Party.

Would this count as a party Game? Whether you like him or not, there are
very few people with more influence in wrestling than Triple H. Not only
does he still wrestle every now and then and run the incredibly popular NXT promotion, but he is also likely to be in charge of WWE when Vince McMahon
is finally gone. Just because he has that much power doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have fun though, which was the case in July.
Triple H turned fifty years old on July 27 and had a huge birthday party to celebrate. Sean Waltman details the party on his X-Pac 1-2-360 podcast,
saying that it took place on Friday and Saturday in New Hampshire with
about fifty people in attendance. Some of the guests included major
wrestling names including Vince McMahon, Kevin Nash, Batista, Shawn
Michaels, Scott Hall and Ric Flair.
The event included activities such as jet skis, go karts, and ax throwing,
plus incredible food such as lobster, swordfish and prime rib. A local
band played and a huge light show followed, complete with hundreds of
drones displaying the DX logo with the band playing the group’s theme
song. After Triple H gave a short speech, rock legends John Fogerty (of Creedence Clearwater Revival) and Billy Gibbons (of ZZ Top) both
performed. There was also a lot of dancing, including Vince McMahon
“owning the dance floor”.

Opinion: My goodness. You knew something like this was going to be big but this sounds like one of the coolest nights you’ll ever hear about. Having the DX logo in the sky with the band playing is a bit much but that’s quite the guest list and you can imagine how many other people weren’t
mentioned. Triple H is a huge star in wrestling and has some pretty famous friends, so hopefully he had a great time with all of them.

Hes Gaining Influence. Paul Heyman Causes Major Change To Monday Night Raw (You May Have Noticed).

Now that’s some influence. It is no secret that Paul Heyman has become a major influence on Monday Night Raw, which is a good sign given that he is
in control of the show. While Heyman is running the TV show, it is still
Vince McMahon’s company though, and that means McMahon’s vision is what matters most. But what if Heyman can change that vision just a bit?
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Heyman was able to convince McMahon to drop the policy of having no wrestling taking place during the commercial breaks of Monday Night Raw. The policy, which was never
announced on television, had been in place for a little over a month and
saw almost every match on Monday Night Raw either shortened or having some reason to pause the action heading into a break. This could have been due
to a restart, interference or making the match two out of three falls.

Opinion: Heyman is clearly going to be someone who can get some stuff done
and if that is the case, it is quite possibly going to serve as a positive change for the show and the fans. The no wrestling during breaks idea was
far from the most necessary idea and stuck out like a sore thumb every
single week. Focus on what needs to be done rather than forcing solutions
to problems that didn’t really exist in the first place.

Stick Around For A Bit. WWE Legend Signs With WWE For Life (Basically).

You can’t say he doesn’t deserve it. There are legendary wrestlers and then there are really legendary wrestlers. In today’s wrestling world,
there are very few who are on the level of the Undertaker, who has been
around for nearly thirty years in WWE alone, and there is no reason to
believe he won’t make it all the way to the milestone. Now, we have more proof that he is getting that far.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Undertaker has signed a
new contract with WWE. While the exact length and value of the deal is not
yet known, it is said to be long enough that it is virtually a lifetime contract. Undertaker has been a part of the company since November 1990
with his most recent match taking place at July’s Extreme Rules event. His next match with the company is not yet known.

Opinion: Is this any kind of a surprise? Undertaker is the definition of
the WWE guy as he is never going to go anywhere else and I don’t think
anyone else was ever going to believe that was the case. He is as iconic
of a character as WWE has ever produced and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. Let him be there as long as he wants to be, and given his loyalty, you could easily say that WWE owes it to him.

Here We Go Again. Controversial Wrestler To Return To The Ring.

Nice to see you againI think. There are some wrestlers that come and go
from wrestling and some wrestlers who make noise no matter what they’re doing. Some of the people are not going to leave the business no matter
what, which could be due to a love of the industry or not having much else
to do. It seems to be another case of the latter this time around as a familiar name is returning to the ring.
Enzo Amore recently appeared on the Store Horsemen Podcast where he
announced that he will be returning to the ring for Northeast Wrestling on August 16 in Poughkeepsie, New York. This will be Amore’s first match
since January 2018 when he was fired from WWE. At the moment, Amore does
not have an opponent named, though he is hoping that it will be someone
under 205lbs. Amore appeared at a Northeast Wrestling event in June where
he was beaten up by Jon Moxley.

Opinion: Amore is one of the most controversial figures in recent years as everyone has an opinion on him in one way or another. His in-ring work has never been the best and WWE didn’t seem to miss him, though he is certainly someone who can get attention whenever he wants it. I’m not sure whether
he is going to be in the ring full time again, but a one off appearance is better than nothing for him.

An Unsuited Pair? WWE To Make A Major Change In The Fall.

You have to keep them apart. One of the biggest stories this year has been
the hiring of Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff to run Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live respectively. These moves were made to help fix a variety
of problems WWE is having at the moment and with some luck, the moves could start to turn things around. The new hirings could bring a major change
with them though, and those could be happening soon.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live lineups will be kept separate starting with the October 4 SmackDown Live debut on FOX. There will be some minor crossover from time
to time, but for the most part the shows will be separate entities with different stories and rosters. There are no current plans for major roster changes.

Opinion: You kind of have to do this and there is no way around it. Having
the same stories and all of the crossover leaves the audience with little reason to watch both shows so having them be separate worlds with different stories and roster is a good idea. You can only do so much with the roster split not meaning anything and that has become very clear in recent months.

They Dont Sound Happy. Top Tag Team Again Hints At Leaving WWE.

Not so fast again? The rise of AEW and various other promotions have
changed a lot about the way wrestling works. With so many other options available, a lot of talent, including the WWE roster, is now interested in seeing what else they can do with their careers. Some of the wrestlers
seem more interested in others, and that is the case again with a rather prominent tag team.
The Revival’s Scott Dawson Tweeted out a message on Thursday, saying that
he and Dash Wilder will see Arn Anderson soon. This would seem to be a suggestion that the team is leaving WWE when their contracts expire, though
it is not clear where they would be going. Anderson was let go from WWE earlier this year but has yet to sign with another wrestling company.

Opinion: I’m not sure what to think of this as Revival certainly does seem
to be wanting to get out of the company no matter what. They have yet to
sign a new contract with WWE and given how they were presented in recent months, can you really blame them? Yeah they won the Tag Team Titles a few weeks ago, but maybe they think that they were just being given a bone to
try and keep them around.

RUMOR: Bill Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns Could Happen at SummerSlam

As of this writing, Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz is scheduled for SummerSlam.
The WWE Universe is convinced that match is a smokescreen and Bill Goldberg will be returning for a match with Ziggler, according to a report from RingSideNews. Ziggler has been jabbing at Goldberg for weeks now. A match between them would make a lot of sense.
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns was attacked on SmackDown Live and the rumors are saying that the angle is meant to set up Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns for SummerSlam. That is an interesting rivalry that could continue beyond next Sunday, but WWE officials could be planning something massive for
SummerSlam: Bill Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns.
A recent report from talkSport claims that WWE officials want to help
Goldberg recover from the disastrous match with The Undertaker. At Extreme Rules, The Undertaker had an incident free tag team match at Extreme Rules. Now, its Goldbergs turn to regain a bit of credibility with the fans. On
paper, thats why the match with Dolph makes sense.
Ziggler can put him over without the loss hurting him. Goldberg would be a surprise for the WWE Universe and he would get better career ending than
Saudi Arabia. However, all the pieces are there for Goldberg to be revealed
as the culprit who attacked Reigns.

Dolph Ziggler has been bad mouthing Goldberg for weeks and the rumor mill
was just running stories about how WWE officials and Vince McMahon was
furious with Bill Goldberg. A week later, the rumor mill is convinced that Goldberg is facing Ziggler at SummerSlam? The rumors arent giving a
consistent narrative of WWEs creative plans.
Here are the facts, Miz vs. Ziggler is scheduled for the event. WWE just
ran an angle to revealed Romans opponent for the show. Daniel Bryan is the rumored favorite, but the possibility of Goldberg vs. Reigns has been
talked about for years. WWE officials could use a big match for SummerSlam,
and this may be the set up to also turn Goldberg heel.
At this point, its totally plausible that the WWE Universe would boo Bill Goldberg out of Toronto is he returns to get a quick win over Dolph Ziggler
to mask the poor job he did in Saudi Arabia. The fans are smarter than that
and could turn on him. With Goldberg vs. Reigns, theres excitement and
fewer people would be thinking about Saudi Arabia.

Save The Space. More Matches Rumored For Summerslam Card.

Just in case we don’t have enough. We are less than two weeks away from Summerslam and that means we need to finish wrapping up the card. So far
WWE has announced nine matches for the card, which will take place over the usual four hour time slot, plus a one hour Kickoff Show. In theory that
will mean most of the card is set, though there are more matches rumored
for the show.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are four matches
which are likely to be added to the card. Most of these matches have been teased on the main wrestling shows and there is a chance that these will be added in the final week of television. In addition to this, various other matches that have been teased for the show could be added, though they were
not on the internal WWE card. Here are matches still scheduled to be announced:
Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan
Women’s Tag Team Titles: IIconics(c) vs. Kabuki Warriors vs. Sonya Deville/Mandy Rose vs. Alexa Bliss/Sonya Deville
Cruiserweight Title: Drew Gulak (c) vs. Oney Lorcan
Drew McIntyre vs. Cedric Alexander

Opinion: This card is going to be rather long and I’m not sure how well they’re going to be able to fill in this much in the time they have. If
all of these matches are added without anything else, we are looking at a thirteen match card in five hours. That isn’t leaving a lot of time for a lot of the matches themselves and it’s going to become a problem. WWE has never learned that before, so expect a longer show than advertised.

Add It To The Card. AEW Announces Another Huge Addition To Their TNT Debut Show.

The gold continues to grow. We are just over two months away from the
debut of AEW on TNT with their weekly two hour television show. The
television show is going to change things in the wrestling world for the
better as there will now be several new things to watch in the wrestling
world. Now though, the company has announced one major things for the
first episode.
In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, Brandi Rhodes has announced
that AEW will crown its first ever Women’s Champion on the October 2 debut episode on TNT. This is the third title announced for the promotion,
following the World Title which will be decided at All Out and the Tag Team Titles, which will be crowned in a tournament starting in the fall. There
is no word on how the title will be decided.

Opinion: That show is starting to get packed and I’m curious to see where things are going to go from here. The Women’s Title is certainly not a surprise as you could tell the company cares about its women’s division
quite a bit. I’m not sure what they’re going to do to crown a champion, but a one off match instead of a tournament would not surprise me. This is
one of the things they had to have and hopefully it works out well.

Hall of Famer Harley Race Passes Away At Age 76

We have some sad news to report, as WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race has
passed away at the age of 76 as a result of Lung Cancer.
Below is the official report from WWE.com:
Harley Race captured the NWA World Heavyweight Championship seven times,
which stood as a record until Ric ??????Flair broke it in 1991.
To this day, only a handful of Superstars can claim to have won more World Heavyweight Championships than Race.
During the 1970s and early 1980s, Race was the National Wrestling
Alliance’s most dominant champion, winning the sports oldest World Heavyweight Championship from the likes of Dory Funk Jr., Giant Baba, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes and Flair.
The tough-as-nails Race was so universally respected that WWE, despite
having seceded from the NWA and having its own World Heavyweight Champion, chose to recognize Races title status as well. As a result, Race was the
first NWA Champion to engage in title unification matchups against WWE Champions like Superstar Billy Graham and Bob Backlund.
In what seemed unthinkable at the time, Race, one of the NWA’s most influential figures of all time, joined WWE in 1986 during the companys national expansion. After winning the King of the Ring tournament, Race was
the first to don regal robes and a crown. “King” Harley Race was managed by Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and was introduced to a new generation of fans. Race battled all of WWE’s top heroes and pinned Junkyard Dog at
WrestleMania III in front of a record-setting attendance of 93,000 fans.
