CM Punk is coming to Starrcast!

While details are scarce at this time, former WWE Champion and UFC fighter
CM Punk has been officially announced for an appearance at the four-day pro wrestling convention taking place in Chicago, IL this Labor Day weekend.

Individual passes and weekend bracelets are still available for Starrcast.

For what its worth, because people are going to immediately make this connection, CM Punk being announced for Starrcast in no way confirms that
he will be appearing at AEW All Out. The two are completely separate
entities that work together in conjunction for major destination weekends.

Wrestling Legend Tully Blanchard Signs Multi-Show Agreement w/ AEW

Shawn Spears Secures Wrestling Legend Tully Blanchard as Exclusive Advisor
in AEW 

(July 18, 2019) – During last night’s episode of AEW’s “The Road to All Out,” Shawn Spears unveiled the ace up his sleeve in the form of legendary wrestling villain Tully Blanchard. Effective immediately, Blanchard has
entered into a multi-show agreement with Spears and AEW.

Blanchard, a second generation star who is widely considered one of the
most notorious and treacherous wrestlers of all time, was a member of the
world renowned Four Horsemen, the NWA World Television Champion and holder
of multiple tag team titles.

“Shawn Spears’ new advisor Tully Blanchard is a legendary retired wrestler and a canny tactician known worldwide for his vicious streak and penchant
for chicanery,” said Tony Khan, President and CEO of AEW. “Given the challenge that Shawn has issued to Cody for a match at ALL OUT as well as
the long, bitter history between Tully and the Rhodes family, plus Shawn’s recent behavior in AEW, it appears that Tully Blanchard has a great deal of influence over Shawn’s intents and actions. This indicates that going
forward Shawn Spears will be one of the most feared and unpredictable
wrestlers in AEW.”

All Elite Wrestling AEW is a new professional wrestling promotion headlined

MLW today announced Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Richard Holliday for MLW: Never Say Never 19 at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City on July 25. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.

Brian Pillman Jr.s first year in MLW was noteworthy.  Not only did he
deliver on the hype but distinguished himself as the 2018 Rookie of the
Year and 1/3 of the most popular and arguably most dominant trio in MLW in
the Hart Foundation.

However, Richard Holliday, one half of the new World Tag Team Champions, scoffs at Pillmans accolades and praise. For Richard Holliday, image and the brand is everything. He has labeled Pillman a fraud and
called him out on social media and FUSION.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Pillman has accepted the 63
Westport, CT champions challenge and thus, the two will meet with bragging rights on the line next Thursday at the Melrose Ballroom.

Will Holliday prove to the consumers Pillman isnt the real deal? Will

Shawn Michaels Joining Smackdown Live Commentary Team Next Week

Shawn Michaels is one of dozens of legends and Hall of Fame names confirmed
for next weeks WWE Raw Reunion, dubbed the biggest reunion in the history
of Monday Night Raw, but it looks like the Heart Break Kid wont just be appearing on the red brand, as previously anticipated.

Michaels tweeted out Thursday morning confirming that he will be staying on with the WWE crew heading into next Tuesday nights edition of Smackdown
Live as well. Mr. WrestleMania will actually be joining the commentary
team, although for what purpose and percentage of the show is currently unknown.

Backstage Plans for Bray Wyatts First Opponent Back at SummerSlam

With regard to Bray Wyatt returning to Monday Night Raw this week, many
have wondered if the segment was the start to a longer-term program with
The Fiend, or if the attack was perhaps a way to write-off Finn Balor. Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported earlier this week that Balor would be taking upwards of two months away from the ring to recharge.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that Wyatt vs. Balor is in fact on the card for this years WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view in Toronto,
taking place on Sunday, August 11th. While this could change, a source also noted that Balor is not currently slated to use The Demon gimmick during
the match.

Bully Ray Gives Advice On How To Keep Bray Wyatts Fiend Gimmick Fresh

During the latest episode of the Busted Open Radio show, Bully Ray gave his thoughts on how WWE should handle Bray Wyatts new gimmick to keep it fresh.

If you pick your spots with Bray Wyatt, just like they did Monday night,
you will have something special, Bully stated. If Im Bray Wyatt, Im looking
at a couple of the hurdles the Undertaker had to get over with that
character, that is very similar to the fiend character, right now. I want
to keep myself fresh, nothing can be prostituted, nothing can be given
away, nothing should be done with the fiend that is a throwaway and doesnt
even matter, everything has to mean something.

If you take a look at the fiend, its really kind of a gimmicky gimmick.
This is like Doink was taken to the millionth level. You dont want it to
get stale, how do you not make it stale? You make it special. You dont do
it every single week, you find the right people at the right time, and the right time is when you normally expect it to happen the least.

Bully continued by stating that Bray himself is the key to this being a success:

Bray is the key, Bully reiterated. He is the one to make sure, he has got
to say no. if they say, Hey Bray youre going to go out there and do this,
if he doesnt feel one-hundred percent right, he has to say no and he has to stick to his guns. Its hard, but he knows what is going to get this
character over. Nine times out of ten, the wrestler knows what is going to
get their character over better than creative does.
