WWE NXT Superstar Dakota Kai recently took to Twitter to update fans on her injury status. Kai tweeted a hopeful GIF of herself, as well as the caption
a matter of weeks, suggesting the popular New Zealander will return sooner, rather than later.

Kai injured her knee at a December NXT Live event, but promised to come
    back stronger than ever.

Johnny Impact Possibly Done With IMPACT Wrestling

    Posted: 08 Jul 2019 11:52 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/johnny-impact-possibly-done-with-impact-wrestling/

PWInsider is reporting that John Hennigan (aka Johnny Impact) finished his
run with the company at Sundays Slammiversary event, one year after he
returned to the company. Hennigan lost to X-Division champion Rich Swann.

Hennigans contract expired several weeks ago but wanted to see his feud
with Swann to completion. The company is still in talks with him about continuing with the promotion, but he is now free and clear to negotiate
    with any and all promotions.

Hennigan won the IMPACT World Championship at last years Bound For Glory
event. He originally signed with the company in 2017, but took time off to
film a season of Survivor. Hes also been a pillar of Lucha Underground, as
    well as WWEs ECW revival.

There is no word on where Hennigan will wrestle after this, but he has a
film entitled The Iron Sheik Massacre that is due for release in the fall.

Why Did Tessa Blanchard Lose At Slammiversary?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2019 11:38 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/why-did-tessa-blanchard-lose-at-slammiversary/

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Tessa Blanchard lost to
Sami Callihan at Sundays Slammiversary event because IMPACT Wrestling didnt want fans to feel that Tessa Blanchard was being shoved down fans throats, citing the reactions for Roman Reigns in WWE.

IMPACT is reportedly very high on Tessa Blanchard, and see serious star potential in her. The match was intended to showcase her, however the plan
was for Callihan to win from the beginning. Dave Meltzer cited Daniel Bryan
as someone that has gotten over with that kind of backwards booking.

For those unfamiliar, Callihan pinned Blanchard with two piledrivers to get
the win, but after the match the notorious heel handed Blanchard her
baseball bat in seemingly a show of respect.

Gallows & Anderson To Be With WWE Until 2024?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2019 11:18 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/gallows-anderson-to-be-with-wwe-until-2024/

PWInsider is reporting that former-WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows
& Karl Anderson recently signed new five-year deals with the company. The contracts will run through July of 2024.

Gallows & Anderson had been reported to be reluctant to sign new contracts
with the company, but PWInsider cites their recent push and rekindled
alliance with AJ Styles, as well as a financial offer that is ridiculously amazing.

All Elite Wrestling has officially announced that Frankie Kazarian and
Scorpio Sky of SoCal Uncensored will be in action this coming Saturday
night at Fight for the Fallen, in a battle of two of the greatest tag teams
in the world. The two will square off against the AAA World Tag Team
Champions Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix.

Given that the promotion is pushing wins and losses as a major part of the
AEW formula when they start on television this fall, the Lucha Brothers
will be looking for a big win here after losing to the Young Bucks and The Elite in back-to-back performances at Double or Nothing, and Fyre Fest.

SCU is in a bit better shape after scoring a victory as a trio, including Christopher Daniels, defeating the Strong Hearts at Double or Nothing. They werent as lucky at Fyre Fest, where Daniels lost in singles competition to CIMA, and both Kazarian and Sky lost a triple threat tag team match to the
Best Friends, in a wild bout that also included the newly signed Private
    Party.

    Heres the updated match card

Jon Moxley On WWE Hiring Paul Heyman & Eric Bischoff

    Posted: 08 Jul 2019 07:29 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/jon-moxley-on-wwe-hiring-paul-heyman-eric-bischoff/

AEWs Jon Moxley recently spoke with The Store Horsemen where he discussed
WWEs decision to hire Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff. Below are some
highlights from the interview with a H/T to WrestlingInc.com for the transcriptions.

On WWE hiring Heyman and Bischoff:

They definitely made some kind of move, Moxley said. Paul Heyman is really smart it sounds like that is a great idea. I just hope Vince lets them do
their ideas. Its not just I made him head of creative, but Im telling him
what to do type of thing.

Eric Bischoff was behind the NWO, he also presided over some crappy WCW
shows. He is probably pretty motivated to make you forget that part of the resume. The more wrestling that is good, the more fans that there are and
the better it is for everybody.

On AEW not taking on WWE directly:

This is not the Monday Night Wars, Moxley mused. Now, we are over here
doing this, they are always going to be there, it would be a fools errand
to try and take them down, it wouldnt be good for the wrestling business to
try and take them down. We are providing a good alternative, showing that
there is a world outside of that.

Sasha Banks Advertised For An Upcoming WWE Raw

    Posted: 08 Jul 2019 07:02 AM PDT https://www.prowrestling.com/sasha-banks-advertised-for-an-upcoming-wwe-raw/

Local advertisements have potentially spoiled when Sasha Banks will be
making her return to WWE Raw, later on, this month in Tampa, Florida.

The Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida recently updated their website and currently list Banks as one of the Superstars scheduled to appear when they host RAW on July 22nd, which would be her first appearance since
    WrestleMania 35.

It is worth noting that Sasha Banks has also been featured on the WWE SummerSlam poster, which is the next PPV event after Extreme Rules.

Of course, as always the card is subjected to change, so there is a chance
that Sasha Banks might not appear at all.
