First of all, who said that the NFL was rigged? The players certainly don't think so - otherwise there probably wouldn't be a Super Bowl as there would be an NFLPA strike.

Second, who said that a rigged NFL would affect Super Bowl ratings?

Third, if anyone did say that, their response would almost certainly be one of: "Most of them were watching (a) the commercials and (b) Rhianna."

It was actually the third most-watched television program in the history of the medium in the US. (the only other two were the Super Bowl six or seven years ago and the moon landing)
