When my dad was driving it for a bit he actually said "michael, I think I can actually see the gas gauge arrow moving down
in real time"......and I believe that he could. Like wtf.....

    lmao.....

thanks, GM. That's what the car you guys sold me has gotten in the last week.

Now granted it was all just around town at lower speeds and there was no highway driving, but still....

And I don't really care lol. It's not like I will notice the extra hundred or two hundred bucks or whatever it will cost per month(probably the former because I don't even drive this most days depending), but what annoys me more is just having to stop
and pull over for gas so often.

Because the tank is only like 15 or 16 gallons. I wouldn't give a crap if it got even 4 miles per gallon if it had a decently large tank. Any car experts know what the advantage of having such a small tank? It should hold at least 25 gallons imo.....

but it's more funny and embaressing for gm than anything. I mean how do you produce a sedan that someone managed to get single digit gas mileage for a whole week?

I know very very little about car engineering and the science behind internal combustion engines and how they burn gas efficiently, but I have to think even I could improve on 9 miles per gallon lmao.....

Pretty much everytime I take it for a short drive somewhere now and start by stopping off for gas. Ridiculous GM....

It’s rated for 13 mpg city, so it’s not like you weren’t warned. Also just
to drive home the point, you don’t notice the $2,100 gas guzzler tax on the sticker?

The small tank is probably because the body is shared with more efficient
cars. The rental Malibu I drove last month had a 15 gallon tank, hmmmm.

I have an F350 long bed for towing. Not a daily driver; I primarily use for towing. When pulling about 16000 lbs, it drops down to 9-10 mpg. But does have a 48 gallon tank. That’s painful to fill because of pump limits, it usually requires 2 credit
    cards.

My Dodge 2500 4x4 is right in there.

damn man what do you tow that is 16000 lbs? Even the biggest of my boats is like 7000 lbs I think

No I didn't lol....and I don't have the sticker with me now but I don't think that was on it(of course it was probably still
added to the price, but I don't remember it listed)

But as I said it's not so much the cost that bothers me(because I do remember seeing something like I will pay over 11 or 15k or hell who knows how much more than average over 5 years for gas with this car), but I didn't know the tank was so damn small...
.I thought I could put over a hundred bucks in and even at 13mpg or whatever be good for awhile. But it only holds like 65 bucks or 70 bucks if that of premium.

But 9 is different than 13 as well.
