Not sure why that, admittedly childish, joke caused so much consternation.

Clearly the cops who showed-up, were confused themselves. Now that 911 operator is a moran.

Most of the pushback arose from the ridiculous accusations of
rightwing involvement or culpability. That seemed unlikely (as was of
course proven to be the case), and my skepticism had mostly to do with
that. I think he doth protest too much, in other words. If the
Democrats hadn't done that, nobody would have gone there.

Elon Musk made an appropriate apology. I don't have the platform Musk
does, so I don't really have to apologize. I'm just discussing things
which are already being discussed, in internet byways.

My remaining question is -- how did this guy get the idea and the
knowledge to go there? In most incidents like this involving high-
profile people, there is some personal involvement or knowledge to
send the person to the right place. Why did he just happen to pick a
time when there was no security monitoring? It's not like you could
stalk that house without alerting someone. That is the thing which
still makes it somewhat likely, in my mind, that Paul Pelosi knew he
was coming. The guy is an obvious nut case, and things going wildly
wrong is a definite risk any time you associate with nut cases.
