The pandemic is based upon a fungal infection instead of a viral or bacterial one. As such, it's not your typical zombie TV show.

Not a fan of post-apocalyptic anything or sci-fi, though there are some exceptions.
The disease or virus typically has symptoms that are convenient to the plot. The
"The Running Dead" would be more interesting than "The Walking Dead." And why don't any of the survivors ride bikes? Because it wouldn't be a cool visual?
However, the ads for this do look interesting to me, I'll probably give it a go.
