Horrible 4th and 1 call by Lanning at the Oregon 35 yard line with about 1.5 minutes left in a tie game. IMO.

well the way Penix was throwing the Ducks had to go for it. The problem was Nix was out and Thompson not only hasn't led the Ducks to a score at any point this season, I'm not sure if they've even gotten a first down with him a QB. Consider that a punt
would have put Washington on their 25 yd line or so with a minute and a half. The way Oregon was defending, the Huskies would have likely gotten their field goal as time expired instead of letting Oregon have a minute to try to get something done.

Meanwhile it's all good (as they say). I'm satisfied with this season. Lanning is a much better game coach than Cristobal. Hopefully the lads win out and get to 10-2 and the CCG.

Maybe. When Lanning made that decision, I was incredulous -- what a maroon! Anyway, good luck the rest of the way -- unless it's against USC.
