UH OH!! Sadie and SFPD, you don't say this unless you're sure of it...

    Sadie Gurman, Wall Street Journal:

"The suspected attacker has espoused extreme right wing views on social media, including conspiracy theories about Covid-19, according to one of the law enforcement officials."

    https://twitter.com/sgurman/status/1586040764353679375

So now it comes down to if you believe it. If you do (and I'm about 70-30, the fact he's apparently homeless in Berkeley does leave me in significant question, though), then you have to conclude a right-winger with nothing left to lose found his nuts
and put his money where his mouth was -- because he was trying to kill Nancy.

It appears as if the assailant, according to an SFPD press conference this morning, was trying to find Nancy Pelosi.

According to CNN investigation, however, this appears to be a Bay Area homeless person.

David DePape was living out of a Berkeley storage unit.

Listen to him. Unless you don’t want to because it would disturb your MAGA victim complex or your false flag conspiracy theory or whatever allows you
    to pretend MAGA isn’t violent:

The man accused of attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer told police he wanted to hold the Democratic leader hostage and
“break her kneecaps” to show other members of Congress there were “consequences to actions,” authorities said Monday.

In a chilling federal complaint, officials say that David DePape, 42,
carrying zip ties, tape and a rope in a backpack, broke into the couple’s
San Francisco home early Friday morning, went upstairs where 82-year-old
Paul Pelosi was sleeping, and demanded to talk to “Nancy.”

Authorities said DePape smashed a glass door in the back of the home with a hammer, went to the upstairs bedroom and told Paul Pelosi to wake up. Confronting Pelosi, he demanded to know where “Nancy” was and said he would wait for her, according to authorities.

In an interview with police, DePape told investigators he wanted to talk to
her and viewed her “as the “leader of the pack of lies told by the Democratic Party,” according to the eight-page complaint.
“If she were to tell DePape the ‘truth,’ he would let her go and if she ’lied,’ he was going to break her kneecaps,” the complaint alleges.

“By breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other members of Congress there were
consequences to actions,” the complaint says DePape told investigators.

    Lover's quarrel.

This was reported by the Santa Monica Observer, a newspaper located (checks
Google maps) 400 miles from San Francisco. This fine news outlet has also
    reported:

    1. that Hillary Clinton was dead in 2016 and Trump defeated a body double.

    2. That President Trump appointed Kanye West to the department of the
    interior.

So par for the course for MAGA news.

Heck even Elon Musk figured out he’d been had and deleted his retweet of

I have no idea what you are on about. So Pelosi wasn't attacked by nut with a hammer?

That's the source for your "lovers quarrel" comment.

My source is the fact that one semi-naked man hit another semi-naked man with a hammer
in one of the men's San Francisco homes at 2/3 am.

WTF Are you guys getting so worked-up about? It's a joke.

Thus far I've heard two main theories regarding this attack:

    1. Pelosi was attacked by a male prostitute.
    2. The attack on Pelosi was triggered by Trump

I believe that Pelosi was attacked by one of our standard violent drug addicts with mental

My dudes, the perp told the police why he was there, plain as daylight . Listen to him. Unless you don’t want to because it would disturb your MAGA
victim complex or your false flag conspiracy theory or whatever allows you to pretend MAGA isn’t violent:

The man accused of attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer told police he wanted to hold the Democratic leader hostage and “break her kneecaps” to show other members of Congress there were “consequences to actions,” authorities said Monday.

In a chilling federal complaint, officials say that David DePape, 42, carrying zip ties, tape and a rope in a backpack, broke into the couple’s
San Francisco home early Friday morning, went upstairs where 82-year-old Paul Pelosi was sleeping, and demanded to talk to “Nancy.”

Authorities said DePape smashed a glass door in the back of the home with a
hammer, went to the upstairs bedroom and told Paul Pelosi to wake up. Confronting Pelosi, he demanded to know where “Nancy” was and said he would
wait for her, according to authorities.

In an interview with police, DePape told investigators he wanted to talk to
her and viewed her “as the “leader of the pack of lies told by the Democratic Party,” according to the eight-page complaint.
“If she were to tell DePape the ‘truth,’ he would let her go and if she
’lied,’ he was going to break her kneecaps,” the complaint alleges.

“By breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other members of Congress there were consequences to actions,” the complaint says DePape told investigators.

    BLM Protests were mostly peaceful.
Jan 6 Protests were mostly peaceful.

BLM Protests were magnitudes greater in violence and damage than Jan 6, or any other right-leaning protest.

"The actual facts - that violent crime in basically every major city n America is waaaaay down from the 80s

I won't even comment on this. The dishonesty is painfully obvious.

Yesterday I posted a CNN story about BLMer Darrell Brooks.

Brooks is racist BLM-supporting mass murderer. No mention in the story about him being a BLM supporter,
no mention of his racists posts, no fingers pointed at Biden or Harris or MSNBC or the New York Times about

The fact of the matter is, you have a recourse: Assemble a militia and kill us. It's THAT SIMPLE.

You don't have the balls to do it, unlike the BLM protests (which is how I answer TE's comment in the other post).

That's the one great paradox of American society: Most productive people are so close to the edge, they cannot even afford to be ARRESTED -- forget if there's a conviction or anything else.

Most of the rest of us have nothing left to lose. Some of us tried to play along and saw the merits of the situation and saw how little being a law-abiding citizen actually did.

You are probably going to have to kill the leftward half of the population. (About 30% or so now, the rest over the next generation or so -- especially if they are "replacing" the good White Right population.)

I have no idea what you are on about. So Pelosi wasn't attacked by nut with a hammer?

That's the source for your "lovers quarrel" comment.

My source is the fact that one semi-naked man hit another semi-naked man with a hammer

Listen to him. Unless you don’t want to because it would disturb your MAGA
victim complex or your false flag conspiracy theory or whatever allows you

The man accused of attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a
hammer told police he wanted to hold the Democratic leader hostage and “break her kneecaps” to show other members of Congress there were “consequences to actions,” authorities said Monday.

In a chilling federal complaint, officials say that David DePape, 42, carrying zip ties, tape and a rope in a backpack, broke into the couple’s
San Francisco home early Friday morning, went upstairs where 82-year-old
Paul Pelosi was sleeping, and demanded to talk to “Nancy.”

“By breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into
Congress, which would show other members of Congress there were consequences to actions,” the complaint says DePape told investigators.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/191129/reported-violent-crime-in-the-us-since-1990/

Like I said, way down since the 80s / 90s and it looks like that "great(ly) increased" spike actually happened 2016-2018.

Those years don't match your "BLM is rioting, murdering, looting, etc" predisposition, so go ahead and ignore the facts.

Never said you called out Detroit. Was the specific topic with my parents. Uhhh, hold the phone though - Detroit actually *did* have a spike in murders in 2020 that was much larger than seen in most other major US cities.

    Detroit murders by year:

    2017 267
    2018 261
    2019 272
2020 327 <---- But Tom - no BLM protests? What the heck? (*)
    2021 275

So you couldn't even get *that* right, Tom. How very perfect.

You assumed Detroit didn't have a 2020 murder spike and boldly proclaimed (as usual, without checking any actual data):

"Detroit has specifically NOT had a spike in murder rates because Detroit hadn't had the BLM riots anywhere to anywhere near to the degree as other large cities."

So why did Detroit murders "spike" in 2020, Tom?

Ahhahahahahaha you just more or less disproved your own sad little theory you glorious bastard.

    HTH. HAND.

    Cheers.

(*) There's no secret to this, most murder anywhere - urban or rural - involves people lashing out against people they know, often spouses / lovers, other family members, even close friends.

2020 had us all in a pressure cooker and probably all kinds of domestic disputes, including murder, spiked as a result.

Sadly, I imagine it was quite easy to convince the weak-minded that those easily explained spikes were due to just about anything - even the largely peaceful BLM protests - especially if they're predisposed toward believing black folk are inherently
    violent.

Tom *wants* to believe this nonsense. So, even in the face of a disagreeable reality, he boldly closes his eyes, sticks his thumbs in his ears, and *believes*!

So, even in the face of a disagreeable reality, he boldly closes his eyes, sticks his thumbs in his ears, and *believes*!

point: BLM and the Dems policies has resulted in a huge increase in murders. Keep BLM
aware from your city and your black people are far safer

Because most people in Detroit realize the battle is already lost.

    3. After decades of continuous decline violent crime in urban areas has greatly increased. Especially

Finally got them to admit that was *not* the case - and the narrative being driven by Fox News and
their ilk was dishonest. I'm sure they still went home and watched The Five though. Baby steps.
I have more faith in your parents than you do. Perhaps they 'agreed' in order to shut you up.
It is almost incomprehensible that any person with with enough brain activity to access the
internet would actually not believe that violent crime has increased in large cities in the US.
Tell us there is no inflation as well.

What would you expect his parents do, after a certain point?

I mean, I'll be frank: The creator of "Dilbert" probably has the only real answer for a lot of these young people...

His solution for violent youth is you either watch them kill other people or you kill them yourselves, even if they are your son.

(He should know -- he had one and saw no one was coming to help.)

You keep trying to push the idea that the cities are burning though. I mean, it's basically all the
GOP has in terms of a platform these days. Lies like that - doctors wanna cut off your son's
dick - etc. Books are telling your kids to be gay, so must be banned. The usual conservative
fear mongering. All lies, but a great tool to get folks all frothing at the mouth, eager to vote.

And, really, what are you gonna tell em? "We want to crush unions, put workers in their place,
and make sure folks are living paycheck to paycheck so they don't get any uppity ideas?" All
in the service of the mighty "job creators" of course. That'd be waaaay too honest.

    Cheers.
    -Oh....oh....

I honestly think you'd do between that and the classic line of "I put you in this world, I can take you out.", and actually MEAN IT.

I think another of the things you will see increased in the next few months is the number of parents who actually take kids who either are violent and unruly or basically are going to be seen as irredeemable and quietly see them gone.

And I don't mean out of the house.

As you can see comparing my Statista link with your data, Detroit's 2020 murder bump was smaller than the nationwide bump. Nationwide the increase was about 33%, more than 5500 people.

Your conjecture that it was due to lockdown induced cabin fever doesn't explain why it was concentrated among blacks and didn't start until after Floyd’s death.

That it was a direct consequence of BLM and the resultant changes in policing does explain those things.

The misinformation that police commonly kill unarmed blacks caused a lot of deaths.

    told me about it.

    ...tmml...and the hits keep coming.

"I’m not sure which is more damning — the fact that the NYT reporter thought that this faked video was worth “
reviewing,” or that the editor of the news section decided to keep it in the article. It’s not a recording of DeSantis.
We have no idea whether it’s even an accurate recollection of what DeSantis argued, and neither does the Times.
It’s a literal example of “fake but accurate.” It would be as if 60 Minutes II had admitted up front that they faked
the Killian memos but presented them anyway as evidence of what George W. Bush was really like decades
earlier. (As veterans of Rathergate will remember, that ended up being Dan Rather’s fallback position.)"

"I wish my newsfeed wasn’t full of people dressed in black moving through previously beautiful cities
burning and breaking and chanting and beating. You’d like to think it could be stopped. But we’ve
given up a lot of the things we used to think."
