Rigged and thrown. Intentional Roughing the Passer penalty to get Buffalo in FG range and allow them to run out the clock.

The NFL is hopelessly rigged, and the players are in on it.

(Same as that taunting penalty for the Chiefs last week.)

And if they kicked the FG to go up 23-20, Buffalo gets it in much better field position after the kickoff and has a higher probability of scoring the TD.

Yes, we know that they have a higher probability of scoring a TD from decent field position than they do from near their own endzone. That's based on ... analytics, which is itself based on what has actually happened in these situations in games.

How many times will we see “analytics” get in the way of a team taking momentum & control of a game… SMH it’s a game of feel, not of numbers IMHO!

    (HoF and SB winning coach)
Sometimes score, time remaining, opponent, and common sense need to take precedence over hypothetical numbers.

And I couldn't agree less. When has analytics gotten in the way of "momentum" and taking control of a game? And a lot of times, it just reinforces common sense.

Right. Doesn’t analytics usually call for more aggressive decisions than coaches usually make?

The coach's attitude is what creates the feel.

And sometimes we need to acknowledge the power of chance.
