• "Reduction in the size of the football roster"?

In the words of Hillary Clinton when she heard in the late 1990s that Rudy Giuliani's then-wife kicked him out of their house: "You...you...you...you can do that?"

Part of the penalty Air Force got from the NCAA for violating the COVID-19 dead period is a "reduction in the size of the football squad." One small detail; while some sports have roster limits (baseball has a limit of 35) in the NCAA bylaws, and others
have rule-based ones (in basketball, only 36 players may suit up for a game, as there are only 36 legal uniform numbers), football does not have either of those. (You can have multiple players with the same number, just as long as no two players with the
same number are in the same play.)

There is a limit on how large your early practices can be - 110 - but there is an exception for Air Force (and Army and Navy).

I hear that the "real" punishment is, any players involved, when they graduate, have to enter the U.S. Space Force.
