• "I'm sorry your graduate degree was the tiebreaker...."

So our group put me in charge of hiring someone. the role involves things like being a liason with hospital contracts and commercial payers. You would have to be good with negotiation, numbers, basic accounting, very organized, good people skills.

Anyways, this is what I had to tell one candidate who otherwise seemed perfectly capable. I instead chose someone who did not go to a 4 year college or get a degree at all. Went from high school to 8 years in the military to a different private sector
    job the last 4 years.

When I told him that he asked "so if I had not gotten the masters I would have the job?". I said "well no degree would be best, but yeah the masters was a mark against you for sure".

I think college and especially grad school restricts our thinking probably.....someone who was never exposed to that at all may have a higher ceiling. Maybe I'm wrong there, but we'll see how it works out....

It's CFB season, and this is what you come up with to poast on RSFC?
His season doesn't start til about December 1st.

In the past, his season has started about now, usually with a list of three or four sure-thing Week 1 bets. I am a little surprised he hasn't already posted Yet Still Even Another Death Of The Pac-12 As A Conference ("because if you're not a football
conference, you're not a conference") after what happened to Oregon and Utah and the "Empty Bowl" last weekend (and Never Mind that it was (a) against a Group of 5 team, (b) on what was forecast to be one of the hottest days in Los Angeles in the past
100 years or so with the game on TV, and (c) two or three weeks before classes even start at UCLA, so expect the student section to be pretty much deserted - still, USC probably could have gotten 50,000 there even if it was against a Division II school).

I wish I could but there just isn't enough volume here. Now I go back and forth from one cfb forum to another(individual fan forums). If things got to a point where you guys were talking football more often I would post more.

Plus work right now(really over the last year) has been insane. I'm trying to supervise 4-5 different nurse practitioners spread
amongst several sites, generating a gazillion RVUs myself across multiple inpatient and outpt sites(not even counting the collaborations), and other stuff. We brought on a new guy who literally just completed his residency training at University of
Florida teaching hospital just 2 months ago. He's giving my crap about 'my team' and how Florida is going to annihilate florida in the sec title game this year. I love anthony richardson and all(he can be super great), but I still don't see them getting
by UGA to face us. Worse he's complaining about the # of inpatients we expect him to see. Two days ago he sent me a text and said "had I stayed on at florida as a junior attending I'd only have to see 9-10 inpatients a day". I said......"ok, how about we
pay you what UF pays junior attendings as well and then that sounds fair".....so he's one reason I'm busier than I should be.

Even though the $$ have gone up considerably from even a year ago, at some point the $$ just aren't worth it. Once you
reach a certain point you're like "what's the point?"......I'm off this weekend however so I am going to enjoy the beatdown we are going to give Texas in Austin,Tx in about 42 hrs. (I won't be there....which I'm fine with. The only game I plan to go to
this year is likely the secc game again. I may go to the A&M game 4 weeks from now)

But yeah I will check in more often with football thoughts throughout the season now that it has started....

    Waiting with bated breath.

Because that post should've been made about the moment USC and UCLA announced they were bolting for the Big Ten.

(and Never Mind that it was (a) against a Group of 5 team, (b) on what was forecast to be one of the hottest days in Los Angeles in the past 100 years or so with the game on TV, and (c) two or three weeks before classes even start at UCLA, so expect

Remember, if it's All About Football, he wouldn't mind if a player collapsed and died on the field in the heat.

And now we know why he’s not

this is the first year in like 15 years we haven't had at least one elite wide reciever. Starting with julio in 2008 to Amare cooper to
calvin ridley to the 4 first round pick guys staggered across 4 years then to Jamison Williams. That's like 14 straight years of
having at least one first round elite guy at wide reciever.

Now we clearly don't have that. And it's showing.

Now can Bama still end up winning the national title? Of course, that game looked a lot like last year's Auburn game
to be honest, and we were 2 star wide recievers each tearing their ACLs away from winning a natl title that year. So maybe we
are a lot better than we showed yesterday and that was just a bad game. But even if it was, there is no doubt that
not having any top end wide reciever talent for the first time in a decade and a half is going to be difficult to overcome.
