• There's an onion in the ointment in Notre Dame's playoff chances

From The NOTBCS Guy@21:1/5 to All on Mon Aug 29 15:11:43 2022
Every time the CFP committee meets to vote to rank teams when Notre Dame is one of the 6-8 choices, both Boo Corrigan and Rod West have to sit out the vote. It turns out that West is a trustee at ND, while Corrigan's brother Kevin is the men's lacrosse
head coach there (and yes, having a brother - or sister - working for a school is grounds for recusal from votes involving that school).

They may need that win over Ohio State this weekend.

Well the Vegas line favors the Buckeyes by 17.5 points. But Notre Dame doesn't need to worry. I figure you'll just make your usual looney rant and threaten to get a gun and start shooting OSU players, coaches and fans.

Try making a post without using profanity. It will make you

No. You couldn't read it otherwise. Republicans are that stupid and uneducated.

Another reason no one should care about college football until Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State play each other.

Notre Dame is #6. Ohio State #2.

Another reason no one should care about college football until Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State play each other.

So, Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State all enter Championship Saturday 12-0, and none of them have any reasonably serious injury problems that might cost them a game along the way? Otherwise, somebody needs to be caring about those other games.

I wonder what odds I can get in Vegas on something like that (most likely having to bet all 36 games separately, against the money line.
Then again, Georgia is -900 against Oregon - if all 33 FBS games were like that, a 33-game parlay only pays about 31-1.

But you are counting, on an absurd level, on that happening.

No, the person who claimed, "Another reason no one should care about college football until Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State play each other," is counting on it.

I (the person who made that claim) disagree. Count me the number of games in which any of the three teams are not double-digit favorites, even against other top teams.

Now I'm not sure we care about it at all.

    One game within 17 points.

Jawjaw gonna smoke all, it looks like.
