    1. The folksy tone is a bit over the top. "Narrator Mike MacRae pushes his folksy tone rather insistently throughout “Facing Nolan” — it’s probably not a good idea to engage in a drinking game that requires taking a shot each time he refers to “

    This caught my attention. On a whim, I drove from Ames, IA to KC
    one morning because Ryan was pitching against Bret Saberghagen at
    Royals stadium. It went extra innings and by all accounts was a
    worthwhile game...
