• School Loyalty? What's That?

From The NOTBCS Guy@21:1/5 to All on Mon Apr 25 12:22:24 2022
The NCAA just released Transfer Portal data for 2021, in which it says that about 1 out of every 6 FBS football players entered the transfer portal. Of course, this pales in comparison to the 1 out of every 3 Division I men's basketball players in the
    portal.

The schools made it one, only fair for the players to follow suit.

It kind of sucks when your school (Cal) has such a bad men’s basketball program that you wish 1 out of 3 would enter the portal but it doesn’t happen because nobody wants them. In the past, the few good ones have left. A couple did well, most rode
    the bench.

You don't play college football or basketball for an education.

Yes, I know the math, and I know people use it to try to dissuade, but this is why you're beginning to see players picked out of high school for things like Overtime Elite and the NBA G-League Selects.

They're there to get to The Show. And it's time we stop deluding ourselves otherwise.

Maybe it's time Cal just dropped the sport, then.

(And others in the same vein follow suit.)
