• hilarious statement by/about the Academy

From Eric Ramon@21:1/5 to All on Mon Mar 28 17:17:35 2022
    As reported by CNN

"Earlier on Monday, CNN learned that Academy leadership "strongly considered" removing Smith from the Oscars telecast after the incident, according to a source close to the situation. "

"There were immediate discussions but the Academy decision makers were seated in various spots in the Dolby Theater and couldn't mobilize to make a decision before he won best actor", the source said".

It looks to me like the slap and the award were an hour and a half apart. I suspect they all had their cell phones but it might not have occurred to them to use 'em.

Can't argue with that. Tis true. I think Dolly Parton should have gotten an Oscar. While technically not in any film this past year she's contributed greatly to whatever it is they judge by.

Agreed. Dolly should've swept all awards this year and last -- Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Academy, Golden Globe, you name it.

This band deserves an award, if only for their stage presence.

Smith was so outraged at this disrespect of his wife, he moved Rock from #9 to #25 on the list of guys who
are going to bang her next week.

That hostage video where she’s telling him about her relationships and his look tells you this is a horribly abusive relationship.

Well, at least it got CNN to cover black-on-black crime.
