• It's all the NBA's fault

From The NOTBCS Guy@21:1/5 to All on Tue Mar 8 14:52:00 2022
Apparently, the whole Brittney Griner problem is the fault of the NBA, since it doesn't shovel enough money into the WNBA so that its players can make enough (in a 32-game regular season, mind you) so they don't need to make extra money by playing in
    Russia in the first place.

For a good hate read, I sometimes go to deadspin to find-out what the lunatics are saying. I just knew they'd have a great take on this story:

    America has failed Brittney Griner
Why does one of the best basketball players in history have to play ball in Russia anyway?

"One of the best?" Will concede that there is a possibility that she is in the top 1,000,000
of the greatest basketball players. Maybe. But we 'failed' her. What a shame. We're
    terrible.

Hey, they should have a bake sale to pay for their salaries!
Or maybe...maybe...sell some tickets to their games? That would
    get them a better salary.

What seems to be missing in all of the BG reporting is whether she
routinely used hashish/cannabis oil. If it is illegal in Russia she
needs to obey their laws. I feel bad for her, but she needs to act
    responsibly.
